Thought this episode was great. The OP and ED are slowly growing on me :P
I would totally be like Yune if I were to go to a foreign country - asking about everything, not knowing the customs and stuff ... lol :P The chibi parts were uber cute (the last umebishi (SP?) part was hilarious XD). New characters next episode, should be fun! :O

Honestly, it's pretty boring. Not as bad as Kamisama no Memochou, but still dropped.

Oh my the preview certainly looks interesting with the whole hiccup and how Camille helps Yune to get rid of it. What caught my attention is some skin of Yune (Oh my my some light fan service) in the spoiler
the segment does look like a accidental walk in but Japanese customs say that if you see a girl naked of theirs you have to marry her so I wonder how Yune will feel towards Claude when this event happens.

Okay I live in Paris so I don't really want to watch a show for tourists. Unless Yune transforms into some mahou shoujo, I'm dropping this.

The French at the beginning of each episode is the only thing that bothers me about this show. This episode felt really heartwarming. :D Might be one of my favorite anime this season.

Yune was shocked at the food, especially the cheese reminds me of when I tried some Limburger cheese and smelled it first, her reaction was the exact reaction as in my experience.
I agree with this except that I did have my experience with that type of food but definitively the reaction that Yune was there.

I had a big reaction when i first went to France and experienced a table full of smelly cheeses. Before then i only had eaten a more normal not very strong or smelly cheese. But the French had such variety and many of them had intense smell and flavor that can seem unpleasant at first.
And the bakery i remember everyone buying those long breads. Is not that i haven't seen one before but the fact that there wasn't a more normal size bread and everyone was buying that long thin breads seemed so fan to me.
I really get Yune's feelings.

And as about Yuna. Well one again Rena expresses my feelings.

Damn where can i get one? I need one to help me around the house and bring cuteness in my every day life. They should sell clones of her in every shop.

Beautiful heartwarming episode. It's like Victorian Romance all over again. Just better.

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.

Yune is just too cute~ The breakfast & dinner scene were very heart warming. I just can't hate Yune for being a cutie!!!

I remember the first time I eat cheese & my reaction was just like Yune's~

I like how it shows differences between Japan and Europe.
Paris exploring was nice too.
Very enjoyable show, reminds me of Usagi Drop though the age difference is smaller here.

Yune is not like your average young girl, dam she's so mature and understanding... which is very rare at such a young age. I like how Claude reacted to the pickled plum. I want to take this opportunity to state that I like both cheese and coffee. Coffee = the bitter the better!

This is ridiculous. Yune is cute, chipper, and curious towards every single little thing. She's less of a character and more of a small animal, reacting to everything with a surprised or startled jolt. Hell, she even has a fang, what gives?

I'm having mixed feelings with this show. On one hand, I absolute love the OST, the tone of the show, and the city they're in. On the other hand, everything else seems centered around Yune and Claude. While that's all fine on paper, it feels way too coordinated. This feeling is hard to describe, but it's making me question why I liked Aria, which was also directed by Junichi Sato. Perhaps here it spends too much time with the characters and not enough time with its world. The character gimmicks and their culture shocks are too much. I want to see more of Paris. I want to see the town during different times of the day, under different weather conditions, or through different eyes. This might improve over the course of the series, as this is merely the introduction.

I really do want to like this show, as it feels like everything I could ever want from a slice of life. For now though, it feels like if I don't like this show, I'm a heartless bastard or something. That might be why the show feels off, but again, it makes me wonder why I like Aria so much. Anyways, I'll keep my skepticism in check and continue enjoying a quaint and peaceful Paris.
