| Huh the results are acually alright with me for the most part MiA winning AOTY is pretty cool and well deserved, Houseki no Kuni winning best CGI is cool too but it should probably have won best animation too... Kinda wanted Tsuki ga Kirei to win best slice of life but I can't complain, have not seen the other shows in this category. I'm also fine with Your Name as best Movie, but I would have accepted A Silent Voice too. Not too sure about Stain as best villain, but the nominations for this were all kinda meh imo. But yeah the whole Best Boy/Girl thingy is kinda bs, did not really care for these categorys... like at least name them Best Female/Male character... and don't put two characters from the same show in them And yeah Hero Academia won a lot but at least 3 of those awards are meaningless bs anyway (best boy/girl/hero) and it did not win AOTY on top of it so I'm fine with that. oh and one more thing ... I wish there would have been more nominations for Owari S2. |

| Overall, I found the award show enjoyable for what it was. Yes, there were some cringy moments and MHA being nominated for so many awards and winning 7 of them is a bit of a joke, but there were positives as well. Being that it's only the second year doing this, the overall production (though rough around the edges) was pretty good. I'm excited to see how they improve on this year. Including the nomination process. As far as winners go, MHA did deserve some of its winnings. Tough category, but animation in MHA was stellar, and it's hard not to give best hero to it. Others, I absolutely love The Ancient Magus' Bride, but best Drama? That's questionable. Best film, I would have given to A Silent Voice, not saying I didn't like Your Name, but I'd give A Silent Voice a slight edge. Best girl should be left for a discussion in a different thread. And with how much hype is has, I'm glad MiA won in the end. |

Also, Attack On Titan didn't win a single award.... like, What in The Actual F*ck? | I got nothing against Bnha winning so many awards. It deserves them imo. The only category that disappointed me was Drama. "Ancient Magus's Bride" is ok, a bit too boring in my opinion, but it doesn't even compare with "Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu" S2. |

| Kemono Friends was far and away anime of the year. MHA desereved a large number of its awards, however best boy was not one of them. I mean Jesus, even Deku is a thousand times better than edgelord scarface. Konosuba losing to dyke dragons is laughable. Despite these awards usually turning out to be a joke, I really do appreciate Crunchyroll for doing this. It's a celebration of anime, a medium we love so much. |

| Hard to decide between Koe no Katachi and In this Corner of the World. I love both of them. In this Corner of the World really hit me hard when that scene with the heavily injured mother and her child were shown after the Hiroshima bombing... I don't think I'll ever forget that scene for the rest of my life. Koe no Katachi was really good at presenting ideas of bullying and redemption... And while I'd be having a hard time deciding between these 2, they choose Your Name... It's good, but these 2 are much better. |
