When it comes to short based anime, there’s usually episodes that last for about 5 to almost 10 minutes worth of episode time. I was wondering if there’s people on here that watch that kind of anime.

Examples for those that want to know what I’m talking about: https://myanimelist.net/anime/293/Di_Gi_Charat?q=Di%20Gi&cat=anime

I think some can be nice. Though I tend to prefer 20-25 minute series

Also good for time killing despite of the length. Still some are good and bad just like the long ones.

nupunupu was 6/10 for me. digicharat could've been good too if it wasn't for fart jokes.

I have a friend who prefers short anime like that because it doesn't take too much time and effort to watch it. I personally only watch those that are related to the series I like, or something that my friend recommends to me. For me they're too short and most if not all are episodic, and I'm not a big fan of the episodic format.

I've watched a handful and enjoyed them. Things like:

Tonari no Seki-kun
Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko: Everything Flows
Please Take My Brother Away
Damekko Doubutsu
Inu to Neko Docchi mo Katteru to Mainichi Tanoshii

are all short enjoyable watches. They're also easy to watch inbetween other longer series.

It's good. They're usually didn't have complicated things that burned your braincells away except for few stuffs like teekyuu

The only one which springs to mind which I've actually liked is Inferno Cop. I'm sure there are a few more, but generally most things worth doing on TV work better with proper length episodes.

i've watched a few and had a decent time with them, but honestly, it's a pretty big turn off for me.

the best one i've seen is probably saiki-k, though something i really liked about it is that netflix formatted it as 20 minute episodes by gluing two episodes together. i just think 20 minutes is a great runtime, as it's just substantial enough to have weight and time to accomplish a lot, while also being short enough to be easy to commit to an episode, or stop to do other stuff at the drop of a hat.

regarding different formats, i am more comfortable with longer stuff rather than shorts, as the latter either feels too light, like nothing of importance happened, or too fast paced, in my limited experience.

They sound pretty good since sometimes I just wanna watch a short episode if I need to do something else after. I haven't seen any tho.

I've seen just a few. I prefer 20min long episodes but they were nice in it's way.

- Danchigai (3min)
- Nijiiro Days (10min)
- Today's Menu for the Emiya Family (10min)

Same like other anime. Some good some bad. I've watched quiet a number of them:
- A Piece of Phantasmagoria
- Gakuen Handsome
- Inferno Cop
- Di Gi Charat
- Sexy Commando Gaiden
- Chi's Sweet Home Alabama

They're all below 10 min per ep and good imo.

Generally I don't mind short form anime and watch them, no problem. But for anime like "Kuro Gal ni Natta kara Shinyuu to shitemita.", which started airing since Spring 2017. It should be a 23 min. length for an episode.

they’re cool since I can binge them but a lot of the time they don’t really have much story to them but I guess you can’t do much in less than 12 minutes per episode

The only series I watched like that was clone wars 2003, which was cool but uh I don't think I'd ever prefer that format over full lengthed episodes, it just doesn't have enough time to properly develop the story

Not the same experience as watching normal length episodes because they can't establish that much of a story but they can be good for quick laughs
