| Holy crap, they hit the ground running already. No build-up, just straight into that clutch competitive cooking. Against Alice too! ALICE. I expected her to be a later opponent. If she is the first round, I can't even begin to imagine. Also cute Megumi is cute. |

| Wow, They jumped into it right quick, no BS, No Shortstopping. straight to the matches. which i'm wholeheartedly fine with. heck it means the anime will catch up with where i'm at currently within the series decently fast. And Alice still remains to be possibly my favorite female character within this series, her and Soma manage to make some of the more funnier scenes (IMO). Next week will be Tadokoro's match! Can't wait. |

| RUSHED JC took on more than they could handle this summer and as a result we get 13 episodes of way too fast paced Shokugeki. The quality is still there but the pacing is simply too high, it doesn't work. |

| Okay I really liked the first season but this episode was disappointing to me. Everything was extremely rushed and there was not much tension cause it was obvious Souma would win. I'm not feeling very motivated to watch if the entire cour is going to be this fast paced... Since I don't know who will win the next battle, maybe I'll like the next ep more idk |

| Tbh, even that I liked it, it felt very rushed. There is practically no exposition and Souma and Alice get way too quickly to their duel without any rest. I guess that is what having only 13 episodes instead of the 24 the previous season had has. About the episode itself, well, it was obvious that Souma was going to win, since it's impossible that the main character would had lose at that point of the tournament , apart that him being the one putting his dish the last gave him some winflags. Another curious thing that I noticed is that the judges didn't had that big of a foodgasm when Alice presented their dish. At first, I thought that this thing was just J.C. Staff being lazy, but when they tasted Souma's dish and started to have that charasteristic SnS foodgasm, then I realized it was because Alice's dish wasn't as good as Souma's one, and she was going to lose. It was surprising. Too bad best girl Alice get eliminated at that early point, but, well, it was against the main character, so that was expected. The Nakiri grandpa removing his clothes was hillarious. Next time, it's Megumi turn, but I have the feeling she it's not going to win this. Especially against Kurokiba. |

| #FAST It's still good but but bit too fast. Alice got rekt because she didn't use the theme correctly, she just put her dish into the bento and didn't work with it. I personally prefer the anime because of the presentation. It's just a lot more investable, it is so much more fun in the anime. But the pace is sort of rushed (and it skipped something ontop of that), so the manga would be better if you don't have anything you like specifically about the anime. But as for the episode myself, I was totally into it. As usual, the show is as fun as ever. The show really knows how to present crap and i love the soundtrack and reveals. ; -; Its so much fun. I'm upset everything is basically spoiled by the opening, but, I suppose the journey is just as important, its not like I personally give a shit since I know everything already. |

| I felt like this episode was little bit rushed but I can see that they simply wanted to start the next season without cliffhangers. Hopefully though the next episodes won't follow the suit. All in all though... it's great to see this anime back. Even though I know what will happen, and who will win where this is still really enjoyable to watch. Well this is nothing unexpected though. The only sad part is that it's only 13 episodes while I think that there is enough manga material for more than that. With 13 episodes though I guess that they will finish the tournament and then there will be 'working arc' which will end the second series in a really great place for the start of the third one. |

| Ya like others said, I'm not a manga reader and I can tell the pace was upped (stuff was skipped). I'm not one to say anime must equal manga. The word "adaptation" refutes that. In any case, the 13 episodes fence is going to hurt this. I did not feel the tension like previous season during the battle. Dunno if that was intentional or because of the upped pace. I will say that if that feelings persists, this will not be special like the previous installment. |
| I haven't read the manga yet, but I do agree that it felt a bit rushed. Which is a bit disappointing, but still I didn't dislike the episode. Best moments were when Soma & Alice were talking to each other. Megumi vs. Ryou hype! Though the outcome has already been spoiled (I assume?) by the opening...sigh I really don't like it when the opening/ending spoil the whole show/arc, it's rather annoying when they do that. All well, still gonna watch anyway lol. |

| Predictable outcome but it had to be. Very good episode, and I'm glad they didn't go through a long recap. Maybe it would have been good to see some suspension or preparation for it though. It was a little rushed. |

| Whew this episode sure went by fast, I really enjoyed it, and got myself a bit drunk too lol. I really liked the Souma and Alice interactions, so cute, especially when she gave young Alice the bento :3 Gotta love Alice's expressions <3 Didn't expect Alice would get eliminated right on the first episode though. Both dishes looked amazing! but still Souma's will touch your heart. Great start for the new season, I'm really looking forward to seeing Megumi vs Ryo! |

| Gee,did it really have best girl to be the first to go out of the picture? Souma's always and always going to win so no surprise here but damn,way to take out my Alice.. The OP song is even more shounen-ish generic and uninteresting,compared to S1 where both were very nice,but ehh Oh nice,after this salty episode the next one is gonna be sweet for me! Fingers crossed for Megumi to fucking lose already |
Great way to start the new season, I'm so excited! Also, this face is pure bliss. The wait for next week is so painful that I cant "Stand" it. |
