| I wanted to watched a regular happy to go love anime, so since I haven't seen "School Days" yet, I decided to give it a try. After the first 2 ep, "School Days" wasn't what I thought it would originally be, so I checked some reviews on it. Judging from the reviews, "School Days" is a really ugly, disgusting and heartbreaking anime. Because I didn't want to feel like I was going to throw up, I stopped watching after ep 2. This show seems so unbelievably emotionally ugly that I really don't know if I should continue watching it or not. But seeing bad things can really give you a different out look on life, or as the reviews put it, a "different perspective". This probably isn't a problem for most people, but I am a very emotional person, once I see something emotional, it sticks with me for a while. I do want to continue watching it, but at the same time I dont. What do you guys think about this situation? (AlSO PLEASE NO SPOILERS IN CASE I WANT TO CONTINUE WATCHING IT) |

| If you're having issues with it after only 2 episodes than drop it. Reasons to keep watching: 1. If you've never seen a yandere character; 2. Fist pump ending; 3. You'll understand what "Nice boat!" means (it comes up regularly in the forums). Nothing worse than not knowing the meaning behind a joke. |

| It'll leave you traumatized abit after you finished, but overall it isn't that bad for me. Depends on how long you'll get over it though |

| No, you shouldn't continue. It's one of the worst anime out there, everything in there is subpar. It is notorious as an entry anime for it's shock value but that's it. Your time is better spent watching something good. |

| I think it teaches a good lesson (to not act like scum) and I personally found it very... entertaining. But if it's already emotionally disturbing to you by episode 2, I wouldn't finish it. On another note... I couldn't help noticing that you're planning on watching Higurashi. That's definitely more ugly and disturbing than school days. |

That's precisely the "concept" of the show (humane nature is it?) and that's why it's not as bad as some say but it is also the reason why they say it's bad. I think it's a good and quite unique reference, with its flaws though, but really, the reasons you went for this show right now are the wrong ones, so I would recommend to drop it. |

| Play the original source instead, the Visual Novel. ... You know how Visual Novels work? With different heroines, routes and endings? ... Well, obviously, the anime mixed it into a harem/filler route and one of the Bad Endings so. Unfortunately the anime gives a bad impression of the source. It traumatized myself when I watched it, haha. ... That ending fuck... |
| Keep watching. School Days is one of the few anime of its kind, so it'll be a unique experience compared to most other anime you will see. If you're looking for a "Unique" anime, this is one of them. |

Well I end up finishing the anime, and I must say, I am glad that I didn't drop the anime. It was a one of a kind experience. In the beginning I was cheering on the MC, that was until he started to show his true colors. Then it went to the point of hating the MC so much I wished that he would die. I always tend to to see the best in people, I have seen characters that I have found "annoying" or "disliked" but this was a first. At first I felt sympathy towards Sekia all the way till the last few ep, in which were she showed her true colors. I honestly was thinking that this was the most depressing, disgusting anime that I had ever seen, but the ending I applauded so hard. The only character I ended up liking in the whole anime was Kotonoha. All of the rest of the characters I deeply despised. This is definitely one I would consider " One of the best Anime endings". |
