| That's kinda crazy if they do. I am not one to ask for facts but I have seen quite a few Indians who will say that everyone in India grew up with shit like Doraemon and shounen. Or something like that. For them to continue is something that is seemingly very popular too. Where did you even get this from? |

| I remember there was a lot of uproar for indian fans to get Makoto Shinkai's Weathering with you film to air legally in indian theatres - so much so that they managed to get it aired in india legally based on the success of the petition signing for it; so they definitely don't hate anime. (can't remember where I read it from) |

| As an Indian, I can positively deny this statement In fact it is completely opposite of what you said...... our mainstream entertainment media (Bollywood) is an utter shit industry with few exceptions of some regional industries who create somewhat quality stuff for the masses to consume So it is impossible for any foreign media (average/above average quality) to get any hate in India๐ Even an average Hollywood movie is considered great here |

| Nah, in fact, it's getting even more popular but yeah with all the popularity toxicity is also coming, for instance, people who watched the DB series as a kid think it's a 10/10 masterpiece that can't be surpassed like wtf? And then we got the new anime fans who just started watching for like a week and scream that Demon Slayer is the best anime ever made and say things like Baka, senpai, Arigatou and such but I guess it happens all over the world. |

| i remember forsaken the aim cs guru, on topic nah they just have different cultures in some places so you shouldn't expect a vast majority of it would accept anime. it's also extra work to find stuff to watch using phone as not everyone can afford a pc at home ya know. |

| Eh not really. The actual concerning fact is that Anime is perceived as cartoons for kids. Which I believe isn't an only-Indian thing. Gradually but people are getting aware of this fact. |

| I'm Indian and I can confirm that I hate anime. In case you were wondering, all my ratings are false. Seriously though - no, it's just that people haven't had enough exposure to anime. The only ones that have been aired here and were watched by loads of people were Doraemon, Shinchan, Ninja Hattori, Hagemaru, etc. so people think they're for kids. Oh, and 80% of 'real' anime fans in India have only watched Naruto.
