If you want more Travis Willingham, I highly recommend watching the English dub of Mushishi! It's an amazing show and he does an amazing job as playing the main character, a Mushi master.

Just read your Reddit comment, loved it. You summed up my thoughts of the show perfectly.

Recommendations if you want more like Gurren Lagann:


1. To the Top! Gunbuster-the Gainax mecha show with a lot of heart that started it all! Only six episodes.


2. FLCL- ton of wacky fun and well done metaphors with an amazing OST, hit and miss for many people, but my personal favorite anime of all time. Many of the same staff worked on Gurren Lagann. Yet again only six episodes!


3. To the Top! Diebuster- the sequel to Gunbuster almost twenty years after Gunbuster was made. This show has so many similarities to Gurren Lagann in characters, animation, and hype that it's insane. Gurren Lagann would not exist without this show! Also only six episodes.


4. Kill la Kill- the spiritual successor to Gurren Lagann, made by the same director! (but of course you've already started watching it).


Let me know what you think of these if you ever get to them, they're great! Also if you want to do a sort of anime "contract", I will watch any 2 cour show of your choice if you watch FLCL, Gunbuster, and Diebuster!

OMG you don't know how happy it makes me to see that you finished and loved Gurren Lagann, OMG! My top five don't really reflect this but after Evangelion it is my favorite TV show that is a non movie/OVA.

That's pretty good as reputations go. I only get noticed for being an Erina lover and a big fan of Hyouka :P

I hope you find it in your heart to give it a try. I too, was overwhelmed by the amount if episodes, but trust me, it was totally worth it.
