Photokano.

It's so completely awful, but it's that special type of awful that makes it hilarious.
And what if all love is an act of bravery?

Could you look me in the eye and say that you are not afraid?

Lucky Star. It's funny and all but it's a pain to watch when someone is around.

Sword Art Online for sure. It's really not that good of an anime, but god it looked beautiful. So did Asuna. She's pretty, but she was the most generic damsel in distress ever... I mean she was

And I had a girly sort of desire to see their relationship develop. Past that though... it got corny. Really, really corny.
I wrote an API for MAL, written in pure Python.

It wraps around the Official MAL API and improves on it, as well as adding some new features. Check it out!:

Guilty Pleasure?

hmmm... Something that I feel guilty about enjoying..

Nothing spring to mind, normally if I like something, I don't feel guilty over liking it.

First one was Fate/stay night before I saw Fate/Zero

The other one is Sword Art Online. The soundtrack, animation and the sword fights were really good, but they completely ruined it with the characters and plot, they really screwed Asuna up

I'd say Sekirei. I think it was in season 2 when it was mentioned that, eventually ALL sekirei must fight each other and that only ONE sekirei and their ashikabi can win. After that I thought, WAIT A TICK! That means that Musubi and Tsukiumi and Kuu have too.....*KABOOM* OH SHIT!!! So thats why i like Sekirei I guess :\

Any shounen ai or yaoi series. Not something I would watch with someone looking over my shoulder. Also, the speed with which I go through episodes of this stuff is really pretty embarrassing.

I guess I USED to feel guilty about it, but...

So I guess Cardcaptor Sakura, once upon a time would be it. I mean, if you bumped into me on the street, you'd probably be surprised (I'm told I'm an intimidating looking individual) but I'm a sucker for a 'good' love story.

Hmm, if I had to pick out five guilty pleasures...

Angel Beats! - This is my favorite anime of all-time and I said in my review that it's the most flawed anime I'd ever give a 10. There were some pretty obvious plot holes and nonsensical explanations, but I absolutely loved each character's back stories (at least the ones they elaborated on). To this day, I don't think a scene has had a bigger impact on me than the end of Yui's arc.

Bleach - For the record, I do think Bleach is shit. I am flabbergasted that I watched all but a handful of episodes and the few episodes I didn't watch were filler eps that I wanted no part of, like the Karakuraizer fillers for example. I absolutely loved the first three seasons, but it went downhill in a hurry and I kept watching and hoping the series would turn around. Unfortunately, it never did. I still consider myself a Bleach "fan," but that doesn't mean I am happy with the series...not in the least.

Sankarea - While there seems to be some disdain for this series, I really liked it. It had its hilarious moments and it's downright serious and dramatic moments. The tension between Danichirou and the rest of the cast was breathtaking to watch. I don't think I've ever hated a character so much, but still felt a sense of pity for him.

Seitokai no Ichizon - I don't know what I consider more of a guilty pleasure...that I liked this anime, or I'm the only one that actually liked Ui. I freaking loved Ui's character. I'm not sure what it was, but I loved how hilariously nonsensical she was when it came to food. To me, I really liked this series because it seemed to have a really nice balance of comedy, romance, and drama. It was a little heavier toward the comedy, but I'll still take it. My biggest beef with the series is it does have your typical VN feel and it seemed overly forced with its love triangles. It was a little more fanservice heavy than I would've liked. Still, a fun series to watch for me.

Sword Art Online - I'm sure this is a popular choice by many. While the flaws for SAO were downright obvious, for some reason, I still really enjoyed it. I get the impression that I am just about the only person that loves Asuna's character anymore. I get the impression that A-1 tried to force feed all the "popular" trends in anime with SAO and it failed miserably. I can honestly say I had fun watching it, even if the ALO arc sucked balls.

Tasogare Otome x Amnesia - I feel a little hesitant putting this as a guilty pleasure sense it seems it's liked a lot more than its hated. However, I consider it a guilty pleasure since this series was a little rough around the edges considering how much ecchi it tried to force in our face. A ghost girl with tits that isn't afraid to throw them in a high school boy's face...yeah, that sounds about right. Still, what I did love about Tasogare though was it had REALLY good dramatic tension. I found the whole aspect of Shadow Yuuko to be intense and I was in tears toward Yuuko's back story.

...
My guilty pleasure would be...
1. Sugo Chara (manga) XD The ending sucked balls, the storyline was more suited for girls between 8 and 12 years old, the characters were generic...and o_o I liked it xd It had me entertained a bit xd But that's something...compared with Naruto, Sugo Chara entertained me a lot more xd
2. Mirmo Zibang (anime) Quite ridiculous show, I know xd Probably I liked it because of it xd There was no chapter in which I didn't laugh XD
3. AIURA maybe? Seeing how it's plain ignored xd I saw someone rated it with 6 xd I think it's a nice slice of life...

I second Rosario+Vampire, that was one of my first shows I watched, and while it has been a favourite of mine, I would never watch it with anyone around D:

But in all honesty I would have to say, that goes for any of my guilty pleasure shows I like, as they fall fortuitously into the harem/ecchi/yuri genre.

For Example:
- OniAi
- Strawberry Panic
- Shuffle!

And the list goes on..... ^.^;

Hikaru No Go - From just reading the plot it doesn't seem like a very interesting anime. However I really enjoyed the storyline and the character development was great. The music really added to the atmosphere of the show and made even a simple game of Go really exciting to watch.

Initial D - While I am not really into cars or car racing, for some reason I found myself really enjoying this anime. I especially love the Eurobeat music, perfect for any long drive.

To Heart - The story is pretty plain but it is still one of my favourite animes to this day. It makes me feel relaxed and calm when I watch it.

Sword Art Online
Black Cat
Chrome Shelled Regios

All for the same reason. The storylines are terrible and the main character is over powered from episode one. By all rights I should hate the crappy writing but find them to be thoroughly enjoyable if I don't think too hard.

Well, there's the first season of Uta no Prince-sama. I know the story's average at most, but then there's a lot of bishounens with good voices, so yeah. I'm planning to watch the second season, too. The dance in the concert in the OP/ED is not enough to discourage me. :P
