| Last year it was the same and they added episodes half-way through when it was success. But this year.. I don't know. Still hope though as we will have to wait whole year for next season soon and they could get to chapter 70-80 at best (memory arc cliffhanger perhaps?). It seems first half of this series will be chitoge-centred and the second one haru-centred with ep or two dedicated to new characters (Paula and Fuu-chan). Not much screentime left for Marika, Tsugumi and Kosaki I fear :/ |
| Don't mind if it's shorter, I felt the last season dragged on a bit when they reached halfway and it seems this season is getting straight to the point. Things change though. |

| I can see why it's 12 episodes because most of the chapters in the manga are basically fillers so they are skipping the filler chapters so we can get faster to the plot parts of the story. |

| The thing with skipping filler chapters is that some characters will get very little screen time. It's double-edged sword actually. Nisekoi benefits from reader being attached to its characters and even unsubstantial chapter moves time a bit forward, creating bond with the cast, illusion of time flowing and making readers care. Put that away in anime, concentrate on main story only, and you'll get story with characters you don't care for. That's not to say they won't adapt it, of course, seeing that second part of the first episode was such a filler. But with small episode count, things get cut and hurried which is always bad thing. But I think some of those skipped chapters will be good material for OVA (great Onodera's middle-school chapter 98 for example though I would fit this one to main series for greater impact) so we may yet to see them eventually. Still hoping for Shaft adding some episodes like last year though. |

| Aw man, only 12 episodes... even a half season is usually 13 lol! Oh well they did give us lots of episode in season 1 and only a 1 year break. Better than waiting for a Light Novel adaptation that takes 1.5-2 years for a next season T_T. |
