Why are so many chars these days drawn with moles?
I mean for every argument there's some one sayin it costs too much, wouldnt not giving chars moles cost less.
and they dont look good on any 1 and are ever necessary.

A facial mole isn't called a beauty mark for no reason. Some people just consider it to be an attractive feature (especially around the eyes or lips). Besides it makes the character feel a bit more unique compared to the other characters in the show.

Also isn't there some old wives tale that if you've a mole under your eye you'll have a life full with sorrow or something?

I don't mind them. In some characters (Tiky Mikk from D. Gray Man, Lancer from Fate/Zero), look good indeed.

The under the eye mole is so generic these days.

It is shown on the anime a few times cuz her mother had a similar one too.

Moles give characters variety and add to their cuteness.
I imagine Kaori would have a more plain look without it.

I never used to think that I liked moles (I don't really have an opinion on them on people IRL at least) but then I realized a couple of my favorite characters have moles, like Masato from UtaPri or Yukio from Ao no Exorcist. I guess they can add a kind of asymmetry to a face but in a good way?
