| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well, the characters are a little odd, especially the dude with the blond hair shaped like a giant horn. Victorique does do some weird things, such as randomly rolling around on the floor (though it is a little funny). Lol at her pipe, reminds me of Sherlock Holmes. I do like the atmosphere to this show, and you can clearly see how this show is mystery oriented. The music does a good job of reflecting the mystery atmosphere. I am reminded a little bit of Detective Conan, though I like how Gosick is turning out much more. Not too much happens this episode, but I'm looking forward to seeing how everything is resolved (or continued) next week. OP theme: ED theme: Screenshots: |

It had a good atmosphere for Britain and Victorique is completely adorable. The show isn't shy to show blood so that's a plus. For some reason, I got a Baccano vibe from it, though that could just be the setting being familiar (though it's not America) Kazuya himself is kinda bland, but his interactions with Victorique make the show. I can see some people finding it boring though. |

| Yay! It's finally here. I really enjoyed the first episode, it's awesome. Hope next episode will be good as this one. And the ED song is really nice. I like it. |

| A lot of Heidi meets Kuroshitsuji cliché and a loli with the voice of Mina Tepes did the choice for me. There was absolutely nothing interesting in this first episode. Dropped. |

| I've found Jonny Bravo's anime reincarnation. Also I'm surprised Kujo didn't cry and say "AN ELEVATOR!!" The cover didn't entirely interest me but I started watching it and I suppose I'm interested. |

| The first ep was pretty good, I hadn't expected anything less from it - I guess that it will turn out to be an enjoyable series. Let's hope so. Oh, and the ed song is damn good. |

| I've been looking forward to this since it was announced and I can't say I have much to complain about. The mystery was kinda obvious and I'd prefer not all side-characters are just simple and quirky, but I like the setting and love ghost stories so I'm pretty much bound to enjoy this. Also, the opening blew my mind. I think I'll go watch it one more time. |

| I've read most of the novels right now and love them, so when i found out about the anime i was really excited. Watched first episode and love victorique even more now! ending and opening are quite nice as well. 5/5! |

Like Beauty and the Beast's library, Fable 3's Reliquary, or even the school library in Kami Nomi for Shiori's arc. All in all, I loved this episode. Only major complaint: The so-called mystery kind of sucked. I knew right away it was the maid. Wasn't that just too obvious? Seems like this is only the tip of the iceberg for said mystery, though, so hopefully it'll get better. I wonder, is the whole show going to focus on this one mystery, or a series of mysteries like Ghost Hunt and Shinrei Tantei Yakumo? Sounds cool either way. |

| I remember reading "Sherlock Holmes" in the synopsis and was kind of interested but that “case” was just ridiculously executed. The hair and the male lead didn’t help either. Still, some potential is there and might provide something interesting in the future… |

| A little bit boring but decently entertaining with a good premise, I guess. Kazuya and Victorique both have rather bland personalities but together, they play off each other well. As a side note: I love the art nouveau style of the OP. |
| Am I the only one that wanted Roxanne by the Police the be playing during the intro? I think the reason my life will never be like a shounen anime is because, during the part where he's in the library and finds the hair... I would have brushed the hair off, looked up, shrugged, and gone about my business. Who the fuck would really run through all those stairs just to see where a hair came from? |

Also, the murder mystery was a pile of derp. Another thing image I couldn't get out of my head was her pipe blowing bubbles every time she pulled it out. That would probably push the moe factor over the edge, but I still want it. |
| It was kind of obvious that the fortune teller was killed by the second shot. Also why would people be surprised by someone with black hair and dark eyes it might be 1924 where talking about but there should have been people around with those features in Europe. Nothing was mentioned about his Japanese appearance would should be have been surprising during those days. When i was reading the Synopsis i was thinking that the country they where speaking about was Liechtenstein but it's not in the right location to be Liechtenstein. It's close tho. |

XD Kazuya and Victorique really resembles Ryuuji and Taiga's personalities and interactions.. even the first impressions we got from the first episode are strangely parallel: Ryuuji being feared for his eyes while Kazuya being known as the dark reaper; Taiga and Victorique being described to be like a doll by the main protagonist, but in reality bad mouths people and orders them around.. deja vu?? good first episode, though the crime was easy to solve hope the future ones won't be so obvious.. the highlight for me was definitely the unexpected reincarnations of my favorite Toradora pair.. ^_^ |

Nice series! I like it enough for a 8~9/10. Victorique is really adorable although she has a serious voice just like Mina Tepes did, she non the less has the special cute feature when she blushes. As for her brother, he must have the wildest hair style so far this season. Kujou although is the fright type, seems not to back down with Victorique, going as far confronting her brother in the police station. The teacher Cecile looks glass appealing but is going to have a minor role less there will be a arc about her.As for the mysteries, just like Umineko all over except perhaps less gruesome, it still delivers the atmosphere during the dog ripping the bunnies and that person being shot bloody down. Despite all that, the year 1924 and scenery is great but particularly the uniforms. Also loved Victorique's hair, yawning and rolling around as well as that snowflake sequence regarding her eye. BTW that's lots of luggage, damn O_O Anyways I like this and will follow it mainly because mysteries are interesting and Victorique is #1 Lolita so far this season for me. |

| Well this first ep was pretty boring for me. Spoiled tsuntsun typical loli that is pretend-smart and the main guy is her pet. Nothing particularly interesting apart from the overly good ED. |

| The way Victorique looks reminds me of Golden Darkness. If Grevil's hair could act like a drill just like Flameheart's could, that would be way awesome. Looking forward to continuing this series. |

| Too soon to really make a judgement, but it looks like it has potential. Victorique is adorable, though I'm kind of wondering why she was in the tower for like ever and then just randomly was allowed to leave? Maybe it was explained and I just missed it or something. Mr. Hair is beyond obnoxious omg can he get shot in the eye next? I can't stand yelly, showy, overtly annoying anime characters like this. Why must most shows have one????? I don't get the appeal. OP was eh, but it might grow on me after a few episodes. ED I liked very much. AND OH GOODNESS THE ART WAS SO PRETTY <3 <3 <3 I will keep watching this show just to see the prettiness of it. |

At first i was wondering about the kuroshitsuki but the only piece of evidence is that she is enlisted to help solve crimes, and apparently the kid is going to be her buttler of sorts. This show is definitely goSICK. I am impressed actually by this first episode. Besides the unexplained shinigami nickname, or was it explained, and the willingness to get on the boat not bad. Hope the fortune telling thing turns out alright. |
| This is the show that I've waited and I must say I wasn't disappointed even if it's the 1st episode. Grevil's hair could pierce the heaven.I loved the art nouveau in the OP and the ED song was nice. Yuuki Aoi fits the role perfect. I agree that the crime was easy to solve and the saying ''the butler did it'' it's true even if it was the maid now, but that's only one part of the case solved, Victorique still needs to find out the motive. |
