I have not watched any yet (except Black Clover, this awful anime ...), what are your recommendations?

For me it has to be Kino no Tabi; i think it still maintains the spirit of the original

From non-sequels i'd pick Inuyashiki, i like this kind of dark seinens

But you should just sort the season by rating or popularity and see what sounds more appealing to you

Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou. Relaxing, inspiring, heartwarming, funny. Everything you should be wishing for.
(I like Mahoutsukai no Yome too. If I were to recommend it, it'd be for its rich fantastical universe, above anything. It frequently varies its focus, going from romance to adventure though, so I don't know. It's kind of hard to keep up with the author's intentions.)

I don't know about the best, but my favorite so far is inuyashiki. It gave me death note vibes, which i haven't felt in a long time.

Net-juu no Susume - what Gamers! of the previous season could have been, this one actually lives up to its premise.
Houseki no Kuni - thought provoking, very sad and lighthearted, the animation also managed to do something impressive given it's 3dcg.

They are recommended, they start simple but grow with each new episode. Together with Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou, they are the most surprising shows of this season. Not qualitatively the very best, but if you have any base expectations, they surpass them.

Girls Last Tour by a country mile, most relaxing show in history imo

Why don’t we become monsters and really mess up this awful world? Just destroy until there’s no more evil, no more sadness, no more anything…
Wouldn’t that be great?

I've seen Net-Juu, and it was cute, I hope there's a sequel for that anime, I would love to see the other romance other than the cute couple especially Kanbe's romance.

Rumor says Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou - Girls' Last Tour - The End Girl Trip is the best anime this season, even the reviews are consistent to their 9 or 10 scores.

Mahoutsukai no Yome in English Dubbed is perfect, the story was set in England so I'm just enjoying the story than trying to catch up with the seasonal watchers, it's loyal to the manga and there's a lot of beautiful moments in that anime. I've just read some parts of the manga and I'm glad that I didn't fully read it before it was animated, now I'm clueless about the story.

Hmmm, for sequels:
Kekkai Sensen Beyond
Shokugeki no souma s3
Garo Vanishing Line (Technically not a sequel but there have been more series with the Garo name attached to it)

For orginal :
Mahoutsukai no Yome
Children of the Whales
Inuyashiki
Ballroom e Youkoso (Second cour ends this season)

It's defenitely Mahoutsukai no Yome for me.
Shokugeki s3 is pretty good as well.
Lets just not talk about black clover.
Juunji taisen is my guilty pleasure of this season

Think I'd have to give it to Gintama this season for once. Partially because it's actually a comedy season this time (big plus) and partially because I don't have anything else I'd really consider worth labeling as AotS this time

Houseki no Kuni or Girls' Last Tour. Houseki is so underrated, which is a shame because its animation and story are both brilliant, especially considering the fact they're using cgi

Houseki no Kuni blows everything this season out of the water for me.

Was expecting Ancient Magus Bride to go on a lead but ended up disappointed.

Houseki no Kuni has potential for one of my favorite of the year.

I also loved Net-juu no Susume, and there are other series like Blend S, Inuyashiki, and the sequels of Shokugeki, Umaru and Yuuki Yuuna that I'm having a great time with as well.

Yuki Yuna is a Hero: A Sunny Place

That's right. A RECAP episode. That thing hit me like a load of feel-bricks. Way better than the series was and absolutely perfect for what it needed to be (between prequel and sequel).

Other than that, Yuuki Yuuna in general (best pre/sequel) this season and Girl's Last Tour (best new).

IMHO Houseki no Kuni / Lands of the Lustrous is the AotS. It has a slow start but getting better and better with each episode.

There is some movie-level cinematography in it. Such as this clip:

Konohana Kitan was probably my favourite <3

I really enjoyed Inuyashiki as well.

My absolute favorite of this season has been Altair: A Record of Battles. Such a shame no one's really talking about it. I find the whole thing just fascinating: the wordbuilding, the culture (even a made up language!), the political climate, the motivations of the characters, the art style, the colors, the intense atmosphere...I almost went by this one, but boy do I love it and it sucks that it's ending tonight!

I'd say either Magus' Bride or Shoujo Shuumatsu
One is a fantastic trip in a marvelous magic world, finally bringing back the magic that was lost
The other one is a splendid and heartwarming Slice of Life about two girls in a post-apocaliptic world, such a delightful surprise
May our sweet and Merciful Madoka be with you
