| I started watching this anime because its popular. And I have to say, after I watched the first episode I wondered why this anime is so popular o__o Okay I get it, people have a different taste and it's just the first episode (Although I watched the second too). But so many people likes those episodes too. Maybe I just belong to those few who doesn't like it. The reason why I don't like this anime is because its gloomy and there's too much killing. But I'm still considering to watch whole anime.. mostly because its popular. |

| I watched this (and read the entire manga) when I was 10 or 11. Now I am rewatching it once again, because I need something to satisfy my post-Geass feels. It's a fun show, but super dark at the same time. Not bad. I think I'd be somewhat similar to Light if I got the DN. Killing serial killers is good. |

| I remember watching a few random episodes of this series on Animax when I was younger. I liked it so much I bought some of the manga volumes. Now that I have some spare time I'm going to watch it completely and in order :) |

| That was surprisingly well paced. The soundtrack sounds neat, though I don't really care for the opening or the ending. Watching it dubbed atm, and Light's VA is really good. I have high hopes for this series! |

| Watching this anime for like fifth or sixth time. Damn, I don't know what it is, but this anime sure has something that makes you want to rewatch the shit out of it. Even though I know what will happen in every episode, I remember almost every line, it's still really fun to watch. For people that are just starting this... get ready. |

| I watched half or so of this anime years ago when it originally aired dubbed and I for some reason never finished it I don't think so I'm going to finally watch it all the way through now lol! It's a pretty good start and I liked the characters and story! I can't wait for L to come in to it (again) lol. Ryuk and Light are interesting together though. You can't blame him for getting rid of criminals lol. |

| Dropped the series before and picking it back up now. It was good, but it's the next episode that hooked me in the past. This series tells me you can be cool at writing on a notebook. Edit: I liked both the OP and ED. |

| Would have been better in my opinion if they showed the montage of Light killing the criminals before he met Ryuk, but that is the only complaint I have so far. 4/5, the show is off to a good start. |

| I've been planning on watching this for a while now, finally got down to it. And man, do I love the first episode. The concept is just amazing! I can see what they'll focus on for this anime and it's getting me excited. I love psychological anime, they make you think about so many things. And Death Note really makes you wonder, right? Would you act any different from Light? Light is great, I think we can all understand why he wants to create a better world. This world is so messed up and cruel, he just wants to better it. Which is a noble cause, but is killing people for that cause the correct way to go about it? So I guess we'll find out what the consequences of his actions will be through out this series. This excites me and I don't think I'll have to be disappointed. And Ryuk seems awesome. Awesomely creepy. |
