Hey so whats the story behind your MAL username and your profile pic and forum set? Oh you are INTJ? I like that. I think I am one aswell sometimes because my S and N are always close when I take the test. I'm currently watching th second season of Monogatari btw. I like the art and animation style.

Read this
Pretty awesome stuff.

I was after a leg day and pushed two machines to max capacity.
Do you keep any workout routine?

KonoDioDakeda Sep 7, 5:53 PM
Hoho merci!

C'est dans les projets, dans ce style j'ai déjà cosplay Jolyne par contre ;)

Instructing yourself?
You mean distracting?

Phew, I’m barely climbing the stairs back home as I write.

Nurse? You’re staying at the hospital?

I fear boredom more than anything and often did quite stupid things in order to avoid being bored.
Don’t you hate being bored?

How bad was it? Usually it’s very avoidable without surgical interference.

Well Asimov is sci-if par-excellence. Be prepared.

Yeah you should. A good pepper spray is better than most tools you can get your hands on. I mean I’d rather be repeatedly tazed than get even a moderately modest amount of pepper in my eyes and airway. Get capsaicin ones not some weak algogen; if only algogens are available check what component(s) and take the strongest.
Do not get mint spray -.- in some places, in Europe, they trick you to believe it’s a viable replacement for pepper. No. You’d rather just use a hair spray vs attackers. A good one from Syoss or w/e would be much more effective than mint spray.

Well that depends on how much time and effort I will have on my hands to invest in the development of the game ofc.
I develop alone. Tried, albeit not very hard, to compose a team and those who can do something don’t want to while those who do can’t really help... I end up, designing, modeling, rigging, skinning, weighting, texturing, animating, baking, implementing, coding, testing, debugging. I do the sound design, map design, environmental design and everything else.
It’ll be great if I’ll manage to make 3 viable ones but getting one to work would already be quite the feat.
Note that I’m not some experienced pro. Everything I do I learn on the spot as I go so it’s slower and harder than it would be for someone with experience in at least 2 of these fields under his belt.
I also live alone and clean, cook and shop and maintain the place.
And a Med student on top.
Ideally there would be as many endings as there are choices but it won’t happen.
I will get a worthy demo up and running and then via patreon money hire a few guys to help me.
I won’t even keep any of the money to myself, just redistribute across manpower to afford more and get the game going.
Due to the design choices I’ve made, and will continue making, (ones that are very popular among niche communities) I’m certain it will get enough traction.

Asimov's works? Yes, they're good.
Tho in sci-fi fantasy there's no second to the Strugatsky Brothers.

Is it legal there to carry self-defense items like pepper spray?
Don't get tasers unless they’re police tier. Most tasers on the market make scary noises but hardly do anything vs determined people.
I've tested many tasers, even ones sold in gun shops, and most are crap.

Yeah I make things very aesthetic :>
Yeah like in fable.
Perhaps even more because in fable it only influences the escalation while the events stay roughly the same.
I'll make things change drastically and very soon after a choice.

Mal, for some reason overtakes the link and rehosts it, making it smaller.
Idk why...

If you like that universe then the Chambers' 4 books on topic are superb.
They're very out of Chambers' character. He usually has that smoky romantic style but they all feel like he was writing them in some sort of psychosis.

I've read a few books by I. Asimov (namely: The gods themselves, Nemesis and Azazel) but not the Foundation series. They seemed too big an investment at the time.

You do realize that what you need is not martial arts per-se but something more like Krav Maga (the dirty version) where you're taught how to use tools and your environment to your favor.
Your punch may be weak but a brick to the face is not fun even if you're a tiny weak lady. You'd be surprised to learn that there are 'proper' ways to use a brick.

Edit: Forgot about the game.
It's still in development (ofc) so it's not fully shaped yet.
It's a FPS/TPS with some rpg elements. Cute girls in a not-so-cute world doing whatever they can to survive and dominate. Sex, violence and character-driven story with choices that matter.
Rn it looks more like a mess in 3D workspace and whatever is in the engine is not even dreaming of being debugged yet ;>

Amsterdam? Sounds comfy.
Good luck with that.

I never got too attached to Howard Phillips. I’ve read Chambers’ the Repairer of reputations, the mask, the court of the dragon and the yellow sign. The 4 books about the King in Yellow that opened the flood gates of this genre. Imo HPL is the weakest of the writers for this universe and Khtulhu is the worst of the creatures in it.
But then again I only read a few books, in total, at random. It just feels like he’s not as vague and subtle as Chambers nor as concrete as the other 2 big writers later (forgot the names).
Iirc Nyars is not the only one interested in humans? King spreads a sign, khtulhu uses telepathy and others also communicate and influence people.

If you love over-the-top fantasy there’s an absolute gem that I love dearly. A trilogy called “the millennial contest”. Three big books by R. Zhelazny. “Bring me the head of Prince Charming”, “if at Faust you don’t succeed” and “a farce to reckoned with”.
It’s very hit or miss but if it hits it blows your head clean off.

Boxing always felt limited to me since legs are op.
I did many. MMA, combat sambo, Dennis survival, Krav Maga, and some symbolic amount of Mui Thai.
Before, during and straight after the mil it was a big part of what I did.
Later on as my usual group, and myself, got busier and some moved to other places, it gradually became slower till a year and a half later it came to a halt.
Now I’m back at it since my new gym has a ring, boxing sacks and human dolls you can beat up. I’ve also found people who can fight and want to practice so we’re at it.

I’m surprised you’ve boxed. Aren’t you a tiny frenchie?
How often do tiny frenchies box? O.o

Lux_Lucis Sep 2, 12:14 PM
No it’s not about dealing with bs.
Never played that game.
It’s more about... Properly allocating energy.
If someone is not worth the effort I will not bother.

Yeah this would work too.
Online/evening/ open program.

I love books too and read over 400 of them but it was mostly during my mid teens and early 20s.
Now I try to avoid books because they’re a pleasant waste of time. Even informative ones. If you can’t use that info it’s going to wither anyway.
I read mostly stuff I need (which is quite the amount) and sin a bit with stuff like Thais of Athens that I am reading these days.
What’s your favorite book/ author?

I also like everything that’s extreme and love martial arts.
I’m also a one man studio developing my own game rn.
Lux_Lucis Sep 2, 11:29 AM
Well, I have the patience of a hand grenade. It’s. All nice and dandy until it isn’t.
I used to have the patience of an angel, and it’s still true to some degree, but it became more and more selective as I grew older somehow. Usually it’s the other way around.

Aren’t there evening classes? Some universities / classes offer these for people who are older and have jobs/ families.

What other other things interest you?
Lux_Lucis Sep 1, 10:48 PM
Honestly teaching beyond me.
I’m great at teaching tho who learn fast but as soon as the student doesn’t get something simple more than once I start losing patience faster I’d want to admit.
So respect for even being able to teach.

Yeah troubles often come in couple or even clusters.

You should compare yourself with your past self not with others around you.
The former will boost you higher while the latter will probably just hold you down.
This academic year’s just starting. You may still make it :>

Lux_Lucis Aug 31, 10:14 PM
> My last experience as a teacher has been psychologically painful to me
What happened there?

It's great to see you're not giving up on that.
Most people once they're past 18 think they're too old to get a new degree.
