| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Heh, Alfred and Marius fighting those monsters in the royal castle. Those monsters also looks hideous. The drama and action scenes didn't impress me much either. Seems this episode just wanted to wrap up the main conflict that has been going on. Meh, it's a very average anime imo, easily forgettable. |

| As expected, we get to see the FULL backstory of the Hortensia Kingdom from Episode 1...lies in the instigator of Pope Vall d'Hebron's desperate attempt to pull off his religious stunts to resurrect the dead and destroy the royal family from within. Facing their own past, and having to face the final boss of a devilish regenerating demonic big boob monster, that's unsightly. But no worries, bring back Marielle's mysterious power from last episode and the return of Rugis as the catalyst werewolf, all'd be settled right? Right? WRONG. The "knight in shining armour" for an awful sacrifice at the end, resurrected only by the hopes of a princess. So yup...go play the game to find out the alternate timeline. Welp...another awful showing of a game adaptation. |

| Soooo...the pope grew tits when he became a demon? Neat. This show wasn't good. When it began I found it confusing, just being thrown into it expected to memorize terms and locations. I never bothered with that. To its credit it did become more linear and understandable as it went on though...which is faint praise I know, but hey it's all I got. The last few episodes in particular were easier to watch, though the tragic Alfred death then apparently turned into a demon sequel bait ending was dumb as hell. Honestly it alone makes me want to knock another point off my score, but I won't. I'll be kind with a 5/10, but this was Bottom 3 this season for me, and very possibly the worst show I watched overall. Best left forgotten. I guess the game this was based on probably isn't great either. |

Or perhaps amend it to say if the story is identical to how it was presented in this anime adaptation then it's not great. Keep in mind I did say both probably, which inherently implies I might be wrong and not great which is not the same as awful. I never intend to play it regardless so I'll never know. Thinking about more in fact as an advertisement this anime failed harder as the negative feelings it left me with only further cemented that I would never try the source game. |

| Well that was a crappy way to end it. Why not cliffhanger into another season? Or happily ever aft? I mean at least Akame ga Kill made sense in the end even thought it was a bad end. This was a Glass Lip bad end. Made no sense. Why all the relationship builds just to end it sourly. |
| Wow this was a huge pile of rotten cheese at least kings raid had the elfs story to keep me invested what did this have just nice character designs thats pretty much it wow so what was the point of making it look like he would die in the OP weird way to bait people into thinking the series would try to be different who am I kidding has any game anime adaptation been good I can't remember but they aren't good, well at least I can say I managed to finish this show basically a 4/10 from me |

| At some moments this show was average at best but most of the time it was bad and boring, I'm glad it's over, I hope they never make another season or ova and I'm never playing the game in my life. |

| I guess I'm the only one who thoroughly enjoyed this. The last episode sets up a good hook for another season. I don't think this will do good enough for another season, which is a genuine shame. |

| Him being brought back to life and seemingly being "evil" (that red eye thing at the end) was quite strange but I was honestly expecting some generic ass bs happy ending knowing how the series has been so I was actually not expecting him die at all. It's weird but I like endings that make me think and all the generic stuff beforehand has damaged my rating quite a bit but I'm glad they chose it to be a more thought provoking one over a generic and plain one. Pretty solid last episode I would say even if I didn't like the series much as a whole |

| To think that they may put some tragic ending, as they always teased it through the oped, and some tiny glimpse. Well, Alfred became an undead, and possibly a bad guy in the end xD. I wonder why that witch didn't tell the truth to the princess, and why everyone just accepted it like that. To be continued, in the game storylines, i guess! So that's it. The end of the Hortensia saga first chapter. Its mostly unfinished. Even though the Pope death unmistakably there. Good thing that Didier not death, and flew away with the relic on his hand. In short, its pretty much very predictable stories through the end of the series. So i don't find any appealing matters in these final one, unfortunately. Well, not that i expect much from the beginning of the series. So, its just indeed a fine show with fine end. Even the old man, Maurice still able to survived. Holy shit! Final individual score through every parts: Story: 5 Arts: 7 Sounds: 6 Characters: 4 Enjoyment: 5 Average (down) overall scores: 5/10 Okayish show, really nice to fill the times with its kingdom fantasy story. But in the end, well, that's it all from me! |

Even then, after watching them, I decided to continue watching the series, knowing in advance that the first story arc would be weaker than the second. And judging by the overall plot will focus more on |
| The ending felt like they were getting it ready for a second season but I’d doubt it. It’s most likely just a prequel to the game. This show was kinda bad I guess. I liked the animation and art style. The ED was one my favorite EDs of the season but that’s it. Nothing else about Hortensia Saga was good. |

| It was OK until the last ~5 minutes. Guess that's the nature of these types of shows, much like Grand Order where you had to have played the game to understand everything. |
| Decent finale to a fairly average fantasy show, but I did enjoy it a bit. This ending is either a "there's going to be a season 2 ending" or a "go play the fucking game ending" lmao. From what I saw this is only one of the arcs of the game, there's more that the anime hasn't adapt. Hopefully we get a season 2, because I ain't going to play the game, though chances are pretty slim. There's still a lot of questions that I want answered, so I really hope we do get one. 6/10 |

| 6/10. Was 7/10 for me most of the time - same as King's Raid. Though Hortensia Saga had less boring moments while King's Raid barely managed the 7. (6.5 rounded up.) Last episode was bad though. Felt like this needed a sequel ... and let me guess: We are supposed to play the game to get to know more of the story. (There have even been anime in the past that totally had been some prequel story of the game where the story of the anime wasn't even in the game. And set before the game started lol.) I would have preferred a better ending. Especially with Rugis - nice to see him in action in that one scene. Him just turning werewolf again ... was horrible. |
| That ending really left us on a huge cliff hanger that we will never be able to see. It was interesting to see Albert alive again but she commited an taboo that was not suppose to be touched. 6/10 there were some good parts and some boring eps but overall it was ok. |
