More and more character/story revelations. Kubura turns out to have a much more complicated story than expected, including how she became a vampire. Nazuna has her own origin story this episode turned out to be an important one for both characters. |

Doesn’t take a genius to realize how Nazuna would be related to Haru in the end. But the way all of this comes full circle in the end was my favourite part of the backstory while reading this, and is still, while watching this. You finally realize why Kabura cares so much for Nazuna or why Nazuna couldn’t even recall her human past… I mean you ought to have one to look back at, right? Except Nazuna NEVER had one. Haru marrying a human guy.. carrying a baby, and telling this to Kabura face to face is like telling your current boyfriend you can’t be with him anymore because you wanna return to your ex who knocked you up. You have to feel for Kabura when she said she gets agitated every time she sees Nazuna’s face.. I mean think how it must have felt when you’re told to look after the kid of a person you used to love. But hey, there ain’t no bad blood between Kabura and Nazuna.. they genuinely have a mother-daughter relationship. Wonderful backstory. This adaptation really rarely misses. Also yeah, all of this has paved a path to a lot of stuff which will come going forward. Like Nazuna being a vamp by birth, and the stuff related to Haru. P.S. Shoutout to the guy who was serving beers btw. It takes something to keep calm, and that too after three times xD P.P.S. They again played Losstime, and that was chef's kiss. Also you name Anko and she appears. Can't wait for the next arc |

Oh man, what is this anime?! What kind of greatness is this?! I'm not joking when I say this season is exploding with pure wow! WOW! I had a hunch that season two would be something amazing, but I never expected it to be top-tier like this! Wooooow!! Season one was a visual and audio treat, but honestly, it lacked story, character development, or excitement. But this season? It keeps that visual pleasure and adds story, adds character building, and hands you the excitement on a silver platter — all because Anko appeared! Anko’s appearance flipped the entire show upside down in just the best way possible! And the ending of the episode — she only showed up for ten seconds — but I’m willing to bet it got every fan of this series extremely hyped for the next episode! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I never imagined even 1% that I’d be praising this series like this. I seriously used to think watching season two would be a waste of time… but WOW. Just wow. I want to comment more on the episode, but seriously, I’m speechless. Instead, I’ve gathered a bunch of frames from the episode for you! Be careful before opening the spoiler tag — and once again, I repeat: fans of this anime are lucky, lucky, lucky! Every single frame is a wallpaper, a profile pic, a visual masterpiece. And I’ll finish by dropping the best OST in the show — once that music hits, you know the Night Sky is about to unfold! 10/10 doesn’t even do this episode justice. See you all next week — goodbye! Maybe I'm being too paranoid and cautious but I still can't believe Nazuna and her mother are two different person. Her mother said she's pregnant but we never see her belly expand, never see her husband, never see giving birth scene, never see when Nazuna in baby stage. Doesn't this scream suspicious? It's almost like her mother lose a memory and becomes her own daughter. |

A delicious entree of backstory. Huru is a mom vamp, I was wondering if that was possible in this world. Why did Haru disappear? Is she still alive? Did the pregnancy do something to her? Was Nazyna in a coma for years after birth, or did the hybrid vampire have some sort of accelerated growth. 'Regular' vampires here are (somewhat) stuck at the physical appearance age they turned (but maybe age more if they do not drink blood, like that teacher the Anko killed?) So what has fixed Nazuna's apparent age? Did she maybe age to her mother's apparent age? Was she not fed blood until she woke up? How screwed up is Nazuna never having had a childhood and cannot remember her formative years with Kabura? She seems to be reasonably well adjusted even if a bit chaotic to me. Poor Kabura is conflicted six ways to Sunday about Nazuna, but her nurse's uniform fetish overcomes all. "A guy who makes a girl wait is bad news." I don't know about that, but he ain't gonna get any tonight. Nazuna has in common with KO that neither have ever fallen in love. Season is a 10 now. |

Ok, it heavily implies Kabura knows who Anko is, or at least about how she's relevant. Probably going to link up with the hints in the opening. |

Kabura turned to be the best character so far. Tbh don't like this "born as a vampire" plot. Like @phantomfandom no body, no visual, no nothing outside the "I'm pregnant" line and then a letter asking to take care of her daughter. But then, Kagura arrives at the apartment after an undetermined time when she received the letter and there finds a fully grown Nazuna that suppossedly has never fed nor awoken, 100% awake but in the stage of an infant in terms of mental development. I can't accept Haru giving birth to an adult, the logistics just don't work. Can't neither accept that without waking up nor feeding, Nazuna developed normally. I can accept she magically awakening when Kabura arrives because plot reasons, but that's all. My bet is that Nazuna was born dead, the husband did something he shouldn't and Haru wiped her mind. |

More backstory about Kabura. I thought her backstory was gonna end last episode but no, it just kept building and building. Her backstory was so good and was a really complicated one as well but it all made sense in the end. Looks like Anko is back again, am I excited? no not really but she will play a major role so thats fine with me. 5/5 |

Kabura's facial expressions when she sees Nazuna for the first time... oof. A slightly different kind of the "unrequited love" story. The pieces are familiar, but some of them hit harder. |

Haru was Nazuna's mother all along. Oh well. I don't understand why she suddenly had a kid with a human. Did she not turn him into a vampire? If not, why? Why did she suddenly leave? Was she being hunted by Anko? Well, Anko probably wasn't even born when this happened. Probably in the 80s. So was it a different vampire hunter? So many questions. But I guess they'll be revealed eventually. Kabura probably knows a lot more than she said. Nazuna was a human-vampire hybrid?! That's fucking crazy. Ig that kinda makes her special? Ig it makes slightly more sense why she gets embarassed hearing about love now. She never felt it before. That makes her similar to Ko then. What's even crazier is that Kabura was Nazuna's foster mom basically. Raising your lover's child who isn't yours must be hell for anyone. What I don't get is was Nazuna born with a full-grown body?! Oh her poor mother. I can see why she abandoned her now. Jokes aside I guess she just grew up rapidly because of being a hybrid or some shit. This vampire business makes no logical sense anyway. I do wonder why Kabura questioned if her memories are real tho. Ig the blood isn't really that reliable. I wonder if there's more to this. This was another amazing episode. It just keeps getting better and better. Anko was too late to get weapons against Kabura. After all these reveals, I wonder what connection she has with Nazuna if she has one at all. The weekly wait is killing me. |

Kabura's whole life is just one big string of depression, she was essentially trapped in a cage only to be put into another one when becoming a vampire. Like she started as a weak girl trapped with horrible friends with her only comfort being Haru. Then when she gets offered a freedom with Haru she just ends up leaving her and then giving her Nazuna. Its really sad so it makes sense why Kabura clings to Nazuna. I'd assume Anko or some other vampire hunter killed Haru and the father of Nazuna. idk the timelines very messy because of how vampires don't really age. Also like I seriously doubt Nazuna came out like that at birth. So I guess she remained unconscious gradually growing and then eventually stopped aging and woke up with a child's mind. Kabura and Anko are definitely the most interesting characters right now. |

Am I crazy for thinking this is the best 2 episode stretch in this series so far? I thought last episode was the best Yofukashi no Uta ep, but this probably has it beat. Imagine how good this would be if it was just lesbian vampires instead of Kou lol. Kabura instantly became the best character in this series and Ito Shizuka did such a phenomenal job bringing the gambit of emotions that being reunited with Nazuna must’ve created to life. I just wanna give her the biggest hug “Take care of our daughter” You just have to think, how many people would really be able to do what Kabura did? You fall head over heels for someone, literally give your life/soul to them basically by becoming a vampire and then they get pregnant, leave and expect you to raise the kid 😭 that is nothing but the purest form of love from Kabura. I cannot imagine the sheer torture she must have felt having to look at Nazuna who is a spitting image of her mom, everyday. That just shows how truly selfless Kabura is and how much she loved Haru. It also shows how much Haru trusted Kabura that she’d leave what’s most precious to her in her care. I wonder why she had to go away though. Surely it had to be something very serious to make her suddenly up and leave. On the other hand, I’m so hurt. I wanted Kabura and Haru to be happy together so bad. You gotta remember, when Haru left Kabura, she still didn’t have full control over her abilities or know how to hunt properly. She’s almost like a scared little girl herself and you hear that come through in her lines when Kou confronts her. “Did I do a good job?” 😢 the longing and regret in her voice just had me on the verge of tears. Even though she lost the memories, the soul remembers. Not her having Nazuna cosplay as her mom and sit in her lap tho lmaoo. I love that moment so much because it’s the first time we really see the real Kabura, she lets her tough guy act go and just embraces this weird mix of longing for Haru that Nazuna elicits as well as her maternal instincts. Oh shit Anko’s back! Things are going to really interesting. I don’t think anko’s a bad person at all. Just had an awful experience with her first vampire encounter and now hunts them. |

We got some interesting vampire lore from Kabura and Haru's backstory this episode, they can apparently get pregnant and natural-born vampires age rapidly after birth. There's still a lot we don't know, but the intrigue keeps building. I don't imagine the others would've let Nazuna's human father off the hook with how Kou was treated, so I'm guessing he's long dead too. |

The continued dive into Kabura's backstory was still as fascinating as ever. It did confirm a few things which are important. Firstly, female vampire can still get pregnant and secondly, Haru is Nazuna's mother. Considering how Kabura did have some form of romantic feelings for Haru, hearing this news was a double whammy to her. Not only that, but Haru entrusted Kabura to look after Nazuna when she was gone, which does explain how Kabura, despite her tough and emotionless exterior at times, cares a lot for Nazuna. Also doing up Nazuna's hairstyle to be the same as Haru's was pretty cute, too. It was also a good thing that Nazuna and Kou mentioned about Anko to Kabura, as that shady detective did find Kabura's room, but by then, it had been cleared already. Kabura stuck to her word that she would clear everything and that definitely proved to be a really smart move. This second season continues to satisfy me with the story and character development. Here's hoping the series keeps this form up for the rest of the season. =) |

Such a beautiful and bittersweet episode.Kabura never got to be with Haru and had to take care of Nazuna as well but she did her best raising Nazuna. Nazuna was taking things so easy even after hearing about her shocking past lol And none of them seemed to be interested in knowing what happened to Nazuna's mom and dad Anko was so quick to find the whereabouts of Kabura right after Ko's warning.. luckily Kabura got away just at the right time. So Kohakabe is next on her list. |

Amazing ep Bro getting soaked 3 times was funny asf. Nah, throwing the news that your pregnant with a random was definitely surprising. Kabura has been through so much, but at the end, she can never escape the the one that she loves, nor the child, as she is now the step-mom of Nazuna. I'm assuming Haru died. Nazuna' s backstory was greatly written and beautifully tied together with Kabura. In a sense, we can be happy that Kabura has found closure, exposing her deepest secret to her step-daughter, and eventually getting closer to her and understanding her better. Anko crazy azz won't stop till every vampire is on a stake, it seems. Considering the confusing adaptation, it seems that this ep adapted ch 63-65. 10/10 |

Well, I missed two weeks of this episode. JEEEZ. Not gonna lie dog, this is some slow burner activite for this episode. And I gotta say. With the way things are being handled. It does make me question the direction of this build up. Like the past of nazuna needs to explored to understand the threat that is impending on them through the gise of the detective. Understandably, there is 6-12 other shows I am watching, and im subconsiously comparing the amount of fun I would have watching them, instead of this build up. But the tension is building, and its there with the recent episode (episode 5) have that last bit of tension mixed in. To bad though. It was in effective. Because WHO THE FUCK IS KOHAKOBE? the silent long sleeve girl that spoke a total of roughly 24 lines? come on. I have zero attachment to that character. So then she's gonna get got just to build some sort of motivation for our main characters to fight the detective? sigh. It unforutnatly loosing me... in the surprise section. But Its still interesting, man 2nd season will feel so underwelming then 3rd season wont even have a chance of coming out ;-;. Unfortunate release timing i guess. RATING TIME. Plot: 7/10 felt generic? it was supposed build old relationships? well that's what I though prior to episode 3. But it seems like just maintaining the current relationship. leading me come to the "oh, so it gonna do this and then that" and the show did in fact do this and then that Background: 9/10 completely out of left field, I honestly feel bad for Honda. This was the only thing that had me seating through this show. The characters starts, and end goal? it seems like the infinite life gimmick falls apart when 0 goals and ambitions are attached to it. Makes me think of another gay vampire. its Marceline. Theme: 7/10 I had some ounce of idea what the theme might be... reconnecting memory? the blood, the resembles between mother and daughter. the crush, and crushed yeah know all types of connection were made again. and then destroyed OST: 10/10 beep boop goes hard Overall: 8/10 I loved it, the flashback was introduced really well. It didn't feel jarring, out of place or even unnecessary in fact. It just felt as though we were Honda revisiting her memories. (or watching her memories through her perspective) which she later claims might even be fake. Kinda sad shes even forgotten the memories but not her GAY ASS EMOTIONS towards her crush. god I love yuri. ANYWAY. BYEEEEE |

Another big Kabura lore dump, and this time we found out what Nazuna truly is, maybe lol, I feel like there are still pieces of the puzzle missing because there were some important things left out, like where did Haru and her husband go? Why did Haru drop out of nowhere that she’s getting married and having a kid? The triple spit take was hilarious and I want Kabura to spit on me too, but I wanna know what really happened lol. Maybe we’ll get those answers later but for now we did get some juicy stuff, like man no wonder Kabura has that depression rizz, she might be the most tortured soul of all the vampires. Besides the nights drinking with Haru, it didn’t even look like Kabura got to really enjoy her time being a vampire, Haru just disappears one day and leaves a note saying take care of my kid that I had with someone else, and the kid happens to look exactly like me so good luck not wanting to end it all lol. Like damn I feel so bad for Kabura, but there was at least one good thing that came out of it, and it’s that Kabura got to be a mom for Nazuna and still has some of those motherly feelings even today, of course that’s mixed with irritation and apparently lust but still pretty wholesome, but man that’s gotta be weird feeling all of those feelings for your daughter that looks like your first love lol. And there’s Anko at the very end, she was hype with that entrance but she was too late to get Kabura’s past items, which was a relief because ngl I kinda felt a death flag for Kabura here, but Anko’s got a list and checking it twice, can’t let your guard down around her yet. And speaking of Anko, there’s no doubt Kabura might know something about her, and with Kou talking about what made her hate vampires to the point of wanting to kill them, I think we’re due for some Anko backstory soon, I can’t wait because I’m thirsty for Anko content lol. |

I mean, I definitely loved the episode, but I'm not sure I understood everything that was said. First of all, how was Nazuna born with the body of an adult but the mind of an infant? And secondly, how and why did Haru suddenly give birth and then immediately die? That said, I'm really glad we got the backstories of both Nazuna and Kabura, they were honestly so emotional and adorable. Still, there were a few details that felt a bit odd, so I hope they go into more detail about them later on. Also, I’m really glad Ko and Nazuna made it in time to warn Kabura about Anko, it gave Kabura the chance to erase all her treasured items so Anko couldn’t use them against her. Still, I’m kinda curious about where Kabura hid everything. Hopefully, Anko never finds them. |

Ohh it was Nazunas mom! I feel like an idiot now.. also weird thing to say, but Haru had a more interesting personality than Nazuna imo. Kabura got ultra cucked. I wonder why Haru left.. is she even still alive? Did she die from giving birth? I mean Nazuna did grow up immediately.. The detective gets glazed so much in the OP, I just like her even if she technically is a villain from the protags POV |

Great ep in many ways. It opens up a lot of questions about vampire biology, but i think i have a good theory. Im guessing that a father is needed to start the pregnancy, but his actual DNA is rejected because human dna is incompatible with vampires. From the moment a vampire is created, they will keep their current form and will always regenerate back to it if they're injured / "modified" in some way. In Nazuna's case, her "form" is identical to Haru because she only carries Haru's genes. i have two guesses about how it works: 1. she exited the womb as a baby and then immediately grew via regeneration. or 2. she started regenerating from the moment she was concieved, growing large inside Haru and exploding, killing her in the process (unlikely) |

We finally learned the truth 🫢 Nazuna was born half vampire half human already 18:00 Kabura forcing them into a patient and nurse attire 🤣🤣🤣 but Kabura’s weird self is finally coming out 🤣👌🏻 so cute The detective at the end 🫢 Kabura works fast I love that ED theme. My 3rd and last Summer 2025 anime song I like. I only learned the lyrics to the chorus and last part tho, ain’t no way I’m learning that middle rap part 🤣 just sounds like mumbling and way too difficult and fast. But at least I get to sing along a bit for the rest of the season! 🙌🏻 Creepy Nuts! |

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea). |

I never thought that call of the night would become this much interesting first of all backstories of the characters and the lore is very interesting i really love this backstory arc feels a little bit like a whole different anime from the night cozy vibes that i got from the first season! |

So Haru mentions she is pregnant, I can understand an offspring not meddling in the business of the vampire that turned them, but did Kabura ever see Haru pregnant? And by that I mean Haru's belly growing. Because, it seems to either be a huge time jump with Nazuna being a baby and growing into an adult, why didn't Kabura see Haru in this meantime? Or, from Haru's quote saying that their resemblance is uncanny, was Nazuna born that side already? And how is that even possible? I'm sure there were LN manga theories that Nazuna could have been a Haru with her memories wiped clean (why? idk, but makes more sense than a woman size "baby" coming out from another normal size woman), I wonder if we will get to see Haru's body (if she is dead) or if she will come back and be side by side with her "daughter" (if she is alive) to make sure what is happening here. |

absolutely adore the way kabura first seeing nazuna was done here. the electricity was a bit on the nose, but every damn shot inside that moonlit room is fucking amazing. ...i wanted to check how that scene was done in the manga and i ended up accidentally reading the entire back half of the 7th volume as a result. god i love this series so much |

Finally some key questions answered for Nazuna, she never fell in love and was born a vampire from the union of her vampire mother and an human, it's strange how she was born with an adult body but the mind of a toddler |

Kabura and Nazuna's backstory answers a lot of questions, and it is paving the road forward... I don't think it was shocking at all that Haru was Nazuna's mother, but what I did find interesting was Kabura's dynamic with the two of them. Kabura was very strong to not kill Nazuna out of rage, and to raise her as well... it is totally understandable why she would be a bit annoyed looking at Nazuna's face. The big bombshell was that Nazuna was a vampire at birth, so her human past cannot be used against her, which is a fine defense against Anko. So far, very impressed at the character moments in this season, and it has delivered in the ways that Season 1 did not so far, which is really expanding on the characters and their past and motivations. |
