not a sequel, not a spin off, not a continuation. what's the best new series according to you, to come out this season?

*EDIT* By no sequel/spinoffs, all i'm saying is try to avoid the obvious series like MHA, Snk, DBS, boruto etc.
if the series is relatively unheard of, then I guess sequels will do.

SukaSuka.... So far I'm totally diggin it's storyline..

Wahh.. .Spoiler already at the beginning...

Gonna hold my heart as long as it don't crumbled to pieces </3 T_T

Also... the OST is just too Beautifull... Very Mesmerizing..

I hope they adapted the whole volume of this one

Well there goes nearly everything.
But Tsuki ga Kirei still remains and that has been pretty good thus far. The most recent episode had some top tier middle school butt too.

Too soon to pick just 1, but so far I think Granblue Fantasy, Seikaisuru Kado, ID-0, and Alice to Zouroku have shown a promising story.
Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho looks like it could be good too, now that the introductions are out of the way.
Quan Zhi Gao Shou started off looking like it was going to be a twist on SAO, but I'll wait another couple episodes to see what they do with it.

Atom The Beginning looks like a good series. Also Sakura Quest and SukaSuka. For sequel, Uchouten Kazoku is the one I look forward to every week.

The "best" new series would be Alice to Zouroku, unless they fail.
But personally, I feel I will enjoy Eromanga-sensei or Shuumatsu the most.

Why rule out the sequels. From what I've seen so far, the non-sequels are trashing the sequels.

It's still early, but SukaSuka & Sakura Quest appear to be the cream of this season's crop.

I think SukaSuka can be a feel train based on the premise that's why it's my main contender atm.

Second would be tied between Grimoire of Zero and Eromanga-sensei.

Eromanga-sensei, hands down. Incest is wincest and this time we have a really cute imouto. What else could we possibly ask for?

Also Rokudenashi is great, it has one of the best MCs in a while.
Busou Shoujo is good too, for the same reason.

Really OP, using both Romanized acronyms and English ones. Pls just stick to one for your post. SnK -> AoT or MHA -> BnHA.

Is How to Raise a Flat Girlfriend unknown enough to qualify? Best show among my options if it does. Otherwise best is Alice and Zorouku, or Love Tyrant.

I only tried 2 chinese cartoons but looking at this thread I will probably give Re:Creators and SukaSuka also a try, keeping expectations low tho.
AoT has been a slight disappointment after the 1st ep and MHA finally got a good episode after the two first.

The stuff i'm watching that aren't sequels are:

The Royal Tutor
The Laughing Salesman
Anonymous Noise
Atom: The Beginning

So far i'm enjoying The Royal Tutor the most. The characters have more to them than just the archetypes and it's just a lot of fun so far.

It's a sequel which disqualifies it.

On topic, I'd say SukaSuka, Seikaisuru Kado, Re:Creators and Rokudenashi are all pretty close so far.

I will be genuinely surprised if anything other than Eromanga-sensei ends up as my favorite from this season. I felt like that prior to this season starting because the source is written by the same guy who did OreImo, which is my one of my favorites. And based on everything I've seen from this season so far, it seems difficult to imagine Eromanga not being #1 as well, not to put the rest of the seasonals down. It went in as a clear cut favorite and initial impressions give it a strong lead. If all goes well it's potential 10/10 material.

Although they should've gone full incest and none of that step sibling crap

incest is only incest when it's real blood siblings goddammit

Huh...? People think its Eromanga apparently. Did not see that one coming.

I feel that if you take out the sequels, you take out Spring 2017's ability to go toe-to-toe with the two previous seasons. Unless some show rises to the occasion. I'm on a wait-and-see attitude.

Renai Boukun cos a yandere in a harem is just beautiful. But with so many good decent looking animes with llolis that actually get a good amount of screentime this season its a tough pick.

for me it's SukaSuka. the "soothing" feeling when you watch it and the "welcome to the feels trip" atmosphere is always i'm looking for. (like Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash if anyone here watch it with the "soothing" feeling + dat feels). and also the best OST so far inmy opinion. just hoping there's no sudden die hard fanboy/girl

The King's Avatar is surprisingly good eventhough it's fully(?) from China(no any disrespect intention). from the v.a, animation etc. but i'm not really familiar with the language so it's a little bit hard to accustomed with it.

Ero-manga sensei looks promising before it's airing but when the first few episode it's feels similiar to Oreimo with some modification here and there (in my opinion). but at least the little sister character wasn't annoying as Kirino (no offense to any Kirino fans in this thread/forum)

the rest looks promising at first before it's airing but when the first few episode came out it's just "okay/fun to watch" but not a "must watch" in my opinion so far (perhaps because i'm expecting something more)
