Well, that was....eh, weird. Besides the animation style, the characters also looked wacky. At least they seem to enjoy fun like video games but I'm not sure I will. Neat premise though.

time, to bad they dropped it so fast.

That was... not what I was expecting...
Due to my age, I didn't got in touch that much with the retro generation, but still, I know one or two references that made me laugh.

The only thing I thought during this episode was how it would be if it was with Nintendo consoles. Famcom-tan, 64-tan, Cube-tan...

I feel very old after watching this since I was around for nearly all of the generation of Sega's prime and definitely played most if not all of the games represented (although I never played Virtua Fighter on the Saturn, just in the arcades and on the 32x).

That boombox shown is this, I never would expect that almost unheard of version of Mega Drive/MCD would ever be shown.

You will probably have to be a Sega fan to appreciate this show. Characters are cute IMO. I like Saturn Miku especially.

Well this was a surprise, I didn't even know this series existed until today. Well, as a Sega fan, I literally could not contain myself seeing all those references to Sega's games and hardware. I kind of can't wait to see more :D

The 3D CG animations seemed kinda cheap to me though, but I got over it

The characters and the VA would be the only reasons to keep up with this show. Plot concept is indeed whacky.

Pretty disappointed at the lack of Segata Sanshiro, when Mega Drive mentioned the school had a song I was hopiing to hear his theme, then when Sega Saturn herself mentioned she liked manly and older guys I was sure they would explicitly mention him, but nope.

Next ep looks fun, with Akira beating the crap out of the console-tans.

I like the way they adapt the consoles into characters, pretty funny.
Mega Drive + Saturn + Dreamcast = Too much nostalgia, still have Mega Drive and Dreamcast though the last time I played Mega Drive was a few years ago :x
Dat nostalgic Sega Mega Drive intro :')

The 3D animation looks great, the girls entering world of the Sega game, it seems interesting.

So funny! I guessed what the school's theme song would be, but I still cracked up when it came. I'm a sucker for comedies like this (read: not really witty, just over the top and fast) so the Sega theme is just a bonus.

I was really worried about the 3D graphics because I normally tend to not like them, but It really felt at home being able to understand almost everything this threw at me that I didn't have to worry about them.

Characters were really likable, so that's a huge plus, and I like their video game forms even more. I think I'll be able to finish this no problem.

I feel like a kid again <3

this anime is for Sega fans only. that being said, if you are a Sega fan, it's extremely funny. the style of the show is like a Dreamcast game. i guess i'm ok with that.

Based on the first episode I think it's worth it just for the references if you're a Sega fan (or former Sega fan in my case lol). Pretty good.

Well, that was about as strange as I expected it to be. ^_^;
As a former Sega fan that still happens to own a Genesis, Saturn and DreamCast, I guess I'll keep watching this for the time being.

I wish the girls would look like they belonged in the games that they went to, it would be cool to see them represented in each of the styles. But it seems pretty cute and I think my husband would enjoy the nostalgia trip as well.

WTF is this blatant ad for SEGA XD

Aaah that old SEGA theme.. it's as iconic as Playstation's opening theme. Oh don't forget that dial up tone XD

Also that Golden Axe. It used to be my favorite side scroll game along with Streets of Rage. I forgot that racing game's name though, I used to play every time I went to an arcade. Maaaan, so nostalgic.. I feel really old now.

Hope it does well to get a second season, as a SEGA fan this was a joy to watch.
Hopefully there's a Jet Set Radio, Nights and Sonic the hedgehog themed episodes.

I feel old - especially with that modem sound.

seems games are main thing here but there was enough to keep me entertained - especially whatever Dreamcast was saying.
it looked well, especially after "transformation"

was hoping for something as random and insane as gdgd Fairies (same director) but it's more normal stuff. will watch for now.

That was pretty good for the premise. If they tone down the boy talk, I think I'll enjoy the rest of this show.

So now I got a really dumb request. After watching this dumb thing, I now want a framed piece above my gaming TV saying "SERIOUS PLAY" in Japanese. Can anyone get a screenshot of the poster without the english subs covering the piece, or suggest a good way to get a poster similar to the one in the show?

I would be glad if this show is based on Nintendo or Play Station.

LOL at the pointy chara quality.

The comedy in this show is not funny but cheerful.

Magical girl transformation tho.

As an age 40+ viewer this was gold. Animation is pretty meh for this but it sort of goes with the animation style of retro games so forgivable. Now the references are what makes this awesome.

One episode in and I can already tell that this anime is beyond stupid. The only appealing thing about it, as I can see right now, is the jokes... that aren't even funny.

Despite the dreaded use of CG and lacklustre animation, I enjoyed all the dumb references. However, if I am to nitpick, the joke about how only the Dreamcast could connect to the internet didn't make any sense. I guess Sega forgot about the Meganet and Sega Net Link.
I'm pretty sure we can all agree that Dreamcast is best girl, though she can only be topped by CD and 32x-chan, who both huff paint and cry in the corner.
