Yajirobe sure learned to drive a car pretty quickly, considering he was a savage not long ago.

Actually he had a car earlier when he drove Goku to the tower he said he stole it so I assume hes known how to drive for awhile.

Anyway that was a pretty epic end to the fight Goku winning with just 1 arm haha. I wonder what this next arc will be.

Pretty sweet ending, makes me wonder that the egg Piccolo launched at the end before he died, might that be the Piccolo we'll see in DBZ?

Either way lets hope the dragon isn't really dead and that he still can capture the dragonballs to save Krillin!

Yeah, counting DB and DBZ, he's had like, 3 moments. Killing Cymbal, saving Goku (this episode) and
. Anyway, it seems they're completely clueless to King Piccolo firing off an egg into the mountains. This episode brings an end to the King Piccolo saga, next up...

That was a crazy episode, and a perfect ending to the sage. Well...that egg is certainly going to be trouble in the later episodes. Really glad Goku won and I have gained a monstrous amount of respect for Tien since he first appeared in the Tournament saga.

Really cool finish, pretty smart on Goku's part I thought. Thinking about it what put me off was Tien's relative non-role in this battle, considering not long ago he was Goku's equal. Well, I better get used to it I guess.

I wonder if that egg was THE Piccolo or some other creature. And I wonder how they will revive Roshi, Kuririn, and Chaozu.

I like to think of this arc and the next pretty much one solid arc, cause their so relevant to each other though this upcoming arc is so fcking great.

YEAH!!!!!!!! And Goku finally handed Piccolo's ass to him! Finally! Loved it! Aww ...the gang just missed Goku,if they were a little bit earlier.Btw,how does Piccolo know that Shen Long is dead? I mean he is the all powerful wish granting dragon that makes anything come true so if he's so powerful how could he really be dead? I wish someone(well bulma and the gang when they visited) had had some good sense to collect the stones just in case they happened to turn into dragon balls the next year. Also I'm wondering who Piccolo's henchman will be ? I'm also of the impression that it is the Piccolo that is in Dragon ball...oh well on to the next epsiode!!!

Epic! Son Goku finished King Piccolo! He revenged Krillin, Chaozu, Muten Roshi, Shenlong and many more. He saved the world. Btw, Son Goku and Yajirobe became really good friends.

Nice conclusion to a good arc. Piccolo Daimaou getting punched straight through was such a sweet release. I liked Yajirobe coming to the rescue too. The fight was just the best part though. Goku beating him with one hand. And the monkey werewolf form flashing behind him. Good stuff. Honestly though Yamucha et al slowly making their way towards the battle and even Yajirobe's meanderings were just plan annoying.

lol Yamcha and the others didn't even make it to the fight. There was no point in any of their parts. They might as well have been spectators.

what a great way to end a fight, from the screaming to the music it was definitely one of the most memorable finishes to a battle in this series.

Horrible start due to the super sacred water, but a great finish. Even if one handed Kamehameha's are somewhat of an asspull, how cool it was excuses it. Plus it's not like it's unimaginable to do that, it just hasn't really been hinted at before this and came out of nowhere. Seriously, the scene where Piccolo breaks nearly all of Goku's limbs, leading to the "you made one mistake, you left me with one arm!" bit will stay in my memory for a long time. That was glorious. Very impressed with the end of this arc, as it is with this anime Toriyama knows how to make a satisfying conclusion. Only thing that would've made it better would be a better training segment.
The Yajirobe bit of him going back and forth was hilarious to me, even though he and Lunch are probably the simplest supporting characters in the anime(aside from maybe Pilaf & his crew), I don't think it takes away from them. Especially in Yajirobe's case. His simplicity is one of his strong points.
Very interested in where this will go for the presumably final arc.

Through underhanded tactics, King Piccolo was able to inflict rather avoidable serious injuries to mostly each of Goku's limbs. I am not surprised King Piccolo would utilize Goku's care for his friends. I am even surprised he hadn't done so earlier. Regardless, that was a great maneuver by Goku, and an equally fantastic finale to boot. Going through your opponents is, for sure, one way to permanently off them. To sum it up, that was both badass and awesome. Still, that egg is going to cause some problems in the future, that much is apparent. And I have a strong feeling who's inside it.

I honestly think Shenron isn't dead. He is called the eternal dragon for a reason, after all. But if that's the case, how can the gang check if he is alive or simply wiped off? Well, They can always collect the dragon balls again. Speaking of which, hadn't King Piccolo made sure to take the stone turned dragon balls into his possession? Where are they now? Have they been wiped out alongside Eastern City?

Anyways, this was a magnificent saga. From the looks of it, the next saga will most likely tackle the third World Martial Arts tournament. Considering how the first two were sweat worthy, I am looking forward to the third one.

What an incredible finale - Goku finally beat Piccolo, and for good. Well, his child will be an issue in the future, but for now, Goku deserves some rest. An amazing saga overall and one of the greatest ones. Very much looking forward to the next one.

Cheap trick to defeat Goku. On the other hand what can you expect from a miserable monster. Goku was almost done for. Lucky that Goku can use just one hand for that wave. After all that cheating, Piccolo still didn't survived. It was an amazing blow and he teared his chest.

Even before death he did that gross thing. I just hope that newborn monster won't be that much powerful as it was just a part of the real monster when he was weak enough to die. So the adventure is not at it's end. There is more.

The most amazing thing was Yajirobe getting confused to go or not to go. However at least for food he came. Even being that selfish, it was almost impossible to do this much of stuff by Goku at this speed without Yajirobe. But he was lucky that he wasn't hit by Launch's rocket. I thought that rocket would hit Piccolo but somehow it vanished.

I still think that Eternal Dragon is still alive or whatever you say that. I am sure if 1 year passes then those stones will become dragon ball again. It is impossible to kill something that powerful and also who is immortal.

What else can be said? Fucking phenomenal. I also loved Goku in DBZ, but he was never a favorite.. but now he's turning into one of my fav anime characters. I liked before the final blow we see Goku's ape form in the background.

Also, Piccolo seriously had the best facials in this show. His reactions when Goku would kick out of a move or when he was in trouble were great.

Wow, what a conclusion to the most destructive fight up to this point! I figured that at best Goku and Piccolo were more or less evenly matched in power, and maybe they were, but Goku using his last ounces of strength by doing a 1-handed Kamehameha to propel himself and going through Piccolo's body was amazing to watch! I'm not sure if Piccolo forgot about the other arm or thought Goku couldn't do much of anything with just 1 good arm but that was a big mistake. That egg that Piccolo made just before dying, I'm sure it is someone that will be encountered down the road.

About Yajirobe, for a minute I thought he was going to save the day and he kind of did by catching Goku but I thought he was going to attack Piccolo in a very weakened state but that did not materialize. Also, I'm wondering if Shen Long will respawn after a year or what? Maybe Karin has some information on that as I'm assuming that's where Goku will go to recover.

That epic blast into the air by Goku was so fun to watch! This was a great episode to cap off the end of King Piccolo and has a fun prelude for the next arc to come. Also, Yajirobe was a great comic relief as always

Another peak episode finishing off the King Piccolo saga. I finally made it to the iconic frame of Goku flying through Piccolo’s chest. As a whole, it is now one of my favorite arcs except for the rough middle.

I have to say, this is episode must have inspired so much future shonen and I can see it. Goku saying charging up an ultimate punch saying “I’m putting everything into this” reminds me of Deku (lol) and also Piccolo saying how you have to cast aside your emotions to be powerful (reminded me of Sukuna). It probably more inspired moments inside of the Big 3 but I havent went through those properly het
