This duel was painful to watch ;_;

I've been cheering for Yuya but the way Edo has been fighting him made him really hard to see the road to victory. Really nice to see Smile World being played. What impresses me about this entertainment duel is that it reminds how much fun the duelists can have, something Edo probably hasn't experienced yet. His new Pendulum fused dragon is pretty awesome as well. Nice episode, hope Edo learned something from his defeat.

The animation was absolutely amazing this episode. Glad to see that the budget finally returned. The duel was also pretty good, especially the last turn. Also, MEGA SMILE BURSTO is the best attack name ever.

Wow, Yuya finally having a Pendulum Monster whose Level is higher than 7 (ignoring Nirvana Paladin), and kudos for making his Scale 10 as well. I so love that Laughmaker card.

The Yusho/Edo flashback was really cool too, except that we, yet again, haven't seen Sky Magician's stats...

Edo finally learned his lesson. So that makes a total of 2 rivals that had a change of heart in this arc.

Noroma finally reveals his plan to overthrow Edo... which was totally unexpected (sarcasm).

Next episode we have Edo and Yuya fighting the random goons that ambushed them, and we have Kaito and the Lancers probably storming Academia's Heartland base. So if they destroy the base, then the Xyz arc is at its end and we go to the Fusion Dimension for Yuya's reunion with Yusho and Yuzu.

I so had a vision of them being in a pinch and then out of nowhere Reiji, Jack, Crow, Sora and the rest of the Lancers appear on D-Wheels and raid the base. If that doesn't happen in this arc, I'm hoping it will happen when they finally go to Academia. The Professor won't know what hit him.

I've never been so happy watching Yuya's Entertainment Duel since his match against Jack! I hope Edo will join Yuya and go together to Fusion Dimension!

it just my prediction but meybe somehow characters from outher dimensions will help them with the dark yua spirit threat after they will defeat academia

looks like next episode edo will be defecting from academia. yuya is always keep on brainwashing people to egao egao nonsense. at least Yumas kattingbo is better than yuyas egao. other protoganist do not brainwash people unless they like them.this yuya is always brainwashing every single person to egao egao egao even if they come from warzone. yuya this is a warzone right now and u should understand how people in xyz feel.how can you force yuto and shun to egao when their home got destroyed and they lost their family if his father or close friend got carded he will probably feel the same way as xyz people

in next episode looks like yuya and co will be going to fusion.is kaito going with them or is he staying in xyz bidding farwell for yuya and co once they leave for fusion. i would be happier if kaito goes with them to fusion. what about our birdman isn't he going to fusion with them after being injured from that debris and right now he is receiving medical treatment in the base are the writers going to leave him behind. it is important for shun to got to fusion and be their for the final battle with academia since his sister got captured and it is important for him to go and rescue her shame that we wont be seeing shun and ruri reunion if he doent go to fusion i have been waiting to see shun and ruri reunion since the start of the series since that will be the first time shun will start to become emotional and he will start to show more genuine emotions once he and ruri are finally reunited.

i really hope dennis succeed in capturing yuzu because we can get yuya and yugo interaction.i have a feeling that once yuya and co go to fusion they will be heading to youshow before going to academia.once they arrive they will be mistaken as academia student and asuka will rescue them like how she did it to yuzu. if yuzu is still in youshow when yuya and co arrive then yuya and yugo wont have chance to meet each other properly and yuzus bracelt will send yugo to ynchro

Good episode.
I'm glad Yuya's entertainment dueling is working compared to the time he spent at the beginning of the synchro arc. It's a very nice development for him.

Looks like Dennis is returning in the next episode. Can't wait.

Also is it just me or does Arc-V Kaito smile much more than his Zexal version? Like in the preview, he's smiling so much I can't believe it's actually him. :D

I'm hyping the re-appearance Dennis so much... not to mention I hope the actual Yuri vs Yugo duel will come soon.

Yuto sure was contradicting himself lately. First, he told Yuya to bring smile with Duel in his Duel against Yugo, and then the next thing he had a second thought and believe they should defeat Academia first to fulfil their ideal during their first Duel against Edo, then during the Duel against Obelisk Force Yuto said he now believe that Yuya can speak through Duel even if the opponent is Obelisk Force, but now he said again that speaking with Academia is pointless because it's impossible to speak with a bunch of ruthless people. But reading the next episode spoiler, I think this would be over and Yuto will trust Yuya completely.

The Duel between Yuri and Yugo better be happened like the OP suggests, because if it's not, I will be highly disappointed. Just like how I got disappointed that Yuya vs. Yugo didn't happened before (TT_TT)
Speaking about this, Kensho Ono once said he wishes to see Yuya vs. Yuri Duel since he's voicing both characters. If the director really considering to fulfil this wish, the possibility that Yuri will lose against Yugo is unlikely. But Yugo being carded is out of question since he plays important role as Yuya's Synchro counterpart. So maybe the scenarios I could think of is: Yuri won but Yugo able to escape thanks to someone's help (Like Serena did with Shun) or the Duel got interrupted right before it's finished.

From the way Edo defending Yuya, I guess him using Dystopiaguy to let Yuya escape or both escaping together are possible. I actually just thinking maybe after dropping Shun back at their hideout, Kaito will come back and help Yuya and Edo escape.

I really like how Yusho was actually fighting not only to defeat Academia, but to forgive them and show them the true ways of dueling. He doesn't see Academia as antagonists, but rather people that followed the wrong path. Shame we didn't get Sky Magician's abilities yet again. Seeing it go toe-to-toe with DystopiaGuy was awesome.

The Yuya-Edo duel had really high quality animation this episode. Really like the new Performapal Laughmaker card as well. It comboes VERY nicely with Smile World!

Seeing the Tyler sister's reactions to the duel was enjoyable as well. One tries to stay as serious as possible, whereas the other is the exact opposite. Makes great juxtaposition. Sadly, I think their loyalty will stay with Academia for awhile.

Overall, that was a superb duel. Can't wait to see what they do from here now that one of the top commanders of Academia is defeated.

Season 2 Edo was pretty badass, but after that he was treated as a joke sadly, with having only 1 duel each in season 3 and 4 and jobbing hard in both of them (in Edo's defense, the GX staff treated everyone not named Judai as a joke). Still, all returning characters in Arc-V so far has been treated the same way they were treated in their respective series. Jack is an arrogant and cocky bastard, Crow hijacks the show because "BUYBLACKWINGS", Kaito is on a revenge quest while sealing people's souls, Asuka is irrelevant, and Edo is a joke. I really see no difference between their Arc-V versions and original versions.

Yea the only bad thing in gx is that they waste all the good supporting character and use only judai..
But still i don't know why... some reason my favorite yugioh series...

Atleast in gx he have a good reason why he help to the evil force...

I thought Yuya pride was going to be his undoing, but he won his way.

Well the Moe haired guy has sent more soldier, this is never going to end, no rest of anyone.

Next episode, looks like Edo is going to be on our side, weather he likes it or not, I think the Moe haired guy he is going to paint him as a traitor.

So yes Edo turns good before Yuri.

The moment Edo defending Yuya, he becomes a traitor. If you read the recent episode spoiler, I'm positive the outcome would be that after escaping from the soldiers, Edo will be the one who escort Yuya and the others to Academia base in Xyz Dimension and they go to Fusion Dimension together using the transport device there.

The recent Animedia poster implies that Yuri will turn good and maybe getting along well with his counterparts, but he turn good most likely will be near the end of the series, or maybe like Vector from Zexal... I really hope he will be a good guy in the end and getting along with his counterparts like in the manga.

In the other series before this, the writers could already do asspulls through drawing new cards, but even that was so much work forthem.

So the writers basically wrote in action duels just so they could do asspulls without planning it at all.

Maybe giving Odd-Eyes and Daggerman to Edo is only a part of Yuya's Entertainment Duel and attempt to open Edo's heart? Giving his monsters to Edo is not part of his strategy to win the Duel, but to make Edo enjoy their Duel or such?

True, now that I think about it, there's a flashback of him when he was a child, so he must be a resident of Standard and it's unlikely he's from Academia. He is from standard but his school seems to be allied with academia.just watch 112 todays episode. edo and the tyler sisters are in xyz and they are helping the resistance shun is in the fusion base recovering. and looks like edo is looking after him i hope once shun recovers he should go to fusion with edo to save ruri.i also hope the writers give xyz a little screentime like what edo,tylers and shun are doing in the base while Yuya and co are in fusion. when yuya was in xyz the writers gave fusion some screentime and we get to see what yuzu was doing with asuka.i dont think the writers would ditch edo since this is the last arc and i have a feeling he will be their to assist yuya and co for the final battle. jack and crow got more screen time in synchro arc so now this is combined xyz/fusion arc hope writers will give edo/asuka and kaito some good screentime as well.

It was an awesome duel though and the animation was glorious.

I love the contrast between Grace and Gloria's faces during the duel.

LMAO at Dag Daggerman interacting with Dystopia-guy.

Focking Action cards. That was Yuya's L. Yet another past character losing to this guy because BS. smh

Ruined Edo's birthday duel.

Edo destroying his own field spell to stop Yuya from getting action card is honestly the smartest use of action duel rule in this show. Ironically enough, it's a move that prevented the use of action card lol.

I was expecting Yuya to hilariously fall to the ground so Edo would burst into a laugh... idk it seemed appropriate for him to laugh his ass off at that time, he was so obsessed with proving himself right that it started giving me cringe.

I loved when the onee-chans got close to each other after the duel had ended OwO
