| This final episode punished everyone who didn't watch the second half.. A lot of scenes were different, a lot of lines were different, and more. The puppets return! I've waited for them for 8 whole episodes, and they went out with a bang. I'm not sure if the song exceeded the epicness that was Let's Pop Together, but even if it didn't, it was awesome nonetheless. A different Bob Epic Team for each segment, I didn't see that coming. I liked the second one more, but both were good (the alien of episode 4 makes his comeback!). And over all this, we get an epic story of how our heroines came to be and why they're practically invincible., We went from "K" hiring hitmen to dispose of the two and failing, to the two demolishing Takeshobo, and finally the showdown with King Records/Akashic Records, complete with time travel and a season 2 announcement of Hosiiro Girldrop (which I assume is fake). I don't think I could have asked for a grander finale than this. |

| Very fun anime. Wondering if that last part was a season 2 announcement or if they are just trolling us all. Overall, this series was one giant "Fuck you" to the standards of the anime industry, filled with creative, weird or just batshit crazy skits, some funnier than others, that I'll admit. 8/10. Waiting for an official S2 announcement! |

| What a rollercoaster of a show. This last episode they really went all out. They even fused Popuko and Pipimi together to actually fight the producer company of the show. This show was incredibly creative. They threw every conventional thing out the window and did whatever they wanted, and that really shone through. I wish more anime would get as creative as this one. As for the jokes, I found most of them funny. Some did fall flat though, I feel like that's partially due to some being more skewed to the Japanese audience. Bob Epic Team was pretty flat at first, but the more I saw from them the more I loved them. It continually got better and better. It was also a clever way of giving a different twist on jokes we've seen before. Overall Pop Team Epic shattered my expectations, because I really had no idea what we were going to get. It's unique, different, experimental, creative, and it's clear the creators had a blast making it. The memes from it will last a lifetime. I hope it's made a genuine impact on the anime producing community too. 10/10 |
| Its weird that throughout this series I had repeatedly told myself that this anime is kinda sh** yet now I've watched all twelve episodes and I've rated it a 8, probably because of this finale. I gotta say, it was a lot more fluid in terms of animation... And I have a lot more to say but I'm half asleep; and when I've woken I'd probably have forgotten what's to be said It referenced its previous episodes, nice. 😂😂 Haha, they low-key implied a second season. Are they trolling😟 [cue skeptical-looking daydream] -"waaait. hold up, couldn't be an anime for hoshiiro girldrop." [being skeptical] "Naah, It can't be.. can it?" Ehh, well. Let's wait and see! |

| They should make Hoshiiro Girl Drop an actual show, and I'm sure I'm definitely not the first one to say that. That shit with Shouta Aoi was weird as fuck. I dont know which hurt me more, the time travel scene, or the awkward dance which Japanese girls probably got moist over. I didnt see anywhere from an official source that this show is getting a second season, but there is a MAL page for it. Was it actually announced, or did people take the "Hoshiiro Girl Drop season 2" announcement as an implied PTE second season? Overall I honestly didnt enjoy the show that much. I did get some laughs out of it, but overall it was more cringeworthy and head scratching moments than anything. Like, out of all the skits per episode, maybe laughed at 1-2 each time? Most of it just happened to not be my kind of humor. Not sure whether I'll watch the second season if it's actually happening. I know it'll just be another average experience for me, but I also prefer to complete series if they get sequels. |

Can't say I understood all the references and that I recognized the VAs for the whole season but it was still a fun ride. I also would like to know who this Aoi Shouta is, can anyone help me to know? | I'm conflicted on this anime. On the one hand, I really appreciate the freedom of the randomness for the show to do whatever. There has been interesting experimental stuff that has been really entertaining. On the other hand, this anime rarely makes me laugh. Seriously, though I've wanted to, it just has never actually been super funny. Plus the show is so random that there is nothing consistent to get attached to. So basically, I am not excited or hoping for a second season, but I would probably watch it if it happened. I'm going to have to go with 6/10 for this anime. | Really liked this episode especially cause of Joji Nakata~But that "Made in Heaven" and that time stop, was that suppose to be a JoJo reference? Lol But overall, I personally think that anime was pretty okay, had me laughing at times but also sometimes bored. 6/10 |

| Pop Team Epic Overall Impressions: Pop Team Epic, was a pretty strange experience. I expected the anime to be extremely strange, but the way the show frequently breaks the anime medium altogether made it a very interesting ride. I thought the jokes were a hit/miss, more or less. The Bobbenemi segments are definitely the funniest parts with how badly animated and amazing the voice actors are. But the rest are eh. Thinking about my neutral impressions more specifically, I realized something. Pop Team Epic is basically an experimental anime. It is a hugely collective showcase of what Japanese producers are capable in playing with different formats and mediums, much like how experimental Western media is with cartoon animation. As crazy as it sounds, I see Pop Team Epic as something of a savior for Japan’s anime industry. I can see this anime continuing for years to come as a way for several kinds of staff members to get the chance to improve in many different skills, not needing to worry so much about overall quality, more so focusing on being playful and fun. If there is a second season, I will definitely give that a watch. Although, I will not watch it for the comedy, I more so want to see how various people all over the world can tackle PTE segments, experimenting with different mediums and comedy. We had content from a French CG animator and a talented Japanese person that created one bizarrely cool animated segment named Hellshake Yano, how about people from other regions tackle Pop Team Epic for fun? |
