what made this anime score low? please explain without spoilers the story line ..

Please explain why this anime got such low scores? I've watched episode 1 and still haven't found it weird.

The floating fairytail happy knockoff drives you insane very quickly.
The idea that the main character(?) doesn't figure out who his 'squire' is after years of working closely, is rediculous.
The animation is 'adequate'
The world feels generic.
In a season full of amazing anime, it felt so plain and boring.

Neko mascot character does not contribute to anything whatsoever and only makes squeaking noises. Without it, anime would be much better.
On top of that, this anime is just a generic RPG game adaptation, so there is no real point in watching it.

The anime pretends the main characters went through a massive struggle when it didn't feel like it
What the fuck was even going on at the end
Calling the animation adequate is an overstatement, the fights were boring and the facial expressions felt kinda stiff, although it's not Ex-Arm stiff
Underwhelming motivations from the villains
Introduction of an antagonistic force at the beginning of the anime that was close to useless
God the voice of that maid was irritating
Pretty much everything in the middle of the anime felt pointless, you could skip everything between episode 3 and 10 and you would have probably missed 10 minutes of relevant content

I believe he has such a low score due to some factors:
History with a bad pace;
Weak fight scenes;
Characters not very charismatic and without a development that would make us identify with them;
Missing points of innovation in the anime, making it just another generic RPG anime.

i dropped it cause i got bored

Well it has a good begining but gets boring very quickly and the pacing is too slow

It wasn't that much fun. Horie Yui carried most of the show. Generic story. Decent world setting. Great characters. And I love Kobayashi Yuu so I may have given it an extra point for her.

I like this anime, the story is simple just like ordinary isekai anime,after all this is worth to watch and this anime is for ppl who like fight and not much thinking

holy crap. that little flying pet thingy isn't in any of the later episodes. i forgot it even existed at all, honestly...wtf haha

I had no expectations going in on this show, but the only thing you'll hate is happy(blue cat) I watched it in dub and It wasn't a bad show. I saw worst shows lol

The last 2 minutes of episode 12 killed the rating.
