Really interesting to see more of Garm's past too. I love how he shows no fear as a kid. Seems more big fights are coming. |

| Thorfinn knocked him out without problem. Thorfinn using Askeladd's teachings is very satisfying to see. Interesting to see bit of Garm's backstory, wasn't what I expected. He was pretty much born as a psycho. |
| It was unexpected to see a flashback to Askeladd. Feels like decades since we left that guy. And finally it seems Garm will leave us alone and we can move on to the next phase of the story |

| Garm's past really reminded of the past of Sasaki Kojiro from Vagabond. |
| Makoto Yukimura finally gives Garm a back-story (well, just a brief of it though). now we know that all this time Garm considered killing/war as a game where he thought of everyone that involved in it as friends. |

| What I enjoyed the most about this fight is how Thorfinn made use of the lessons taught to him by both of his "fathers". When he let go of that blade of his, Yukimura paralleled him visually with Thors, this chapter he made a deliberate callback to the wolves fight between Askeladd and Thorfinn. It really goes to show how much Thorfinn has developed as a character and how much closer he has moved to become the man that both of them wanted him to be/ saw in him |
| A really, really good chapter.. This Garm challenging Thorfinn thing is quite boring from the beginning of his first appearance, but this ending is really good.. Yes, Thorfinn's part of reminiscencing Thors and Askeladd really have strong feeling in them.. Garm's past and his nature are also really good ... |

| The part at the end where Hild (for the upteenth time) mentions killing Thorfinn if he kills someone is overdone and makes her too one-note as a character. Her dad and master's ghosts already dissaprove of her trying to kill him before, so why stretch that out? |

Agreed, she's a really annoying character to me; especially because Thorfinn would obviously wreck her if he was serious. Repeating hollow threats don't make them any more frightening or even interesting. |

| I used to hate Thorfinn in prologue arc becuz of his angry one dimensional personality but damn he is come a long way and become such a cool,calm and savage character especially in last couple of chapters I love how he taunt Garm like Askeladd used to taunt him. Great chap I love everything but I don't like Garm as a character |

| The character was already ridiculous enough as presented until now, the flashback only made it more so. 2/5 @FMmatron You're lucky. The character only piles up with Thorkell in the "too ridiculous for the ambiant seriousness" to me, constantly reminding me I'm reading a fantasy adventure rather than an historical one. At least, Thorkell is usually played for laugh, where this one goes as a pure threat and a dramatic attempt (especially with this lfashback). |

Real, this is so unnecessary, she say that every 5 chapters + doesn't fit with the Thorfinn VS Hild arc, when she accepted that she will not kill Thorfinn |

| Under the right (or wrong) circumstances Thorfinn could've been just like Garm, a psycho war glorifier. Also, I don't perceive Garm and Hild as boring one dimensional characters. To me they're just as obsessive as Thorfinn was in the past. It's a long way to go towards maturity. |
