All those colas LOL

Jokes aside, it was nice to see this anime embrace its vending machine gimmicks. After that fight, the party needed a break especially Lammis. Boxxo doing whatever he can to help but I find his role in this episode to be hilarious. Same with Hulemy.

To prevent the will of the king of the underworld, the adventurer group quickly returned to each layer. They encountered many refugees and a village that had been transformed due to attacks by evil creatures. Finally, there was an experiment with Coca-Cola and Mentos, which they often conducted. Is this the first time Boxxo has released a karaage edition? Boxxo has mastered the speaking program, lol.

Boxxo with ice cubes and ice spear is overpower. Hulemy, what is that romantic comedy about vending machines?!

Ice cream is selling like hotcakes; Boxxo is really smart in managing sales since they are also entering the summer season. It seems they are hesitant about Suori's idea.

With Clearflow Lake being at the center of tragedy against the monsters, it's clear that recovery work is needed to be done, though looking at the outset of a rather hopeless situation, the adventurers still got it to protect the stratum while Boxxo and Lammis assists wherever they can and try not to tire themselves out. The surprise of Boxxo trying to talk gets to the ears of both Lammis and Hulemy through piecing its pre-recorded syllables, it's an arduous process, but the vending machine slowly gets it alright.

The resistance of the monsters, and the jealousy between both Lammis and Hulemy aside in the vending machine trying to pronounce both their names in syllables, Boxxo uses his Form Change to good effect, though it costs quite a lot if much energy is used that depletes his coins fast (and thereby earning Lammis's ire in the process). Still, the concern lies with the hole in the wall, and the Hunters' Association is in dire straits if they depend on Boxxo too much.

What will Suori bring to help be the game changer against the monsters?

Really cool to see that now Boxxo can somewhat talk to Lammis and everyone. Lammis is adorable when she was telling Boxxo off.

First episode was so-so but this 2nd one had a lot of what I love about this anime: Hakko's creativity to solve problems using his abilities. Up from 7/10 to 9/10

Director Bear said that the Hunters Association's reserves are 60 gold coins and Suori was like:
"Get those measly pennies out of here! I'll show what true wealth looks like!"
I'm expecting her to start force-feeding Boxxo a never ending stream of gold coins at the beginning of next episode!

It was so cool to see Boxxo talk for the first time and lol, Boxxo and Lammis / Hulemy have more chemistry than most couple on this genre.

P2W player versus F2P players.

The entire town's already ripped to shreds. Damn, Skeleton Guy works fast. Luckily, named characters are immune to fodder monsters. Good to see that they haven't forgotten Boxxo's powers cost money, as well. Very cute moments with Lammis and Hulemy, thanks to Boxxo stepping up his sentence mixing game. I'm hoping for a line that goes as hard as "Atama zannen" from last season.

Yeah, this felt like an improved episode. When Lammis started swinging that alligator creature around as a weapon I nearly died laughing. Personally, best scene in it. But they better fix that hole before something much bigger shows up.

Hakko I can finally talk! (sorta) this is the type of episode that makes this series unique. You don’t have an OP mc who can just take out the fiends. Hakko has to work with his allies, strategise and maximise the efficiency of his transformation. That should be much easier now that he can kinda talk to people, but there’s still the caveat of needing money to power his abilities!

Guessing Suori is gonna use some of her money to help out?

Poor Lammis getting jealous of Hakko calling Hulemmy cute tho lol

Welp that's a good way to talk even if somewhat limited but might as well taken the telepathy skill when it was available instead in S1. lol

Boxxo pulled a Bumblebee move—using syllables to form phrases and communicate. It’s crazy how a vending machine can have more romantic moments than a person. Bit by bit, Boxxo’s harem is becoming real—even before he turns human.

Wow Boxxo's really improving on his skills to be able to break down syllables to form broken versions of different words! Very clever, he's getting close to properly talking to everyone!

Boxxo has so much rizz with both Lammis and Hulemy it's insane! And unlike many protagonists, he is not afraid of using it (Hulemy about to fold here LOL). I swear, if he ever becomes humanoid, i want it to end in a harem route with those two!

Also, that awkward moment when a freaking vending machine has more rizz than many isekai and romcom protagonists (Looking at you, Kazuya)

the GOAT Boxxo clutched up once again. The best part of this show is how they take full use of the vending machine aspect, which they use great here by Boxxo using syllables of his catchphrases to actually communicate. One step closer to being an actual human. I do find it a little ridiculous how Boxxo now basically has a full harem, but I don't really care since this show is not meant to be taken seriously in the slightest. Also, the upgraded animation makes the fight scenes look a lot better (at least I think it's upgraded? idk but I remember the animation in season 1 being shitty)

I don't care what anyone says - This remains one of the most thoroughly enjoyable fantasy series from within the past five years or more.

At first I was a bit worried about the power creep and nature of attempting to change the dynamic of the show and character relationships with the limited makeshift talking ability, but I think if it stays like this for a very long time (basically up until the end of the series itself, if it has a proper acknowledged conclusive end) or indefinitely, then it won't be too bad, and it will serve as the stimulus behind a lot of character actions and reactions which previously haven't been possible, like getting Hulemy flustered and blushing.

The only real dilemma with all this that I see is that all this time I have always ardently shipped Boxxo and Lammis, and still earnestly very much wish to continue doing so. But Hulemy's role and relationship with both of them is a complicating factor which adds the element of a saucy triangular affair.

My first thought at the end was that Suori would just give Boxxo a ton of money, but I feel like that is both too obvious and too powerful. Boxxo had a TON of possible upgrades. With infinite money/points he could become too powerful for the story to continue.

Oh damn, Boxxo can talk now! Kinda lol, but I think this is a pretty creative way to allow him to communicate further than simply giving him the ability to say whatever he wants, and hey he already managed to rizz up Hulemy and piss off Lammis so he can already do a lot with this new limited speech lol. And speaking of rizzing up Hulemy, cute scene but this vending machine is really out here making girls fall for him, if he had a human body then it would be over, panties will be dropped for this vending man lol.

But the new speech and cuteness aside, the village got absolutely wrecked which is pretty sad to see, thankfully the characters we know seem to be okay (Shirley looking nice in that tight outfit lol) but RIP to all those that didn’t make it. And the gang seemed to put up a good defense but the matter of Boxxo needing funds came around when he couldn’t keep up his ice attacks as that stupidly massive ice machine, but here comes Suori to save the day, I actually forgot about her ngl lol, we’ll see if she can properly beef up our box next week.

It was still a fun episode though, and Boxxo's new limited speech capability was pleasantly unexpected

Same feeling here. At first glance the show seems nothing special but enjoyed S1, enjoying S2. Dunno, there's something captivating about it.

Although, when it comes to fantasy Clevatess is very good.

Oh yeah - Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon was in my Top 5 series of 2023. Clevatess, it's still too early to say how I'll end up feeling about it as far as it where it stands in this year or in general, but at least it's definitely one of my favorites of the season thus far (along with some non-fantasy series like Ruri no Houseki and Leviathan).

They're in slightly different categories to me though. Clevatess is a dark fantasy, so I put it more in league with something like Kenpuu Denki Berserk. Or maybe Goblin Slayer (season one at least). Or between the two. You know what I mean. Not to the Berserk-level of writing or as thematically intense and dramatic as all that, but more in that vein. More drama, more dark content and brutality, more unhappy endings.

This is a more lighthearted fantasy series. The others I expect to go on a more tense and intense odyssey. This is, at least usually, more relaxing and easygoing just to enjoy the charm of the characters and ins and outs of their weird quirks and relationships.

One thing I like about this series too, which I've said a few times but maybe haven't properly articulated before, is that it takes as plain and generic a bog standard premise that modern D&D and JRPG-inspired isekai has devolved into and just does something totally unique with it I haven't really seen done in any other series or story of any kind I can conjure to mind, in anime or otherwise. And by that I mean turn a human into a normally inanimate non-humanoid (as opposed to like dolls, puppets, toy figurines, etc.) object and actually follow them seriously as a main character. The closest you normally see is like dolls getting possessed, but a vending machine is on another level.

Boxxo's chopping and mixing of his pre-recorded sentences is a neat way to get around his speaking limitations. His reveal couldn't have had better timing as it was the perfect surprise to keep Lammis from heading into danger.

It sucks that the village is in rubble, but having such a reliable magic vending machine makes the situation a lot more bearable. His giant ice machine attack was quite a creative way to mow those enemies down.

I remember Suori wanting to buy Boxxo last season. I'm interested to see if her current offer to help comes at a similar cost.

Whelp, so far another 5/10 season in the making it seems.

Had to power through season 1 re-watch and boredom to watch this, and this is just more of the same. At-least he can now use more than those 4 grating catchphrases, but now he sounds even more special than before.

At-least this show doesn't have creepy pedo shite other shows end up having, so there's that.
