| Ye, Kazuya shouldn't really get ahead of himself and think confessing to Chizuru would be easy at all. One of his biggest obstacles is Ruka. Mami is also there but for a different reason. But hey, at least he finally got the courage to make his move so that's some progress, I guess? This was long overdue though. |

| The trip from hell continues.. thankfully this mess ends next week lol, but it’s not gonna be before we get some major fireworks you can tell. Mami putting on a masterclass in emotional manipulation and gaslighting, thing is it’s actually going to have the opposite effect and bring Chizuru and Kazuya closer most likely. “I’m starting to think you’re a nasty girl” I KNOW that ain’t who I think it is calling ANYONE nasty lmao. The fact that she actually got Chizuru contemplating whether she was wrong for taking the ring is insane too. If only Chizuru knew the shit mami was doing behind the scenes here. Somehow she got Chizuru feeling bad for taking the ring and managed to paint Kazuya as the aggressor who’s keeping Chizuru hostage. You could actually see Mami was so close to dropping the nice girl facade all together and just showing her true self there because she’s desperate to break this off now. Generational manipulator. Now Chizuru’s wondering if Kazuya still has a thing for Mami and what her role in all of this should be. It’s funny that it took until this episode for them to even have a talk about why tf Mami is even there lmao. The way Nagomi talks about Chizuru like an angel and brags on her grandson pulling her is sooo cute. She’s genuinely very proud of Kazuya and wants the best for him even though he’s a loser. I swear if Mami does something it might make Nagomi have a heart attack :/ Finale is gonna be some bs I already know lol. |

| Well, a morning on vacation certainly doesn't bode well for Kazuya, having the beauties all around him... Day 2 of the Kinoshita family vacation at the pool resort, and Kazuya just continues to fumble getting around Mizuhara playing pretend rental girlfriend at that. As if that's not enough, Mami knowing the secret of the family heirloom ring, to then do the gaslighting by interrogating Mizuhara with her "innocent" face, and then smoothing things out when Granny Nagomi comes around the corner, Mami's a real snively fox that's her usual taking of time to see how things go to curry favour to her end. Ruka acting like a kid is just her usual, but Kazuya not understanding Mizuhara and the drama she just went through with Mami until said rental girlfriend opened the topic to him, and for as much as they speculate Mami's last-minute "addition" to the drama that "things may have changed", it's just an endless spiral if either one chooses to continue the lie and taking it down, or let the lie out and destroy all the relationship built thus far. As for why Granny Nagomi dragged her grandson out for a pep talk, it's the family issues that she has and keeps near and dear to her heart, and wanting Kazuya to be the same as his parents with Mizuhara. YELP, Granny Nagomi may've just sent a ticking timebomb within her own grandson, as much as the two in question not knowing what to do next. The finale for Part 1 next week...and the cucking just can't come soon enough... | I really hope Sumi and Yaemori are enjoying there time away from the show cause I pray they never make it back in they don't deserve the trauma. Mami once again being the best character managing to try her hardest to push the show forward, really feels like they just grabbed someone watching and shoved their soul into Mami cause she just seems like all of us fed up with everyone in this anime. |
| Mami is super toxic. I mean, you broke up with him — it’s not your problem what he does with his life! And I can’t stand Ruka either. She’s so annoying, always trying to control the ML’s life. On top of that, she keeps forcing her feelings on him, as if insisting would make him reciprocate. |

| I can never not laugh when watching this anime. The cliffhanger today was crazy. I know it'll probably end up being nothing, but I am really excited for what is to come. I am anime only, so please don't spoil it in the thread!! I do feel that Mami has to have some legit motivation for doing all of this, but geez, what could it be? I want to think she at least has a singular positive quality about her, but she might just be the most evil bad guy in any romance anime I have ever seen. Really excited for next week as someone that actually likes this show hahaha. |

All Kazuya has to say in case Mami rat them out is something like "ooh yeah we meet through the rental girlfriend thing but we got love at first sight, she left the job immediately and we became a couple, she was doing that job to support her studies to not bother her grandma and I rented her because I was sad over Mami dumping me", is not that hard really. If Mami shows Chizuru's rental girlfriend profile they could say that it is still there but it doesn't mean anything, Kazuya's grandma is dumb and blind as fuck so she would believe anything Chizuru says. Mami and Ruka are fucking trash, but yeah, Kazuya's grandma is right there too, so fucking annoying. |

| Ahh RaG hater tears, my favorite beverage, I gotta say I’ve come around on it, it used to aggravate me but now I thrive off the hate, I think that’s the best way to look at it. That aside, we’ve gone full soap opera now (not like we haven’t been for a while lol) with the new developments in this episode. I can’t deny the drama Mami creates is entertaining, but man is she such a rat, she’s got nothing better to do than stick her nose where it doesn’t belong and then tweet to nobody about it, and she’s really done it now with Nagomi overhearing a little too much of what was said between Mami and Mizuhara in the bathroom, I’m sad we just have one more episode of this cour but it’s all about to come to a head in the next one, I feel like it’s not gonna end in a satisfying place so it’s gonna hurt even more waiting for the next cour/season lol. And there was also the moment between Nagomi and Kazuya, and wow those were some hard hitting words from grandma to our boy, I think that might’ve been the most Kazuya ever wanted to blurt out the truth, like damn she’s over here thanking Kazuya for making such important moments happen in her life, but it’s all from a big lie. Well I’d like to think even if the relationship Kazuya’s family sees is a lie, the moments they’ve had are true, real emotions were felt, so to chalk it up as simply a lie is wrong imo. And I may be the only one rooting for Kazuya, but I do hope he can figure something out, he’s been through too much with Mizuhara to let things end this way. |

| The infamous chapter is definitely episode 1 of the next cour I can't wait to see it getting review bombed that'll be so funny. Anyways, the episode starts, and Kazuya's already glazing Chizuru. This time it's about...how she looks as good as she did last night. Peak writing. He also looks at Ruka and says "Good morning more like wood morning" which I thought was really funny. This episode has a lot of good lines, another one I like is "No! Are you gonna drag this out, too?" (me after every Rent a Girlfriend episode. (i promise I like this show)). So him and Chizuru go to eat, and Chizuru goes to the bathroom. She's confronted by Mami in there, and Mami asks if Chizuru likes him, which she denies because of course she does. Mami also is a bit confusing about this, as she's mad over a misunderstanding despite apparently listening in on them the entire time last episode, but I digress. Kazuya Grandma comes in and asks what they're talkin bout, to which Mami covers up for some reason. Maybe it's gonna be revealed why in the next episode, maybe not. While all this is happening, Kazuya is struggling to send a fairly simple request through message. Never change, Kazuya. The rest of the episode is kinda just a buncha moping around. Chizuru is walking alone like, "D-Does...does Kazuya still like Mami-san?" Like bitch the flashbacks you're having are from SEASON ONE, EPISODE 4 I don't think Kazuya feels that way anymore gang. Despite all my complaints, the scene with Kazuya Grandma and Kazuya was really well done it was very sweet. Pretty mediocre episode, went by really fast. Next week marks the end of this cour!!! |
