You're supposed to "deal" with an anime addiction? I feel so free.

During the week reward yourself with 1 episode /night.
Schedule relax times: maybe in the AM you study n shit, but leave the late afternoon open for a couple hours.
You will need will power and you may need to put some titles on the PTW list, especially with a 50+ series season coming up.
From experience- never watch shows while studying.
Never watch episodes in between studies.
Even after your scheduled break, recap on what you've studied before bed.

If you are working 60+ hours a week, studying and doing exams, may I also recommend speed? Just do hard drugs to keep you going. Sleep is for the dead.

Look every week at the amount of Hours you can miss at school and freedays at work.
After all this you don't do what you promised to yourself and skip more hours and take more free days.

I'm not really addicted to anime. I just love watching it. It is much more entertaining than any TV series or a movie. What happens if you don't watch a movie for a month? Nothing special really. What happens if you don't watch an episode of anime for a month? Also, nothing. But I watch anime almost every day because it is just much more entertaining and more interesting than other things. But if I had to pause for a week, ok no problem, I'll easily get through it.

Well I simply don't watch anime when that happens since I can't enjoy them anyway when I'm so occupied with tasks. I need to have a peace of mind to watch anime.

Watch boku no pico, Mars of destruction, shelter, and other masterpieces and ill be sure you will either stop watching anime for a while or just watch 100 more so that you can forget their existence (and fail miserably). I stopped for 6 months after that traumatic experience.

That's why I'm asking MAL instead of complaining about it.

Seriously, it's me during my high school days tbh. Getting scolded by the teachers and pranked by classmates because I often dozing off and sleeping during the class lmao

Yeah, being on MAL basically means you're in a hopeless state of existence.

Highschool was so much more free for me than college. I could skip so much class, my teachers would be (mostly) chill with it, and my HS would let me off with makeup courses (which were far less in hours than god knows how much class I skipped) because they really really didn't want to hold me back for attendance reasons. Only bad experiences I had was when I'd fall asleep during exams. Found out I had EBV too late =X
Anyhow, I highly encourage skipping class n' stuff in highschool; it's your best chance to do so before stuck up professors start making your attendance directly affect your grades.

By listening in class you don't have to study at home. Simple enough tbh.

About the addiction part i don't find myself spending much time on anime recently since i can't really find anything that sparks up my interest.

Simple.

You watch them over the weekend.

That's what I did in high school. Or you can wait until the end of the school year. In other words, you might have to take a break.

Of course, it is easy for me to go for a week without anime.

I have quite a lot of free time timetable-wise, a day off in the middle of every week (for work) and the weekend off as well.
Generally, I'll squeeze a few episodes in when I have a break from studying in the week and then I'll use Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday primarily as anime time. So it's like a 60:40 split between school, work, living and socialising vs. anime.

I prefer being a NEET of course, but I do notice now that I have to work 40 hours a week, I feel like I enjoy my anime more now because my time with it is limited. When I'm at work, I'm looking forward to later that day when I can finally come home and watch anime in peace.

I wouldn't say I am addicted to anime, but I just have such a huge appreciation for the medium and I want to keep watching the best stuff I can find. I would call it an obsession before an addiction.

I think my hobbies help me save money anyway. Instead of going out and wasting money, I am content having anime/manga to enjoy when I come home.

In India, Medical Entrance exam is known as NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) ;D

Well anyways, I watch anime whenever I have time and place for it [I mostly do find time for it]
If I didn't have time I would postpone watching it later sometime

I haven't been watching anime in a month or so because so much happened. I barely had time to be at home.

Since anime episodes are short, I tend to be able to squeeze an episode even in my busiest times.
