Welp, so much for a good night sleep. Trouble comes in the middle of the night as Redcurrant asks for help. Poor Joel.

I really like how this episode capitalizes on how otherwordly characters can feel human emotions. Not to mention, the episode felt emotional as Chise strives to help make things right and help Joel.

The moment when Joel sees Redcurrant also felt really emotional.

Decent episode and a satisfying conclusion to this bittersweet story, if only a tad bit underdeveloped.

The opening 5 minutes feel out of place and should have been the ending of the previous episode, BUT, this show just loves those big "fuck you" cliffhangers. Seriously, why you gotta do this to me show???

Great episode as always/

Chise running through the forest as a fox looked stunning, I'm glad she chose to come back home with Elias though. :)

A really bittersweet if not tragic conclusion to the tale of the man and the vampire woman. At least Joel got to see her again and say what he wanted to say. :)

That ending, looks Chise overdid it with the Fairy Ointment. :(

Knew/remembered how the first part ended so wasn't suprprised, sometimes i think that it's better not to know the original =/
The end of Joel' story, was a bit confused cause thought it was right after his appearance, well that was quite sad.

Chise running through the forest as a fox was beautiful. It was nice to see her trying her best to help Joel so he can see Redcurrant one last time. Their moment together was very emotional. That cliffhanger though. I think Chise is being punished for making that fairy ointment.

Pretty good episode. We have Chise come back to Elias's side after being turned into a fox and then the Leanan Sidhe asks for her help. Felt bad for her seeing as Joel had short time left but at least they were able to see each other one last time. Also felt bad for Chise getting hurt towards the end. It really shows how dangerous it her for her kind to make items given the amount of magic they consume and exert, even if it's just doing something like holding a jar.

Looking forward to the next episode.

Nice episode.

I enjoy seeing Chise learn & improve her magic. It was nice of her to create an ointment to allow Joel to see the Leánnan sídhe.

Quite emotional seeing him disappear. That ending though.

Pretty deep. If one surmises there is poetry even in old age, it follows that from time to time the muse has to become infatuated with the elderly, savouring the evanescent and slow affection of the ancient.

A powerful episode once it got into the Redcurrant story, also the ending, I hope Chise didn't take things too far...

Welp, sadly it didn't have much of an impact compared to the manga. They really should have done this with 2 episodes imo.

I really don't get the director, the previous 2 episodes (before this) were too drawn out and this one just rushed things.

The pacing from 1-11 was pretty good but it's all over the place now.

Oh well, next ep will treat us to something happy at least.

I didn't really get the point of the first few minutes. I thought the whole Chise-Fox thing would last the entire episode but in the end it was Chise "realizing" again that she wanted to stay with Elias. However I found the visuals to be great.

As an aside note, I don't know why but I found "peculiar" that talk between a fox, a "dog" and... whatever Elias pretended to be...

Now, the story between the Leanan Sidhe and Joel was tragic and touching at the same time and I'm glad there wasn't any chibi moment during the "goodbye" scene. I'm not really into mythology stuff so I don't really know if by deciding to stay at Joel's house, she would eventually "die"... I mean, unless she finds someone else to feed herself but I don't think that would be an option...

Overall, It was a good episode and now, I'm looking forward to the next one. To be honest, I would like to see some more of Silkye's character. I found her kind of intriguing for some reason...

I confess I expected a little more, but it was satisfactory. The reunion between Joel and Redcurrent was vibrant. I felt the emotion of the vampire girl. It was beautiful. (Sorry for my English, I'm still a beginner)

R.I.P. Joel :'(

At least he could see and talk with the Leanan Sidhe for the last time, thanks to Chise's help. By the way, poor girl, nobody gives her a rest! Now, she surpassed her limits and is spitting out blood everywhere xD

Glad to see last weeks cliffhanger was merely a minor test by the hooded hermit, which Chise passed with flying colours. Seeing her and Elias hugging in the moonlight was great.

That said, Leanan Sidhe's (non-existent) love story with Joel was probably one of the most beautiful I've seen. The fact that he would knowingly and willingly give up the remaining seconds of his life force to sustain her in the end made it all the more sad.

Oberon playing off the taboo like a little game really got to me. She looked like she was spewing blood in the end there...

Chise not sleeping for like five days is basically me...minus the fairy ointment.

And I really, really miss the first OP. It was so powerful, the art was awesome and it had that sort of Celtic vibe going for it whereas the new one feels pretty generic. Not to mention the recycled footage from the first half of the series. It's a pet hate of mine! It's that not bad though.
I definitely like the ED theme more than the first one.

Such a great episode. I got teary when Joel died. It's so sad they couldn't be together, even though he'd suspected she'd been by his side all along. Every couple that's been in this anime so far has been doomed! I hope this isn't a red herring for Chise and Elias.

Hope Chise is alright because that ending wasn't too pretty. She broke the rules and is now paying for it.

And she can also now turn into a damn fox?!? XD

Well last episode's cliffhanger didn't really lead to anything big in this episode like I was expecting, but that scene was kind of nice anyway so I suppose it's fine.

RIP Joel, his story with the vampire girl has now come to a sad conclusion.

Oh shit, Chise is coughing up blood. Looks like she's facing the repercussions of her actions.

So much for that stupid cliffhanger. A couple of minutes of running around, and we're back to another melodramatic tearjerker. Complete waste of screentime all-around.

I've gotten very tired of this show's constant failure to live up to its potential.

This episode was...weird. Things just started happening. The beginning was a big "uhh...ok?" moment. And as much as I wanted to feel for Joel and Leanan Sidhe, it didn't really get to me...

Chise does some forbidden magic, and now she's coughing up blood. And Elias gave her the ok to do it, why? Experimental purposes I assume. Alright Fairy King, what will you do now...

Same setup as the cat/black goo arc.

Chise finds unhappy couple
Chise does something OP
Chise makes couple happy
Chise gets sick
Elias takes care of Chise.

I’d wish they’d move on with her character and not repeat the same plot devices over and over again.

I’ll give it a few more episodes.

A good episode for sure but I agree with others the part with fox Chise should of been the end of the last episode. It just seemed rushed into the beginning of this and the later half with the vampire and Joel was rushed because of it.

So last week's cliffhanger was quite literally pointless in every way imaginable, while the rest of the episode was pretty good, even if it did repeat the show's formula again (and the problem with that is that I'm not really concerned at all, as we know she'll end up surviving like nothing ever happened (remember when she got stabbed in the chest, for instance?)).

Oh man yeah I really agree with you there! I haven’t seen anyone talk about the pacing though but I’ve felt such a difference recently. The fox Chise plot seemed so much more interesting to me than the rest of this episode which I just didn’t feel that much for. At least I’m excited for the next one.

Still, Chise committing taboo and dying for an old dude to see some tiddies is a bit much haha
