| @nirererin I mean, judging by its overall MAL score and reception, it's clear that I'm in the minority here as most people seem to like it. It just didn't do anything for me, personally. So, if you really are interested in watching it, then don't just take my word for it and give it a try yourself. Fair warning, though: if the initial premise is what calls your attention (it promises interesting worldbuilding by way of its underwater town/society and its cultural conflict with the surface world), then don't get suckered into wasting your time with it. The worldbuilding/lore is undercooked nonsense, and it ultimately takes a back seat to the real meat of the show: high school love polygon melodramatic BS between bland, uncharismatic characters. So yeah, basically if drama/romance is more of your thing than fantasy world intrigue, then you might like it... but if it's not, then you'll probably hate it like I did. |

| Today, Sengoku Youko 2nd Season at a 1/10. I don’t like to rate before I finish whatever the entry is but goodness is this the definition of horrid. I refuse to give this a second chance and heck, the only reason I’m even continuing it is just to complete it so I might as well get the rating out of the way and suffer for a good while. Before that, Madoka Magica at a 10/10. Brilliantly written, and genuinely terrifying. Also watching the first Evangelion Rebuild movie so that’ll be my next rating. |
