| The drama in the beginning was just great. I don't like the main charakter too much because she seems a litle plain but Manabe is interesting. Manabe don't seem to bee the average guy character from anime. I realy hope this anime turns out good, bekause at last the plot has realy much potenttial. 5/5 |

| yes, this was sad start but when Manabe thoughts jump in I couldn't stop laughing and somehow I ended up smiling for the rest of episode as much as dislike characters like him - this time being not the brightest simpleton worked nice here best first episode of season (not taking into account Minami-ke) |

| Oh wow, this was an extremely surprising anime. Her past was pretty saddening and horrible but dam, the show sure brightened up fast. |

| That was the saddest start to a comedy I've ever seen--but also one of the best. Having established just why Kotoura is the way she is so thoroughly, I hope we never have to go through that again. I see that the grandfather and the priest made a reappearance in some of the scenes under the ED, but was that also her mother shown there? If it is, she has a lot to make up for. And a big reminder that discretion is a cardinal virtue for telepaths, empaths, and anyone with powers out of the ordinary. |

| Wow. I stumbled on this show just checking out new releases by HorribleSubs, and OMG what a great find. I actually got the feels during the first half seeing Kotoura's past. Very few anime/shows that I've seen have pulled that off. I know this show is first and foremost a comedy and we likely wont see this level of darkness for the rest of the season, but I like the somewhat unique premise of the show. Definitely one to watch for this season. |

| I don't...what? Where in holy hell did that come from? It was far from the greatest executed drama, but I was so taken aback by it coming from what I thought was going to be a dumb cutesy fluffy comedy that it ended up getting beneath my natural cynicism barrier. |

Most likely do to the fact that he was a stereotypical sexist douche to begin with. Mother, at first you could simply say was run ragged by dealing with it on her own. Given Japanese intolerance towards "tough issues". In the end she just lost patience and turned on the object of her agony, Haruka. I think by the end. Their marriage was one big lie. Neither loved each other anyone. Haruka just could see the lies and called them on it. I guess instead of realizing it wasn't working and dealing with it. They tried the sugarcoat method. And when that failed. The one who blew it up was the one to receive the most vitriol. Still, I can never forgive any parent who says what she did when she left. megucas said: This is supposed to be a comedy? That intro was way too dark for any show, let alone some comedy. Then it flips on a dime into this generic comedy. I have no idea what it's trying to be at this point. It's just too depressing for me to like. I really think the beginning agony is character development. You needed to see how Haruka came to be the way she is. In order to understand how she'll act throughout the series. Even in this episode the beginning part let you understand why Haruka got angry over the MC saying that her ESP was awesome. To her it's a curse. |
