Damn, it seems some of the enemies Guy destroyed still survived.

Looks like we also got some flashbacks of Nakamachi's mother. It's kinda emotional tbh. A nicely balanced episode imo with the amount of action and emotional content.

That's what I call a mom, who cares if she wasn't their birth mother!

Pretty good episode I must say.

Finally at the last homestretch, we learn about Vilma's backstory: a tragedy of the same-old, same-old, ZONAPHA disease that has wrecked her little brother's life the same way that others affected have been.

Similar with the members of Nakamichi Circus, their sole purpose is to be the circus wherever they go, and it's the same here, helping Fou and Narumi. Being the light and shining the circus.

I must say, having to learn the short momentary backstory of Vilma and her little brother back in Episode 9, now in full, feels very impactful. Already knew the endgame is near and it's gonna get better.

Too bad that Guy's self-destructive attack didn't pose a threat to the stronger automata, but Masaru made it out to help Vilma at the last minute, and her obligations are fulfilled.

5 more episodes to go, and really feeling a lot of excitement for what lies ahead.

Shit, not Vilma too pls ;_; I had enough suffering with Guy last week.

Masaru came to save the day at least. He sliced that puppet so hard xD.

Nakamachi's mother was the real mvp on that flashback, or should I call it an "mvm" Most Valuable Mom

Didn't think Vilma would die since she promised to marry Ashihana after this, guess they didn't consider him or wasn't on her mind. I'm glad they developed Hiro, Nori and Vilma, but they only do it for death flags it seems. I also think Shirogane might die, but that's a guess though.

Vilma hit her final target, as I don't think she's getting back up after that. :(

This was another good episode. Sadly it is becoming quite the tragedy, I would not be surprised if they kill almost all the side characters till the end of the show.

Vilma was heroic at the end. She never lost her light. The backtrack was cool too.
RIP Vilma

While I did like the Circus Mom's backstory this is just bad.

Cramming in characters' backstories right before they die in a halfassed attempt to make us care about their deaths is awful writing. Maybe these deaths had meaning in the manga where I presume there was time to get attached to the circus troupe but here its just nothing.

Pretty much, with the exception of one or two deaths across the whole series. At least as far as I'm concerned.

The mother's backstory was came a lot of earlier in the manga. It also explored why their Circus bankrupted and ended up doing freelance job until Masaru and Shirogane came along. The anime cut a lot of slice of life portion to develop the Nakamachi's family and how they able to restore their Circus.

Oh, they also cut out 3 characters from the manga in this arc. That should able to explained how many content already left out in the anime.

So we have a backstory about the Circus. The mum was such a great character even though she wasn't their real mother.

Are we going to have another death? Poor Vilma.
