An explosion near a wedding in the southern Turkish city of Gaziantep has killed at least 22 people and injured 94 more, the region's governor says.

The Turkish government has called it a "terror attack" and suggested it was carried out by a suicide bomber.

Turkey has been hit by a series of bombs both by IS and Kurdish militants in the past year, with the last IS attack on Istanbul airport in June, killing more than 40 people.

The jihadists have recently lost ground in northern Syria, including a former stronghold, Manbij. Syrian rebel soldiers are preparing to advance further into the IS-held province of Jarablus.

R.I.P to these poor people.
I like the fact some actually find this an occasion to make jokes, of course this isn't "the west" to care.

They think it will be always strangers who will die to a terrorist attack...

Anyways, Turkey recently launched an offensive in Syria to directly engage the bastards in combat in retaliation to this attack and shellings, this time with land units involved. Time to send those who turned a wedding to a funeral to hell.

They always wind up making puns about this stuff.

Not sure what the point of doing it at a wedding is. It's not a terror attack if it has no clear message.

Just goes to show the idea that they're striking out purely out of hate for the west isn't true. West enabled them but they clearly hate everyone including their own people.

you'd think after the recent failure of the coup that ISIS would actually easy off Turkey area for a while.

Crowded place maybe? The message is that if Turkey continues to fight ISIL with the coalition this will be what we get in return. Of course there's no backing down until they're extirpated, Operation Euphrates Shield is a good start for that matter.

It must be out of question that it is a terror attack if it is a terrorist group massacring bunch of innocent civilians.

Unless you forgot about it Turkey also was involved in funding them too though. Unless that was later proven nnot true or something.

I just assumed that was the reason for the coup attempt in the first place. From what I understand whenever the government leaned too far one way the military would step in an stop it.

All of Turkey's actions so far proves otherwise of this claim. There were a lot of occasions ISIL targeted Turkey and Turkey's leaders, they always used hostile approach when referring to them in their released videos and magazines, Turkey is one of the top countries that has been subject to ISIL's attacks outside Iraq and Syria and ISIL had 3000+ of their members killed by Turkey since 2013. Why the hell would Turkey fund such a group or vice versa? Turkey so far only supported FSA and Syrian Turkmen Brigades but nowadays is not that hostile to Assad compared to past either.

You dodged the question by asking me another, but fine. As all of these sources concerned, despite using biased approach, state that the accusation remain as claim and alleged, and therefore unproven. The operation was indeed rigorous because the city was haven for the PKK militants until the end of operation. That's sincerely why there was a curfew, despite all the crying over it, it was to prevent civilian casaulties. Fun fact is I also realized you just posted first results from a Google search so you probably didn't even read whatever is written in these links. It amazes me how distorted the word "genocide" became these days.
