As for themes I love heartwarming anime, whether that comes from Romance, Family, Sadness or Happiness, although I prefer romance mainly, but not as a primary focus of the show. If not that, then something more mysterious would be nice, I’m also into drama, No particular quirks aside from those.

I've noticed that this year's edition of the images, doesn't have a slot pre-written or a slot saying for users to put in their skill level for photo editing. Are we discarding this pairing aspect this year?

We removed that field from the signup form, but we'll still be taking your skill level into account based on the examples of images you've edited before.

If Santa still needs elves, I am glad to volunteer!

So here is my question: When images are gifted, what are they exactly? Are they images that they think suit the other person, are they simple edits, can custom drawn ones be gifted? And are there any qualifications for the gifted image or criteria that need to be met?

Yes, you'd try to match their request in both what type of image they want (profile pic, about me, etc. which have resolution requirements) and also the likes/preferences they describe in their sign up post. You can certainly hand-draw gifts or otherwise edit to the best of your ability! There are no other minimum qualifications for the image.

Question - Do I get a choice as to what I can make as in an user gets a choice as to what they want but does an user get a choice about what they can make ?

Talking about images, I suppose? You can add to your sign-up post that you'd prefer doing a signature for someone, as example. That way, the elves try to match you with someone who wants to get a signature.

How do the images work? Are they supposed to be of high standard? I don't plan to send garbage but I know that my art skills are less than high tier.

You would be matched with someone appropriate for the skill level you demonstrate from the images you provide as examples. The only expectation is that you do your best and we (the elves) will be available to give pointers or help with image editing work as well. :)
