Alright nerds, what do you guys think of Microsoft Edge?

Pretty solid but I'm still going to stick to Mozilla.

Anyways, it looks like it has too many of the 'professional' aspects Microsoft is always trying to promote, not really up my alley.

From what I've used of it so far it seems pretty solid but for me, like most others, really only use it to download either Firefox or Chrome.

It actually still came installed with w10, just stowed away in like the most obscure place ever.

As for edge, it's lacking the extensions I prefer to use.

Isnt Edge just IE with bloat removed from its code to make it run better?

I did my own tests and Edge seems about 10% faster than Maxthon, 25% faster than Opera, 40% faster than Chrome. I didn't even bother with the Firefox dinosaur.

SO I would probably, surprisingly, use it as a secondary browser whenever I need a clean cookie slate during browsing.

Still going to stick with Maxthon as main.

Hasnt anyone ever thought thaat Microsoft might be intentionally making it so their system intentionally slows down the functionality of other browsers? I think a compairison of how firefox and chrome and opera work on a mac or linux is needed to make sure windows is not throttling them just to make sure edge comes out on top.

With all the spying and shit W10 has, not to mention I seen many blogs and tech websites refer it as a service, I wouldn't rule out that possibility.

I might be imagining it, but I feel like my Firefox is a little more responsive than on W7.

Imo firefox is getting bloated. I don't get why they integeragated a messaging system and sponsored tiles(something like that).
Is this where you live?

I don't know what those things are. I must have disabled them. I stick with Firefox because it's functional and has a lot of customization.

It was actually worse before at one point my desktop had over 500 icons from all the stuff I was working on but I used to work on and develop ragnarok online servers and did a lot of things like that. I have a hard time keeping my desktop clean :P

Firefox isn't going anywhere from my desktop, but Edge does have an interface more suited to touch. It does, however, lack extensions at the time. When that problem is solved, I will probably use it on my tablet.
All aboard the delusion train.

I didnt even bother using it since i upgraded straight from Windows 8.1. As soon as it asked me if i wanted to use it as my default browser i declined it and selected Chrome as the default.

why not make a disc installation for fresh install, microsoft provides it here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 although this will require a product key or a hack/crack if you are a pirate like me
