Preview for the next episode:

This just made me realize, the production of episode 6 seemed to have made the mistake of putting the last two lines of the preview for 7 what should have been lines for the preview of 8.

I was wondering how much they'd cover with this week's episode, thankfully they didn't rush to reach those parts.

Soundtrack was on point this episode.

Yeah, it was really good but a bit too overcrowded sometimes. Some tracks overcrowd or accelerate the pace of the action too much, or the transitions from one track to the other were too quick. My favorite moments were the one with Serpico trying to dodge the Kelpie's water bullets (that track there expressed well the adversity of the situation) and the one when Shierke delves deeper into the astral world and finds the astral shrine of the Lady of the Depths (really epic moment). I also really liked the use of "Ash Crow" when Guts listens Serpico's will to protect Farnese and immediately turns back to rescue them at the end.

The thing I thought most lacking in terms of coverage of content was that Shierke's explanation of magic and the astral world up there in the rooftop as the episode began was so much more thorough in the manga. They really shortened her teachings there.

The animation is slightly improving every week, I'm impressed.

Is everytime that Guts comes to the action and plays Hai Yo in the background a meme already?

I knew that Serpico wasn't ordinary but he is something else with magic. He looks so cool.

The water spirit looked beautiful.

Nerf magic plx

Imo, music was a bit forced on this episode. For some reason, every time Serpico said something the music changed.

Shierke's magic powers is pretty damn strong!
Ogre isn't even a match to Guts!
Serpico also joined the fight and was able to barely handle the Kelpie! even he is a bit of beaten-up at least Shierke did the most of the job on this village.
Isidro feels like he's not useful at all. But at least he had a gift from Morgan, a dagger!
I doubt Serpico would just stay there, i hope he could catch-up with Guts and Co.
5/5.

Enjoyed the last three episodes so much I didn't bother commenting on the previous two. When they at least do competent (wasn't great, but hey I'll take what I can get) action without going overboard on playing with the camera and you can just enjoy the story and the voice actors giving good performances, the show's not bad.

Guts slicing that Ogre saying "YOU'RE A BITCH!"

Wait...Guts actually complimented someone? Wow...

Yeah I noticed the CGI quality dipping a little. Then again, animating water is pretty difficult, so I'll give it a pass here.

Wow that magic is op af! Guts was kicking ass as usual and Serpico was going off too! Really a great episode overall and I can't wait to see Guts rage to go get Casca back

Hmm shierke really makes this less hack and slash like. Wonder how guts would handle that ogre if shierke was not there if it heals.

The Kelpie and the Ogre put up a really good fight but Serpico and Guts handled the situation really well thanks to Schierke summoning that water spirit that resulted in the monsters leaving a gigantic opening.

Despite Farny and Casca getting kidnapped after accidentally stumbling into the raging waters, Guts really appreciated Schierke's immense help in dealing with the troll problem and protecting them all up to this point. It's the start of a gigantic crush ♡ Isidro finally acquired a weapon that's suitable for his skills too.

It was so sweet to see Guts finally regard his new friends as actual comrades and the scene reminded me of how much I cried when I read this scene in the manga. I love how they returned the handdrawn postcard memories from the 90's anime.

Good episode once again, for the most part. We got some great action this time. If only the CGI was better though.

We've heard it a couple of times before, but nevertheless I wanna mention just how fucking great the OST at the beginning was. The two new seasons don't have OSTs that can stand on equal footing as the older version, but they are really good regardless.

Good stuff, but like, why is there so much hazards in this village: trolls, a kelpie AND an ogre? I guess Griff's existence is altering the global flow of the spirit world? Idk.

Not sure how to describe it, but it's like the animation is improving episode by episode. If I didn't know better I'd say they're literally trying something completely new and learning as they go.

I thought this as well. Really doing a great job!
