Have you gone through a phase like that?
| I hear that people have gone through a phase where they are obsessing over any anime they can get their hands on, but I haven't gone through a phase like this myself. Even when I started watching anime, I enjoyed things that I wouldn't enjoy as much now, but I think that's more of my taste changing. There were still things I didn't like. |

| Yeah I remember when I first started watching anime I had zero knowledge of the consensus people had regarding certain series, so for example I didn't know about all the SAO being shit stuff, Seven deadly sins falling off, and isekai being hated for being generic. In consequence I enjoyed series that most people don't like, stuff like Darling in the Franxx and Domestic Girlfriend were two I really liked. |

| When I first started, yeah. Mostly because they were so much different than the stuff I would usually watch. Also because I thought the characters were significantly more attractive, so that upped my enjoyment alot. |
| Yes, especially when I first started watching anime, since there was so much to see and I was fascinated by it. I don't do it as often these days, but I'm drawn to the amount of anime that everyone "has watched" but that I haven't seen yet. |

| yeah but it was later on through my journey of watching anime. been watching like 8yrs now but just had that phase 2 years ago. when the world was on lockdown. I've watched cowboy bebop, eva, barakamon, mushishi, and higurashi and i can say that was the best phase for me. |

| Yes, when I first started watching which lasted a few months. Every couple months I get into a phase though where every anime is great, then I switch to thinking everything is boring, and repeat. |

| nope. Even back when I first started watching anime at around age 16 or so I felt like more than half the stuff I tried was pure garbage. I grew alienated with anime for quite some time because of this and only came back to the medium a few years ago after a very, very long hiatus. Now it's much easier to find access to anime of all sorts so I don't just have to watch whatever is available and hope that it doesn't suck. |

| Yes, when i first started getting into anime, almost everything seemed amazing. So many of those series became "Gold Standard" for me, in that i use them for comparision to other anime. |

| Well this phase basing on what kind of anime you watch and when it was produced. If I'll start to watch one by one comedy anime from 2000s for example then I'll get into this phase. If I'll wish to end this phase then I'll grab a popular modern anime of any genre which will be average at best. |
| Every anime was never amazing, I just didn't pay enough attention to show i avoided or dropped as I am now because of listing. But I was a very picky guy when I started, now I watch anything. I think there are shows which now I appreciate, but didn't appreciate back then |

| Even when I was younger and just starting to dabble more into anime, I still found the occasional title that I didn't have a positive opinion on thus either ditching it or posting a negative opinion on it on sites that I frequented during the time period if I chose to suffer through it. |
| My phase wasn't that all anime were amazing, but I thought every anime were good or still worth watching. That was until I watched Kill la Kill. |
