Those last couple of episodes were all killer, and this one is no exception.

However I nearly couldn't handle seeing those eyeballs in Yukine's back. That's a kind of horror, that really gets to me.

So I'm re-watching this anime and damn I forgot how emotional this episode was. Yuki Kaji did an amazing job as Yukine here, Studio bones did such a fantastic job of adapting this moment from the manga. Really powerful episode, hits me with all the feels.
Help the industry and buy Blu-rays and DVD's.
Noragami is the best anime ever.

I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P

I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;)

I know this is old but this episode was freaking intense. And I actually cried watching this. Watching Yukine apologize repeatedly while crying is too much for me geez. And that group hug at the ending just freaking adds up da feels.

Dangit I fudging love this episode

Yuki has finally apologized to Yato, hopefully, they will start to get attached to one another as master and divine instrument! If Hiyori was not there, either one or both of their life will not be saved.

I can feel the feels...

“You’re my friend?” ~ Yuki

Aw, damn. My heart really broke for Yuki in this episode. :( I admit it doesn’t mean I wasn’t annoyed with him in the previous episodes, but I guess I also have to take into account that he’s just a kid who unfortunately died young and never had experienced a life like that, thus leading him to be bitter. :/ but i’m glad he FINALLY realized his mistakes, even if it led to Yato almost “dying” for him to realize it. <3

Well, that was certainly a unique way to end a shounen arc. Yato is a pretty cool guy.

this was such a good episode, i kinda wish yukine repents more and realizes more of what damage hes actually done instead of kind of waking up after realizing he had a friend lol, needed like 10 more "i'm sorry"s from him lmao. I know hes young but like I feel like many animes act like kids are super dumb when theyre really not and yato literally could've said something instead of it manifesting like this

absolutely zero sympathy for the brat
he should have died 1000 deaths and then sent to hell forever
i hate angsty self important people who think only they have problems and don't even realize that everyone is bending over backwards for them
this entire arc is one of my least favorites in all of anime. I'll probably still watch season 2 just because i like where the show WAS going, but this entire season is poisoned because if this arc. could have been wrapped up in 2 episodes, and with better writing.

It must definitely happen something between Yato and Hiyori!! Sooner or later they should start dating or something. They both are so made for it's other. And Yato!! Omg can't he see that Hiyori has feelings for him??? All the way from the start she was saving his ass. She definitely got feelings

Well, this was an intense episode, much more dramatic than usual.
Daikoku was really desperate to find another two, good that Yato's exgirlfriend, lol Mayu decided to help, but he couldn't find a third; it was a good thing that Hiyori showed a lot of bravery by looking for Kazuma to help, and he deciding to participate in the ritual no mattering to put himself in risk.
Well, the ritual part was really emotive, fisrt Yukine trying to deny everything, later fully immersed in an inner conflict, and then slowly realizing all the bad things he has done; how his envy towards humans for being alive and he being dead made him feel empty, but at the end Yato and Hiyori brought him back and stopped his transformation into an ayakashi, he finally accepted the reality and began to appreciate more his partners; also, both yato and Yukine saw how much of Hiyori has done for them, how she has save them, that was heartwarming. That arigato at the end, ah, the feelings.
Also, Nora is cute and creepy and the same time. xD

Best episode so far.

Damn, that episode was a tearjerker! 😭😭

I hate Yukine for being such a brat but when he finally confess his sins and ask for forgiveness in hurting Yato, I am already crying 😭

Also thumbs up for Daikoku for doing his best to help Yato.

Currently the best ep of this whole season. Really feel sorry for the trio with pains and tears they went through to get to this point.

This is not going to be the anime that I'm looking for, but still, it deserves the celebration.

for me, this episode was close to unbearable to watch. for the past 3-4 episodes we have been focusing on yukine's developing mistakes and him spiralling. while the other school kid, who was bullied last episode who yukine looked down upon, came to make his own decision, yukine just didn't fucking manage. After seeing yato suffering over and OVER again, the self pity doesnt stop.
it hurt to watch how he tried to appeal to the other regalia who have gone through their own fair share of misfortune. No, yukine. not everyone should be like you.

rant finished.

This has to be the best episode of the series so far.
I love to see how Kofuku and Daikoku actually care for Yato.

Im really starting to like Kazuma too
The suspense about Nora is getting better and better and i cant wait to see the actual history between her an Yato

This episode really hit me with the feels, it was so deep and I can agree with a lot of you that this is by far the best episode in the anime. Big respect to Daikoku and Hiyori, they were the real MVPs when it came to saving both Yato and Yukine 🙌

This episode is pretty mediocre to me. It's not all that bad, but I feel like it was too melodramatic and making things too easy. I don't like Yukine, he deserved some sort of punishment, but I don't hate him either. He is not that bad to suffer like in this ep, he did some bad things, but they are not as bad as killing people, like Yato did in the past, or bullying someone like that kid in school in previous ep. Heck, Kofuku nearly made man kill himself and opened vent that attracted phantoms, it's really much worse than what Yukine did. He is still a brat, but not that bad as the show tries to make him look.
And why didn't Yato just talk to him about his behaviour and its consequences? I know, he said in 10 ep that he wanted Yukine to realize his sins, but it sounds to me silly and lame. As is the 9 ep itself. I felt like it all ended too easy for characters. This whole idea about God being hurt by misdeeds of Shinki is making conflicts too uncomplicated, the choice is just between 3 options: banishing, killing or ablution. And I don't get why people hate Yukine so much that wish him death, he is just a kid, though acts badly sometimes.
And I have a feeling that Hiyori is becoming less and less focus of the show, she is just here to tell us Yato's and Yukine's story, nothing more to her. I hoped that show will tell more about her, so I'm a bit disappointed about this.
Still, the show is fine, just not really good for me, though I expected more of it when watched first episodes.

Does a teenagers rebellious attitude carry over through death? Cause the whole time I was like, Yukine you cruddy brat still giving attitude while getting purified.

Earlier I also thought what if Hiyori didn't take him away and just left him with Yato? Would everything be avoided? But I think that just would've been a woulda coulda situation and Yukine would of still been influenced just maybe delayed.

I was expecting something intense had to be done to save Yato, but I was absolutely not prepared for how emotional this got. Never would've thought I'd be fighting back tears for this show

Also, Daikoku being a crying mess at the end was hilarious. Dude's a softie after all.
