Holy cow.
I mean, I used to read JR and read SiH but this is too much.

Asumiko's artstyle is fresh but unconventional. In the spam of 2-3 years you can see evident changes, completely different from Shungiku who took 10 years to learn how to draw a simple chin.

Doukyuusei series is a slice-of-life shounen-ai that features polished, sweet and memorable characters and their romance isn't filled with cliched situtations, misunderstandings and dubious consent. Anyone who actually have read all the 6 books in this series understand that.
tl;dr she can actually write unlike most BL mangakas.

Asumiko Nakamura's art style is one of the most original and beautiful out there. You can dislike it since everyone's taste is different, but if you state it is bad you must know nothing of art really.

Anyway, I look forward to the anime version of Doukyuusei. It looks like a nice adaptation so far.

Everyone, Art is nothing. The Story is everything, plus it's Shounen Ai not Yaoi. xD
No need for sexy art now. We should be Happy because this is our 3rd BL movie.

Well, unfortunately I absolutely don't care for this anime at all.

The story might be good (I read a few chapters of the manga). But the art is so off. I can't bring myself to like it.

Well, it's BL. I watch it anyways :D

But it reminds me too much of these 'This Boy caught/can/is afraid' OVAs. I'm not too fond of these.

I don't think it's so nice to compare about arts right? I mean, Shungiku sensei didn't take 10 years to draw a chin XD Plus Asumiko sensei art really is not nice, but I don't care about arts. I will watch it because I love Yaoi. Maybe I'm going to give it a good score as well.
Oh, Asumiko sensei took 2-3 years to draw? Her art is still same from 2012 till 2015 so i don't know what change your are talking about.

I’m not planning to watch this because I’m not into BL, but I find the art-style of this to be unique and refreshing; something I would love to see in more series, honestly. Calling the art-style of this bad is plain absurd, imo. Yes, maybe it is not of your liking, but bad? definitely not.

By the way, I love the guitar background song played during the PV; pretty nostalgic and soothing. OST? where are you?

I guess they're kinda similar since they're all in the Shounen-Ai zone as opposed to Love Stage/JR/SH's Yaoi feeling.
