| Well, Lloyd used his tactical mind this episode against Jade. He was doing more than just trying to win the fight, but also trying to understand the process of his abilities. The fight was kinda amusing imo, especially seeing all the Lloyd clones. I'll give him props for going into this fight with a plan in mind. Lloyd's performance was kinda impressive for his clever usage of techniques. |

| The real Jade knowing that even as Guisarme takes total control of his body, he still has his memories intact, but wants to go on a rampage of war, against the original's ideals. Sylpha still respecting Humpty Dumpty demon for his Lordost fighting style, but this time, it's Lloyd and Guisarme's fight for all to see, and the former to analyze the power of his attacks to secure an opening against Shadow Wolf. Anything that does damage works, even Lloyd's Parade of Dolls clones, which ingenious plans like the multitude of clones to enable an opening, but at the very cusp of a risk to remain undetected and same with sanity. He is giving Guisarme a run for his brains and brawn, now with his new Spelltaker forged sword to steal Jade's powers and forge it to his will, in an attempt to save the real soul within, even if Grim knows that Lloyd technically could not beat him. The compassion of finding the lost Jade and understanding where he came from, Lloyd understands it all borne from the human heart, which is interconnected to his magic. The Tao fanservice part, Lloyd has also been training to use her Qi powers, something which is defintely leaps and bounds over even the strongest of demon magic, and when joined together with his own magic, is a force to be reckoned with. The biggest fight is yet to come...this is the final ultimatum between a magic-crazed kid and an overpowered demon lord. |

| Lloyd's finally getting serious Lloyd struggled against Guisarme's relentless attacks, which were enhanced by his spatial manipulation abilities. During the battle, a sudden burst of steam provided an unexpected cover, leading Lloyd to a new insight. He decided to attempt a physical attack with his sword. His goal was to decipher and study the magical formula of Jade's abilities, which had been stolen by Guisarme, by using the Magic-Absorbing Demon Sword that can absorb magic. You thought Majins have lots of mana? You thought demons have lots of mana? Joke's on you, they're not even worth mentioning for Lloyd. It's crazy how much this dude Guisarme has been hyped up, and Lloyd was just playing with him like a toy the entire episode. The entire fight was just bonkers, especially everything at the end. For a show like this, I wouldn't have expected this good of animation, and well, let me just tell you, the animation was immaculate. But looks like playtime's over—Guisarme just pulled out a hollow purple. How will this final fight turn out in the finale? |

Lloyd finally understand Jade’s power and give Guisarme the beat down he deserved. Loved it when smug arrogant villain being toy with. |
| This is the episode I've been most anticipated for this anime, and it's finally here. Man that was hype! Tho I felt the Synthesis magic moment was a little bit disappointing if I had to make a complaint. But overall, the studio nailed it. Comparison with the manga version:    |

| The action and animation/visuals were great again yes but everything that Lloyd said, the difference between him and the demon lord or humans and demons and what makes them human was great as well. Fantastic episode really, can't believe just one more episode left. Please end with a s2 announcement. |

| Absolute cinema sir! The sheer number of things that happen makes me amazed that this studio can really deliver justice for the manga, even though the manga is still better, the studio has done the best for the audience, right? The moment when Lloyd said "Hurry it up" made me really excited about what would happen next. The special ED for this episode shows the staff's intentions in adapting this anime. Next week is the last episode for (Cour 1) hopefully they will immediately announce (Cour 2) when it ends. (I hope the leak about this has 2 cours, that's true)  |

| This anime did great of “showing” that the demons even though with overwhelming power, are just big idiots to the core. Really subtle way of displaying the OPness of MC without dumbing down the fight scenes too much. |

| @EienGem They are overconfident mainly because yeah, they are basically OP when it comes to mana, they are mostly immune to it and have vast amounts of it as well, not to mention the transmutation and possession and cursed speech. It's really only Lloyd who could've beaten Guisarme, Guisarme also got an insane increase in power thanks to Shadow Wolf, and yeah, what I love about this show and fight in particular is that Lloyd's "win-condition" doesn't have to do with power, but with knowledge. His main priority was to learn Shadow Wolf himself, once that was done, Guisarme was pretty much cooked. Lloyd is OP, no doubt about it, but he goes beyond that, he is a very complex character and this episode showed what I love about the entire show in general. Also, I read this same comment of yours on Crunchyroll, no wonder why I got a bit of deja-vu just now 😂 |

| This show was not supposed to be this damn good man. Stellar episode. Pure cinema. Fuck Guisarme. Jade tried warning Guisarme that he would regret taking over his body and going thru with this plan. Didn’t wanna listen, now he getting his ass best by Lloyd in some of the best seasonal fantasy animation you’ll see, my goodness. Didn’t know the team behind this show was gonna be so talented. This final arc of the season has felt like a proper long running series arc. I don’t have any issue with them taking 4-5 episodes on this. It’s the strongest enemy Lloyd has fought so far and Lloyd cared a lot about Jade so if he’s really gone he deserves a proper send off. Holding out hope that somehow Lloyd can bring him back once he’s finished with this fight. Seeing Lloyd straight up toy with Guisarme who’s been an arrogant POS was so satisfying. Even with the demon lord going all out Lloyd was straight beating his ass, telegraphing all his moves and overpowering him with mana, Something that Guisarme prides himself on Wtfff that ending tho, a spirit bomb?? How’s Lloyd gonna handle this in the finale. One last ep left 😢 |

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |

| I'm a bit dissapointed loyd didn't go crazy like he did with the lich. I was hoping to see him go all nuts again. Instead he went all emphatic all the sudden. Eh, oh well. Pretty good episode still overall. |
| Goddamn the opening scene was so loud with that orchestra music. Lloyd seems to be struggling hiding his powers, first a broken bridge and now the steam. A little more yapping this episode but still a somewhat satisfying fight just wished they didn't drag it out with the monologues - I like the overexaggerated faces, makes the action less edgy. (especially all the proxies, need more of this absurdity lol)  |
| My goated Lloyd. They adapt the fight scenes very well. In the end, not all manga can be translated into anime very well especially if the manga is already too good (this one and One Punch Man come to mind, also maybe Dandadan! which worries me). At this point, people hating on this for the pettiest or no reason at all is whatever. They just missed such a goated anime. |

| Honestly this entire fights been pretty underwhelming and it's disappointing knowing it's just going to end and have a brief wrap up before poof it's done. As a season the pacing of events feels very rushed, it's been enjoyable enough but I'm not very impressed overall. Makes me wonder if a longer run would have improved the general pacing issues. I suppose I'll have to check out the manga to compare. |

Tsumugi really goated man😩🔥😩🔥😩🔥😩🔥 Guisarme is proving to be a worthy contender I’m not even gonna lie this guy would actually a fucking menace if Lloyd was not there and he was rampaging freely this guy can go up against a lot of other shonen fighters tbh now that I think about it he’s too buff with that OP ass teleportation powers😭 Finally Grim stopped bitching like a bitch likes he’s been doing since episode 1 and stood alongside Lloyd’s crazy battle junkie ass, like did grim forgot he was a powerful demon himself which barely any humans can defeat?💀🤦🏽♂️💀 I loved the part where Lloyd thinks back to his past life and talks about how great humans are that was a great touch to this episode really made me smile and feel happy for Lloyd being happy he finally gets to study magic like how he wanted to🥹 Cant wait for the final episode and see how everything gets wrapped up once this show finishes I’m definitely reading the manga after. | I am so confused, can't people do math properly? Many say it has been 4 episodes of fighting, but at most is has been just 2, the first when Guisarme shows off Shadow Wolf and this one being the actual proper fight, I get last episode technically has these 2 fighting, but it was for the most part all about Sylpha, even then, that's 3 episodes, and sure, next episode is technically a fight episode as well, but it's not going to extend the fight much longer. Not to mention the amount of development shown, you are going to tell me Lloyd has not accomplished anything at all this fight, I sometimes think the narrations and explanations are just a waste of time and drag for a bit, but it seems the average viewer needs them because wow. Oh wait, nvm, this is a MAL forum, people here have the attention span and comprehension skills of a goldfish, my bad 😅 |

I wonder how they're gonna end this season, this episode ended on chapter 37 of the manga, initially I thought the anime will end half of chapter 42 (right before a new character shows up) but looking at it now it might end on chapter 41 base from the next episode title and that's still like 4 chapters in one episode, hopefully they can pace it right somehow. Also hopefully the leak of this having 2 cours become true next week, I want to see the next arc be animated!
| @Aichi07 My initial thoughts were that it would end on the very beginning of chapter 42, right at the end of the arc and the beginning of the next one. It would be a dream come true if they animate the 2nd one, I also wonder if they'd be able to fit all 46 chapters of the next arc in another 12 episodes, might be time to cut some of them here and there or up the pacing a bit. But the thing I'm looking forward to the most is the soundtrack, heck, the way they portray music in the manga alone is enough to send shivers down my spine, I really hope they do it justice. |

| Wow he was able to see Jade's soul or echo, or a memory or I dunno, heck he knows what Jade's final words that only this demon lord has heard. Ohh there's his ultimate big move/spell/attack...I'm afraid Lloyd's just gonna use the Spelltaker so it will be eaten by the sword, he'll analyze it and then Lloyd's gonna use it, optimize it, upgrade it and whatever he wants to do with it. |
