Why are anime fans "proud of being perverts"?

It just occurs to me everytime I see a series with a female character on it's cover which can have huge breasts, very tight or short clothing or is just pretty. There doesn't even have to be much ecchi or adult stuff in the series, too. There are ALWAYS guys "joking" around reading it for "scientific purpose" or saying "I see boobs I bookmark".

Instead of thinking of it as a "funny remark" ot gives me a bad taste and I feel really disgusted by those individuals. I don't see a difference in their view of a "female manga character" or a "real girl/women". Is there some kind of origin of these expressions/attitudes?

That is generalizing which also isn't true lol.

You also answered your own question too; joking isn't "joking." Sometimes it literally is, objectively, without malice, a joke.

The real issue here is that you're attempting to take a moral high ground which in another frame is the same thing as elitism.

Liking tits isn't a disgusting or problematic behavior, neither is indulging in media that bases itself on sexualization.

What *is* disgusting is the demonization of others for enjoying something that's ultimately harmless on their own accord, while still trying to posture as having the moral high ground.

Feel free to be disgusted by these works and to express as much, but the issues you're having with other people for liking them are purely on you and nobody else. The people and behaviors that you're taking issue with are doing nothing wrong.

Cover is there to sell the product , Breast sells well so therefor breast ,Cash is king and money rules the world

And there is huge different between ecchi i and ecchi ,i watching Miru Tights, thats a nice ecchi , no gigantic breast rape or stupidity like that ,just girls in tights ,,,,

If you chose to consume anime the ecchi is hard to avoid,,, embrace it instead , And dont take any notice by commends of a repugnant type in a forum .You just gonna waste your time

And i like ecchi ,,, Its a huge different between a female irl and a cartoon character that dont have feelings, most people understand this,,, And the few who doesn't understand that,, Well Ecchi is not the their problem, other factors are often the culprit

Feeling disgusted because people like to watch sexually appealing anime girls that are designed from the ground up to be sexually appealing? Thats like saying you are disgusted with somebody eating a tasty sandwich because it's tasty.

Liking ecchi doesn't always correlate to hardcore perversion. I love a good boob anime like Valkyrie Drive or Seikon no Qwaser, the cute playful sexuality in anime is relaxing and fun to watch and a great way to unwind.

The difference is that anime girls can make things look cute that would normally induce projectile vomited if a 3D girl did it. 2D > 3D. There is no comparison or crossover.

All that being said; if you are getting so easily triggered by anime boobs you should really find a new hobby.

some of them are just memeing and the others genuinely take likes to those female characters
i think it's just a trend among anime and manga community now and its totally common for people to have waifus and argue about best girls

If you feel disgusted by people fapping to big titty/ass anime girls then that just means you're homosexual.

They act that way because weebs are a group of sexually repressed and socially deviant individuals. The open and prideful behaviour when it comes to sexualizing everything and being horny 24/7 is a result of that. Pretty depressing that this is the norm since it gives a bad image of anime culture, but what can you do. People will like what they like.

its not like there are lot of news or even overall statistics that say anime fans are also perverts like rapist in real life anyway

and you know japan have a no sex crisis (that their population is declining a lot because of it) but they are also a country known for being a sexual pervert like their stuff with anime and the abundant live action porn they have that is even shown in actual TV i heard

I'm not fond of such works (since they're not targeted towards me) but Manaban is absolutely correct about this.

@Ghirahim9
I don't see a difference in their view of a "female manga character" or a "real girl/women".

Please be kidding.

Ummm, It's kind of the other way around. The 'perverts' are normal honest human beings and you should be asking 'Is there some kind of origin of your attitude?'. Fundamentally on a primal level men are attracted to female sexual parts and it is perfectly alright since it is in our DNA, but we also exist in a construct called 'society' and to prevent the rampant growth of rapists, polygamy and other destructive elements, humanity developed defensive structures in the guise of 'human morality and ethics' which provide a secondary artificial governance over the human mind. Please step down from your high horse and realise that your life has been a lie because you were taught that sexual elements in media are vile but in reality the sole purpose of 'Morality'(in this case) is to only just prevent crime/inappropriate behavior but has no say in the naturally harmless enjoyment of OPPAI. Sometimes it can even be viewed positively as a redirect from looking at 3D to 2D which can help in curbing earlier said primal instincts and maintain a higher moral order(otherwise lust may spiral out of control and warrants dangerous consequences).
For a lot of people(myself included) nobody taught them to enjoy sexual elements in media(infact it was obviously the opposite case) but it naturally happened(Darwin was not joking about evolution you know).
Infact i know of a strange case in real life where a man with a heavy morally strict upbringing got into an arranged marriage but did not know anything about sex and shunned it to the core and had to be taught sex education. All in all, you decide where you want to be on the spectrum of morality but remember that you are the one behaving unnaturally and we 'perverts' are perfectly normal human beings who co-exist with everyone in society in a harmonious way(exceptions ofcourse include criminals but not all 'perverts' are criminals).

This is another accusatory bullcrap targeted at fans of ecchi. Third one I saw this week iirc. What is it about sexuality that is so deserving of censure I cannot see.

I do agree with the OP, quite honestly. I do wish more people were into anime for things other than the Ecchi, because there are so many awesome things about it. But oh well, can’t change people! I don’t think the OP should be attacked like this though. (S)he asked a genuine question.

I have to admit, as a huge anime fan myself, I wish anime fans would stop "joking" around like that, it just perpetuates a stereotype.

Feel free to dislike this stuff all you want, but I feel like there is no point in finding a problem in something that was designed to be harmless fun in the first place.
