| Well, if anyone ever wanted to know where the title of the series came from.....I think this is a good indicator. God damn....the rage from Guts. I mean, Griffith was his FRIEND and a guy Guts and Casca looked up to. To sacrifice all of these "treasured" allies and rape Casca in front of Guts.....the rage on Guts face really says it all. hyoga11 said: The rape was a demonstratrion either power and revenge of new born Femto. Guts haven't needed witnessed the whole scene. Yeah, Griffith very clearly resented Guts on some level for leaving the Hawks, having Casca, and being able to fight while he couldn't. The rape scene is him taking all that anger out. Now we know where all that rage Guts has as the Black Swordsman came from. |

| I'm not going to go into detail about how much I despise Griffith, since I don't feel like typing a short novel . But I can't wait for him to get mollywhopped , even if it's the last god damn chapter of Berserk. I'm glad I know from the beginning volumes that Guts will hunt this fucker down until he does. The Skeleton Night busting through the sky and attacking Void was neat. This chapter was titled "Afterglow of the Right Eye". Sweet ass title, but I missed him losing his eye my first time reading. I blame the bullshit chapter pissing me off too much to see straight. But the way he lost it was killer. The way that sequence played out made me cringe, once I noticed it. Very well done. |

| Griffith is a sick bastard..not only did he rape Casca for such a long time which is extremely horrible, but he also did it in front of Guts, pobably due to his anger and vengeful feelings. I could somewhat understand Griffith towards a certain extent, wanting to fulfil his dream, being so severy handicapped and all, but this made me feel disgusted by him. Guts should cut his fucking throat. |
| It's obvious that Griffith was such a jealous mother fucker. He never loved Caska. He raped her because he saw that Guts and caska were happy and he was almost dead and with no glory or money. Envy is really a dangerous feeling. =/ |

| Disgusting... What stood out to me is how sharply this scene contrasts with Guts' and Casca's moment. I wonder if the author didn't purposely show us Guts and Casca having sex purely as a foil to Griffith raping Casca here. Note how Guts was crying as he watched them. :\ The Skull Knight's sudden entry was badass. I think it might've went over my head before: is that vortex Rickert was witnessing at the beginning of this volume (a few chapters back) the contained field where this horror was happening? |
