| It was a good episode.. though as I said before things don't look as well made as before. I guess the level couldn't keep on so high for 37 episodes. Either way, Mello's alive (no surprises there). I think having the president of the States "supporting" Kira was a bit unrealistic... but oh well... 7 episodes to go and Near got to the conclusion that L is Kira.. I wonder how things will move from now on, since Near no longer has support. |

| ugh, Near figuring out that second L = Light brings back memories of how L figured out second Kira = not first Kira. No way that could have happened. also, these mind games are getting repetitive and formulaic. in order to attack, the characters ask their opponents for their opinions directly to figure things out. that's what Near did with the fake rule and that's what Light did with the decision to not allow verification. arite well, next episode looks to be interesting at least. |

| Near and Mello are such great characters. It's a shame they get overshadowed by Light and L. This was a great episode, and it finally feels like it's coming to a close. |

| yeah the USA president speaks japanese,classic xD ohwell...i think that Near will win,he's already figured out that L is kira,and Light's colleagues are suspecting him too,he's in a pinch :) so either he will do some other crazy ass plan that hopefully will work,or he'll get the chair in less than 7 episodes :( |

Episodes are indeed starting to get better again, but I still think Death Note is not as good as it used to be... |

| i love this series so much, but... is it just me or this series has become boring and cheesy?? L IS COOL!! KIRA.. I HATE HIM BUT HE IS COOL... NEAR AND MEIRO = WEABOO!!!! and after L died, i can't find anyone else to root for, maybe the only one i care about is the afro police who isn't afro anymore, forgot his name |
| I really like Mello in the Anime. Not so much in the Manga. But the show just isn't as good as it started out to be sadly...probably going to lose one overall point when it comes down to the final rating in my book haha. |

| I'm hoping Near is gone soon. Like someone mentioned, there's no real reason why he should think Light is Kira. Light made it look like Kira was collaborating with the team as a whole because they had common interests (not wanting anyone else to have the notebook). That doesn't mean Kira is one of them or that Light in particular would be him. So they're using the same stupid plot device as with L, somebody just knowing the truth without any evidence. And now it's supposed to be certain because Light sounded arrogant on the phone. The same goes for the team. Light has covered his tracks pretty well, not perfectly, but well enough. And why did the team believe Kira is among them? Because Near deduced the presence of Death God is proof. But what does it prove? Just what they already know, that they have Kira's original notebook. There's no particular reason to doubt the 13 day rule either. And to top it off, they're trying to make Near seem like a genius by having him proclaim that there's a 7% chance second L is Kira. How did he come up with that number? Well, 100-93=7, and 93% of people are eager to believe made-up statistics. |
