well, I've seen a trailer for this new series Owarimonogatari and it seems really interesting and mysterious which is pretty much my taste, and i'd like to ask before watching this series, I saw around the internet that it had previous seasons, my question is: is it necessary for me to watch all the previous seasons? or it just won't affect my understanding of this series? thanks.

Yes. How could you start to watch anything if you know nothing about the series to begin with?. The previous seasons introduces the characters and reveal their personalities. Is like if you watch Harry Potter starting for the Book 6.

No, you definitely can go in without having any knowledge about prior events or who the characters are...

Yes, you really should. It's great. It goes Bakemonogatari -> Nisemonogatari -> Nekomonogatari Kuro -> Second Season -> Hanamonogatari -> Tsukimonogatari -> Owarimonogatari. This is the broadcast order which I recommend. The order on MAL right now is the chronological order which I don't. You should enjoy it. I did.

If you are in a real hurry to watch Owari now, you can skip Hana.

I don't think Tsuki is really necessary either.

The order isn't entirely transparent. The recommended watching order (which is the airing order) differs from the chronological order, so this post might clear things up for you. It's a fantastic series, have fun!

It's not necessary for you to watch any Monogatari series.

By which I mean, you don't HAVE to watch them, but you can do so if you like.

Maybe you'll like it, but if you don't, join the club.

I'm only watching every Monogatari series to avoid people telling me that it gets better later on after the point where I would theoretically have stopped watching.

Also, because I made it this far, so I might as well finish watching the whole thing.

That's beyond retarded. You've wasted over 20 hours on a series that you don't like just so you wouldn't hear what some other people say.
You could have avoided it being told if you didn't bring up the series at all.

There's also at least 2-3 series with 3 movies left so that's going to be another 15 hours or so.

I never brought up the series in the first place prior to watching it.

I don't hate the show, I just think that it's executed in a boring way because all the characters do is talk in too loquacious a manner while barely anything happens until near the end of any story arc, and many arcs end anticlimactically. But the series does have good arcs occasionally, only tainted by the aforementioned excessive loquaciousness.

I did the same thing with FMA;B, unfortunately it wasn't get any better :( most overhyped series in the world (almost like Death Note and NGNL).

But monogatari is something different, it actually IS great from the beginning (second series is the best). So, you can just stop watching, and go for some shounen shit (based on your favlist) .

The amount of hyping and Monogatari-elitism of this post gives me cancer.

You really do need to watch the previous bunch of series before this one. There are two orders that you can watch, braodcasting order, or chronological order. But broadcasting order is recommended as some arcs of Owarimonogatari is the prequel to other Monogatari series while other arcs are sequel to some other Monogatari titles. Then you got other Monogatari titles that are prequels and sequels to each other, so it gets really complex if you decide to watch in chronological order (especially when watching Monogatari Series Second Season, there are 5 different Monogatari titles and each are not happening after one another).
This should help you out: https://www.reddit.com/r/araragi/comments/253p64/the_orders_to_monogatari_condensed_version/
Use this to be aware of the chronological order of events so you won't get confused.

To be fair, Naruto and TTGL are pretty much the anime equivalent of poopoo.
