| Saito was kinda right when he said that he often failed to protect his loved ones. Even if they make it out without consequences that they weren't hurt. On the other hand, his past life of killing brought him nothing good. No one would want to live that again. The battle was fun. It was obvious that Kenshin was faking it, especially when the dude just started to explain everything (gotta love the retarded vilain), but seeing Kenshin dodging the chain was neat. |

| Yahiko and Kaoru really need to earn how to read the damn room. Despite being with Kenshin for this long and already having run-ins with people who know him they need it literally spelling out for them that a person in front of them is an enemy. Adds to the tension that Kenshin is finally against a match of an opponent, but to take such an easy hit sucks...and Yahiko's obliviousness makes it all the more annoying. It wasn't some new/altered technique, he was clearly aware of it, yet he insisted on putting himself in the most vulnerable position possible with no means of guard or evasion :/ |
