No Game No Life (light novel)
| Without any spoilers please explain to me why NGLN (No Game No Life) became sooo popular? Score: 8.86 Ranked: #17 Is this series the new Fullmetal Alchemist hype? I really don't understand. I haven't seen an Anime shot up in the rankings like this before EVER! I have watched so many Anime and never come across this. Any reasons for this hyperino? FYI - I have watched episode 1-3 and I don't see anything 'good' *so far* but w/e :) |

| Because Jibril Anyway, it had a lot of hype surrounding it (I was waiting about a year for it because it was announced quite a long time from it's air date, then it got postponed) and it pretty much lived up to the hype. |

| Probably because the characters are so epic that it makes the scenes so intense. The story is unique imo. and they provide fan service. |

| Because it has all the factors that draw in masses of anime fans: - "smart" protagonist, who is also unbeatable and "badass" and overly confident and "cool" and over-the-top. Oh, and don't forget that he's a NEET hikikomori, so otaku can relate to him and be 'inspired' by him - relentless twists and turns - boobs/fanservice - reminiscent of MMORPGs (which, as luck would have it, is the latest trend) games - loud sound effects that said, it is a well-directed show (except for the sentimental parts), and it is very light viewing, easy to watch. |

| Ctrl-F: "pandering" - 0 results. Good start. It's one of those fun and zany shows that any newcomer can ease into. As a series(anime only, let's obviously leave out the LN), it appeals to most otaku behaviors and crack jokes that make you laugh because it's anime. MAL rankings usually have no bearings to the show's actual greatness. A lot of people are blindly tossing in 10's because "it was an enjoyable ride!", while a few others give more reasonable scores and saying the faults to it. No show's ever going to be perfect, as everyone's method of scoring is different. |

| That`s what happened if LN Reader Fanboys and Hardcore Otaku plebs combined their power. Tet is the best character of the show. Stephanie and Jibril were great though. But Sora`s VA doesn`t fit him very well, it would be better if Sugita would voice him. The last episode after the credits was bullsh*t. |
