My last pet was a staffordshire terrier in black/white colour, which is rare for that breed. Scary appearance but actually very kind dog. She died a year ago and I decided to not get another pet.

I don't have pets at the moment, but when I was younger, I had tons, including cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, lizards, a turtle, and even a wolf spider!

My brother had a few cockatiels who would only make noise when they heard the whistling theme song for the cartoon Ed, Edd n Eddy! I guess they thought it was another bird. XD

LOL I had 3 Cockatiels and they could be the loudest damn birds whenever they'd hear whistling. They thought they had to compete on who could get the highest pitch or something. Yours sound great xD

To the OP, right now I half own 1-2 dogs, kind of in the process right now, so I'm a bit unsure.
In the past, I've had dogs, cats, fish, birds, rabbits, and a bearded dragon.

He trained them to attack me at his bidding. lmao. Once, I was running away from them and slammed my bedroom door...along with one of the birds, inadvertently. We thought it was going to die, but after nursing it for an hour or two, it was fine. Another time, one flew out the back door of the house when I opened it, never to be seen again. You gotta be careful with doors when birds are around, I'm tellin' ya!

OMG LOL I feel like your birds are just magnets to doors or something. The fear of them flying out when one is opened, though, is too real.

The music in the video had me dying xD

I was also careful with doors when cats were around. Oh, and I stopped letting cats go outside after a certain point, because too many ran away.

I was surprised you mentioned rabbits and bearded dragons right after the other, since I happened to know of this video.

Holy crap, what's up with your animals just up and leaving?! Luckily, the 1-2 dogs I half own right now are super good about not running out whenever I open the doors. They look at me and wait until I say, "Go ahead." So, I lucked out on that part. Were your cats the outdoorsy type?

Yeah, I left the best for last, but right before typing it I remember that I had a rabbit many, many years ago. He'd always hide from us, so we'd have to follow his little poop balls to wherever he was at lol

I treated my cats like the feline deities they are, so I dunno. My grandparents (who were just a few blocks away from the house I grew up in) had lots of cats too who could come and go as they pleased, and not many of those ran away. In any case, I loved my cats too much to risk losing them, so I kept the later ones inside at all times.

I don't currently own a pet due to practical reasons, but I have had cats around for a large portion of my life and I would definitely like to have one. Cats are awesome. They're reliably affectionate (if treated with consistent affection, which is no problem for me) but independent, they purr when you stroke them, they can be mostly left to their own devices and to roam, and they don't invade your personal space aggressively. (Persistently, maybe, but not aggressively.) And they're all daft in multiple amusing but varied ways.

Ohhh, maybe they thought since they were deities, then they were entitled to do whatever they pleased, even if that meant running away lol Cats are such divas

I only have a Quaker Parakeet for now since many of my other pets passed away from aging for the past two years.

I used to have a White Budgie Parakeet that lived only 6 years. Also, four other dogs that lived from 8-14 years. The oldest one was a black lab. that lived for almost 14 years. The other dogs were her mixed-breed offspring.

My parents plan on adopting a dog or another bird soon.

I have a cat and I take care of currently two stray cats that live outside hanging out on my front porch. Those strays don't let me touch them though. There is other ferral and stray cats in my neighbourhood I see often and had raised a few as kittens in the past because they were sick. I have had many pets over the years.

Bambi said:

A fox is doable because there are domesticated foxes. More wild than other dogs but tame enough to have as a pet. Foxes are really cute especially fennic foxes and arctic foxes.

Usually female mice become heavily lethargic and all hidey after their companion dies. Well my mouse, honestly acted like nothing happened when I placed the dead corpse of the dead mouse in front of her and after that, yep same thing. No sign of change. ¯\_(⌣̯̀⌣́)_/¯
