Even though its sweet of Hiluluk to take Chopper in, it wasn't very nice that he shoved him out again, just because he's close to dying. :/

For me the best background of one piece, and the most emotional story I have ever seen in anime, I was in tears almost the entire 85/86 episode.

Chopper and the doctor's story is so sad, but it's so uplifting to see Luffy loving Chopper.

I sort of see why he kicked Chopper out, but he could have done it in a better way I suppose. Though I don't know how.

Anyway, a very good episode. The "kicking out" scene was a little over dramatized, but I'm used to that aspect of One Piece by this time.

What do you guys mean? That was the perfect way to do it. Hiluluk had to make Chopper resent him so that he wouldn't feel as bad when he died. If you look at it in the long run, this was the best way to handle the situation. Still, this back story is very sad.

He doesn't want chopper to know that he is dying because he want chopper to continue believe that every illness can be cured.

How? Either A) Chopper wouldn't find out he died and return back to the thinking that everyone hates him and he's a perpetual outcast or B) when he finds out he died, he'd clearly put two and two together (as you'd have to be a moron not to at that point), so he's still as sad as he would've been regardless but now he had to go through additional suffering prior thinking his only friend in the world hated him.

Every-time I seee someone pull this crap in anything that character just goes down several points in my book. All they're doing is putting them through [more] unnecessary suffering, especially in this case.

As for the episode, not a bad one outside of my previous bitch. Nothing's topping Nami's backstory though. As a side note that doesn't reflect this episode per say, anyone remember when ED songs lasted more than ten episodes?

Definitely the best episode since the Mihawk vs Zoro episode. and that was about 60 episodes ago.

Seemed like a pretty harsh way for the doctor to kick out Pantherlilly like that. He actually shot him and he almost died when he got hit by the bullet. He found out the doctor was dying anyway.

Yeah, the whole seeing her parent gunned down in front of her + having to work as part of the crew of the pirate who did it is just.....god damn. On top of other things of course.

This was one of the saddest episodes yet, if not the saddest episode yet. Chopper is adorable and has the cutest voice I've ever heard in my life, so maybe I'm biased and someone like Nami does have a sadder backstory. But my God, I was giggling or sobbing like a baby all episode, no in between.

I love the idea of Hiriluk being a rogue illegal doctor who forces himself on the sick and runs from the guards. In fact, I love the idea of underground doctors so maybe I should watch black jack. In this scenario with Wapol's rule it's especially interesting though. What a great man too. The way he stripped to show Chopper he meant no harm, and wanted to show him that nothing was impossible, not to mention the fact that he showed him love for the first time ever, accepting him and giving him a hat and a name. I adore the line "So what you speak?! I speak too and much better than you". The characters on this island are all great and Hiriluk is bringing this that much closer to being my 2nd favorite arc.

I don't think forcing him out is a bad thing. Maybe there were better options, but if the ultimate goal was to force him out on his way to discover his own life and be his own person while getting the one last gift of seeing cherry blossoms and knowing nothing is impossible... then that's really not that bad! But the scene where he forced him to leave while holding back his tears, while both reminisced on the good times together absolutely crushed me! And I'm not even done the backstory yet... I'm so scared for the next episode.

WTF yo,I mean like is the only reason he says no is because he can't look after Chopper, you know what I mean I was kinda confuse but Chopper's like no what your problem but I know there is a reason behind it,because you wouldn't look after someone and say such a thing. when you see what he says "I only got a few days left" Imagine what Chopper must be feeling. Why you're not looking after me but now Chopper heard everything. And he was knocking the door like LET ME IN I'm your Friend!

Chopper Yo! That touches you man you know what I mean. His story is like you can compare it to Gaara man, you're like wtf am I talking about but you can compare it to Nagato. sad man.

You know what's the worst thing that can happen,is when everyone treats you bad and you find yourself that one person that treats you good and to you finding that one person is life itself cause you find one person in a BIllion basically that treats you well. Then that one person tell you to go that would Kill yo man,Kill you especially a Reindeer man.

Chopper had the best year of his life with Hiluluk but it was absolutely tragic that things ended the way it did. Even if he was going to die in less than two weeks, he's determined more than ever to leave his mark of redemption on the island he was born in and to save Chopper from experiencing the pain that will be brought forth from the forever loss of the only person who had showed him love in the cruel world he lived in.

Dr Hiriluk had good motives and ideologies but failed to execute them properly.

Man, that was some sad shit. Hiriluk was the thief from the story all along and he's gonna die soon.

Seeing Chopper purposefully injure himself just to stay with the doctor was painful.
