Yeah, that's what all the cool kids say B) "Tja" could also be used in "tja, vad annars?", as in "well, what else". Otherwise, I can't see any other use of it.

In Swedish we say "Tjenare manner" and "Nämen hej"

In French we say "Salut mec" and "Bouge ton cul connard"

Those are the most polite ways of greeting each other by the way

Csókolom - formal, kids say this to adults and teachers, and also males to females out of courtesy, it literally means "I kiss you" because men always kissed women's hand as a greeting back in the day
There's something similar in Romanian with sărut mâna /sə.ru't 'mɨ.nə/ which means "(I) kiss the hand", however, it's only used as a formal Greeting towards elder Women.

Great List and kudos for knowing the full Versions of the formal ones. You've only forgot a few ones like formal: "Grüß Gott!" in the South German Language Area and informal: Servus, "Yo", "Hey"
and of Course, the informal "Ey Alter" that Nigami_Shin has mentioned, however that one is very Low-Class Speech.

I haven't heard about "tja" as a Greeting, either. I only know of "tja" as an Interjection, but pronounced like "tya" or longer [tja/tjaː].

My parents taught me that in my langauge, hello is usually pronounced, "sup bitch". Though whenever I say this to people it's highly frowned upon and I'll never understand why :(

Lebanese modern Arabic:
Marhaba (hello)
Ahla (less formal hello)
Sabah el kheir (good morning)
Sabah el nour (response to good morning)
Masa el kheir(good evening)
That's about it I guess, although my native language is Arabic, I learned English before Arabic simply because I watched a lot of television

"Ciao" (Hello)
"Buongiorno" (Good morning)
"Buonasera" (Good evening)
would be the most common. At least where I live, we use "salve" a lot, both in formal and informal situations. "Arrivederci" for goodbyes, or also "ciao ciao" with friends and family.

Formal:
Góðan dag(in) = Good day
Góðan morgun = good morning
Gott kvøld = good evening

Informal:
Nú, hvussu gongur? = translates into ' now, how goes it?'
Hvat rokast hann/hon við? = what are you up to?
Hvat gert tú fyri tíðina? = what have you been up to recently.

There are probably a few more formal and informal that I can't think of right now.
