a man needs around 10,500kJ (2,500Kcal) a day to maintain his weight. For a woman, that figure is around 8,400kJ (2,000Kcal) a day.

I consume around 800cal per day and yes I know its not enough and yes it has some effects on my weight and health but its just the way I am I can't eat anymore or I feel sick.

The effects I experience of my diet I have presumed have something to do with it are:

Nausea
Been all skin and bones count the ribs sexy i know right.
permanent ice cold hands and feet (everyone says I have the touch of death lol)
Migraines and headaches
Cold sweats and pains
low energy can't sleep/sleep too much
Light headedness and dizzy spells

and so on. So how many calories do you consume and how is your body and health effected as a result.

I probably eat less than I should which is why I'm really slim. I can take about one meal and be happy for the day and sleep hungry. Humans can live 3-4 weeks without food anyway so I don't feel concerned.

I don't suffer the same symptoms you do OP but I feel physically weak sometimes? x D I guess it could be a lack of proper excercise too and I feel really light headed when I get out of bed.

Well my stuff is tied to other things but some of them are defiantly either solo caused by lack of diet or coupled to make worse.

Longest I went was 2 and a half weeks. For someone whose gotten used to living with those issues I can run pretty normally without any food at all, helps to train your body that way.

Anywhere between 300 and 3,000, maybe more. I can eat a lot, but I eat slowly and it only happens in bursts. If I stuff myself to the point where I feel bloated and in a food coma and all that, 1 hour later I will feel hunger come back to me and I have to eat something again. I can eat 5 meals in a day and still need to eat.

If I don't eat breakfast, my body can only go 3 hours without food, but I just need to eat 100 calories to keep my body from imploding. In my case I need a constant stream of food in order to keep myself active. Speaking of which, I'm hungry again.
Just need to find out how to quote this every time so I can dodge the stupid 30-character limit.

I don't know actually. Probably too little. I feel hungry but have zero appetite. I've lost some weight recently, so now I'm down on 60 kg, and I'm 182 cm tall. Usually I'm around 62 - 64 kg.
My metabolism is literally eating me up and it's always been that way. If I don't eat during a day, I will start losing weight after 2 - 4 hours, and after 24 hours I've lost 1 kg.

My goal is to weigh 70 kg. I think that is realistic. The closest I've been that goal was in spring 2014 when I weighed 68 kg. Then depression became too strong again. Depression can really fuck you up.

this is true, I can never eat when I'm having a bad depressive episode. Just feel no inclination to.

I don't keep track, but whatever it is, it's probably less than the recommended figure. I only eat a lot on special occasions, like Christmas a day ago.

Not enough, evidently. But that is technically out of my control at this stage.

I'm going to guess and say about 600-1200 calories.

Worst is, speaking for myself, that you do feel hungry but you really don't feel for eating anything. A very contradicting feeling. Some people are the other way around when they're depressed - they eat even though they're not hungry.

I don't count. It doesn't seem psychologically healthy and a working body ain't no use when your brain wants to die.

I just work out and eat. That's enough for health.

Plenty of people do. Maybe not exact values, but enough to know how much they're stuffing into their mouths.

For my height and intended weight goal, I'm not eating enough. Skipping breakfast is usually the missing factor in my days.

Anywhere from 1000-4000. I probably average around 2000, but if I'm bulking then it can get up to 4k. Sometimes I eat one or two meals a day when I'm stressed out, and it can drop to ~1000.

Before I started having health problems two years ago, it was pretty steady at about 1200-1500 per day with occasional splurges. Was quite content with that. Since I've been sick, it varies widely. It could be anywhere from 0 to 1500, though it's usually less than 1000. It sucks. I hate not being able to eat because I feel too sick so often.

0-2000 average around 500 last couple of weeks. Needed to gain weight because of crohns but there's not really any point in trying to maintain this weight (70 kg) I'll prolly end up going down to 40 again next year. Hungry but no appetite, eating is such a nuisance.

That's what's bothering me too, I can't quote someone I agree with.

OT: I have high metabolism which is so annoying, but it's kind of helpful to clean the intestines and stuff.
About how much calories I consume, I really don't know. I don't count them I guess.

If I was any thinner I wouldn't exist.

I don't really count how much I eat. Sometimes it's a lot and full of junk, sometimes I can't eat a normal sized meal and feel comfortable, it's quite weird.

I've always been underweight around the 8 stone mark. But I've also been really strong and have quite a lot of muscle for my weight. I can lift pretty much anything, the obvious problem is when you need to put weight into something. But hey ho, I'm putting food in so I'm doing my bit.
