I don't understand, why "Bros before hoes?" Shouldn't bros understand when you want to spend "quality" time with your hoe? I feel like this unwritten law sucks.

What you bruhs think?

Yeah bros understand, that's exactly why it says "bros before hoes". Tell a bro you wanna spend some sexy time with your girlfriend: "No problem, bro". Tell your girlfriend you wanna play poker with your bros: "So you let me home all alone?"

Of course this is not true for every girl out there, but I believe that's where it comes from.

It's just a way for the dude uttering the phrase (to the guy who might get laid) to not get jealous.

I find it very "meh". Find ya own B-raud man :/

Bros before hoes is important but it doesn't mean that you should run off whenever they call for you when you're with your girl. Tell them, they'll understand most of the time.

Bros before hoes pretty much means you aren't going to betray your friends or even stop talking to them just cause your bitch tells you to.

Spending time with your lady is a good thing, just don't forget you have other friends too.

^This, I remember a few times I went over to my bros and he'd have his hoe all up on him. Was like "Dafuq you call me over for bro."

It shouldn't be like that because when you break up with your 'hoe' you don't have anyone to go back to.

The phrase is just a misguided sexist sounding expressiom. What its trying to and fails to convey is that long lasting close bonded relationships are more important than people who come and go in your life. That you should not abandon friends for some petty relationship.

Sounds sexsist but the point it conveys is rather good and you've explained the true meaning of the phrase for those who didn't quite understand.

No the reason the phrase isn't gender neutral and has the male view in it is not because of sexism but because many women tend to get annoyed by men hanging out with their friends and start trying to prohibit them hanging out with them etc.

It's for dudes who make their life about their girl to the point they alienate their friends or get in arguments with them but when the girl finally dumps them all of a sudden want to get back with you like it's all good. That's why the term "bros before hoes" exist because your bros are generally much more trustworthy than your girl. Hoes come and leave, bros stick around so don't ditch them for a hoe.

I know, i actually got ditched by a bro online for a potential "ho" which turned him against me and in teh end that ho turned out to be a guy who was supposedly lonely and decided to ruin my friendship just for his own selfish crap and he got revealed when my friend wanted to meet or something since they lived close to each other

(and to continue from my story above) after that he came back and felt like he regretted ditching me but hes a jerk anyway and i hope he doesnt read this forum cus he has an account in here and he can stalk if he wants to but hes a rich and selfish jerk so whatever.

also the sad thing is that i would probably be one of those since bros suck and hoes rock, i would alienate my friends and jump down the rabbit hole probably but then if she ditches me she must be psychotic delusional bitch and id have too much pride and regret to go back to my bros so ill die alone in a forest with the bears and wild life around

That would only work if she was person who shared a great deal of my interests, Chances are I'll end up with someone who doesn't gamble, doesn't like anime and video games, or may not drink (this has actually happened to me, I dated a woman for 2 months but it didn't work out well because she didn't drink at all, and I like to drink quite a bit in the evening over dinner and on weekends).

Always true. I had plenty of times where I could have smashed a skank at a party but chose not to because my buddy was gunning for her.

Bros will be here for years to come but these hoes will come and go.
