Every time I'm remembered of how much I love this OP. Episode was interesting as well. Looks like they used the "kill a human" method to try out the time machine huh?

Awesome as usual. I was expecting Kurisu to have a colder personality than that though. Not that it matters or anything.

lol. you see. the concept for time-traveling or even teleporting is that you break down the molecules of the thing or a person you want to sent to the past or teleport, the question is can they be returned to what their true form is? is the person sent or teleported will still be human after? since it is breaking down a thing or person into molecular level and then reconstructing it again, that's one of the main reasons why "teleporting" and "time-traveling" are deemed impossible.

We are not talking JUST teleporting. We are talking "teleporting between parallel universes", which is exactly what time travel is in this show.

Oh and also, information tends to get lost in a black hole :)

LOL. i'm just stating what i know about "time-traveling" and "teleporting". It's not a theory or hypothesis for the whole system to which Steins;Gate's universe follows. ^^
Simplistic beauty can't be appreciated by someone who looks for something grand in everything he watch.

This was pretty interesting. So SERN is actually CERN, which makes sense. They're making a great job in crossing fiction with reality through all these references. I love it. Okarin is also an amazing character and his interactions with Makise in this episode were great. I also loved Makise's reaction to the possibility of the microwave being a time-machine.

Anyway, it seems like John Titor is doing exactly the same thing in this worldline that he did in the previous one except in a different year. What's the reason for that? Assuming the worldline was changed due to that one message Okarin sent to the past (along with its consequences which are not fully known but include somehow preventing Makise's death), I don't think that has much to do with John Titor's mission. Also, it's becoming something like: with that message he changed the past (another worldline) which will undoubtedly affect the future which, on its turn, will affect the past through time-traveling. And that's scary. Based on this, I guess one of the people involved is the "past" version of John Titor.

They hacking into CERN also had interesting results. So CERN seems to be, indeed, experimenting on time-traveling and a person already died in one of those experiments. It also seems Okarin is somehow mixing the organization that's a product of his imagination with CERN which is very real. Either way, that isn't necessarily bad. I hope Makise comes back to the lab because she'll probably be useful in understanding how the phone-microwave works. The girl looking for the IBM is getting creepy with all those messages... Stalker.

Oh this show is great.
Love Makise. Hentai Tensai Shoujo, hahaha.

this @channel makes me think of 4chan, I can't help it. "John Titor took a dump, and now the universe is doomed."

It's great, love how the actual things are worked into the story. Okarins personality is GREAT. On one hand I want the organisation to be an actual thing that comes into it, but on the other, I really want it to never actually exist.

No trap? Pity.

So the "scientist" working on time machines didn't know what CERN is.
... and then they hacked into it in, like, half a day.

:/

Since I've already downloaded ep 4, I might watch it and drop this. The plot (jellyman!) doesn't look that bad, but it's not great enough to put up with the copious amounts of random humor. The pervert jokes at the beginning of this episode took 2-3 minutes. :/ I can't stand the humor and the characters .___.

Every time someone adamantly denies the scientific possibility of something, some jackass will make it happen in his garage with a microwave or an old car or a vacuum cleaner or something. Why? Because being crazy turns your science into magic.

-Steins gate? -...It doesn’t mean anything. -I’m sure. He’s mixing German and English. Okarin got off to the wall once again xD
-Who’d eat a pervert’s banana, anyway? ;D

When it comes to jokes, this anime is irreplaceable. But if it was only about jokes it wouldn't be as good as it is this way. To be honest, this anime has no flaw for now. Nothing fails - characters, art, (back)story...

“Hacking into the gate” (music). I have to get that OST O.O

I get the feeling those delusional phone calls and terms he is using actually aren't something delusional and have to do with different timelines in time travel.

They wouldn't call it "Stein's;Gate" for nothing. And Stein pretty obviously means Einstein. It wouldn't be Rudolf Steiner.

Anyway, as I've said before, it may not be any kind of masterpiece of anime or anything close to it. But it's definitely funny and definitely has an intriguing plot. Which is more than can be said of a LOT of anime today.

Gahhhhhh, stfu Mayuri! Die already! Kthnx.

Everything else was okay. Theories are interesting; some one-liners... it held my attention enough.

Coul John Titor could be the chick looking for the IBM? Or is that too farfetched?

I've just started watching this series. That spelling (SERN) made ma laugh. But also I don't know why they have said that IBM 5100 was created before BASIC. In fact BASIC is 10 years older (IBM 5100 was realesed in 1975, BASIC was appeared in 1964).

Also, ChäoS;HEAd is a shit. Good begining but after few eps it turns into big diarrhea. I wish Steins;Gate don't do the same mistakes.

I noticed this too. The simple explanation is that Suzuha's reasoning was inaccurate, in other words, she was wrong, which is perfectly reasonable (this gets more clear as you learn more about her). People don't have to be right 100% of the time. Her point still stands though. The IBN 5100 was designed to process special programming languages. I don't know if that's necessarily true of the real-world IBM 5100, but according to John Titor it is.

Wow, Itaru is one hell of a solo hacker. "Human is Dead." lol
This is getting a bit more intriguing. I personally love the parts when Titor explains time theory.
I still don't understand the whole significance of the IBN 5100, except at how badly Moeka and Titor want it and how it seems like a point of origin in this storyline.

I cant help but feel extremely suspicious. The girl who says time travel is impossible shows up to his apartment and is so curious about the machine that she doesn't believe exists or will ever. The girl that acts dim witted whose always around and yet randomly ruined the experiment before it could complete a second time. The girl fixing the bike who seems to know so much for being a tv repair part time worker on the subjects that were related to the events surrounding him. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

The banana jokes can't get old xD

And it can't get any more obvious that that red-headed girls is hiding something (besides the fact she is perverted).

I also love the fact that the plot ties in with the LHC. That was big a few years ago and I was very interested in what it could achieve and reveal. It turns out the world didn't end after all.

The banana joke never get old. I'm quite amazed how Daru always know how to make a statement sounds perverted.

Overall, this episode was a cliffhanger. Not much known about SERN and John Titor...

And I think Mayushii is hiding something...airhead girls are the most suspicious character in any anime series =)
